Good suggestion. I feel as though there should be more ways to knockout/drag other players around aside from shooting their legs and taking their gear. I don't trust anyone I meet in a supermarket, but that doesn't mean I want to ruin their day and shoot them dead. Is this a mod or SA suggestion? Comparing the two I'd agree with the unconscious causing part for the mod. But the SA will have a wider range of injuries to inflict, so maybe not broken legs, and instead a 'limp' injury can be sustained.

What do you want to NOT be realistic?

What I do want: The ability to go full "mountain man" IE Skining animals and making clothes/tools Trap creation IE Tripwires/punji sticks/etc What I don't want: Ultra-realistic disease/infection system IE Maybe four-seven different illnesses to 'catch' instead of a million possibilities. Wiping our asses after shitting, ain't nobody got time for that. -
Does anyone else feel like maybe this week we shouldn't get one? The incident that occurred was obviously blown out of proportion, and even when Rocket told us to stop we kept on clubbing the baby seals. I was looking forward to one today/tomorrow morning, but part of me feels like we aren't entitled to one this week. Let alone entitled to anything from the dev team ever. Thoughts?

That's basically the definition of "Generalizing". This is the first time I've (actually bothered to) read a subject about bullet penetration, maybe it hasn't been discussed enough in the forums and that's why it has yet to be fixed. I mean shit if it's a DayZ coding bug then why wouldn't it count as something that Razor would fix? -
The SA engine was built from the ground up which is why it took so long to even get a screenshot, so how is it a port? And the info we receive is literally the point to which they've gotten in development. Not 'distractions'. The only thing they've withheld so far is the inventory system. As for the OP, Rocket stated at some point that single bullets and boxes of ammo were more than likely. Just no 'piles'.

Rocket's stated at one point that drugs would be a serious issue in the End-of-Days scenario. :rolleyes: I'm all for this idea if It's done correctly. It adds a whole new metagame to the world.

Quivers aren't adding arrows properly. for example you can add 2Rnd m104 pellets to a stack of 6, to make a new full clip. But trying to add single arrows to a quiver adds a new one while dropping initial quiver.

Am I thinking correctly that Fog of War could somehow be implemented into third person? I'm imagining a V with the bottom end starting at say, your waist, and spanning out to the top corners of the screen. Essentially giving you the same view from FP, but in a focused and reduced space. Maybe darkened/foggyness on the outside of the V. But that's just me trying to find a middle ground. I think Third-Person and First-Person should be a choice for the player/server, not majority desire. -
I think the whole point of the OP was to acknowledge that the animation is lacking a key element and it needs to be fixed/removed. My opinion is that ultimately it should be removed, unless the animation is removed initially, and only available when the [pack of cigarettes] ITEM is acquired. People arguing for the long-term effects are taking it to seriously, IE (50% stamina redux, cancer over time, etc.). This is a game where we will literally be worrying about the daily need of finding a hole in which to shit. There is no time frame that will occur in this game that you can expect to see long-term effects of smoking tobacco and it's ramifications. If you guys want to start talking about using other 'addictive substances' like say, Mr. Methamphetamine, then I'm onboard for near instantaneous effects :lol:

This has seemingly been fixed. The only problem I had was it would keep me online for zombie interaction i had 3 minutes before. They removed the 'infected aggro' dis-qualifier for logging out, so if you need to combat log and die because of it now, its your fault. It now (seemingly) works how it was supposed to.
