Why aren't the servers 1.7.X? I'm new to the game and I don't know why all the server versions are 1.62.XX when it says 1.7.X on the home page. I tried updating it with the updater and re-installing it but both didn't work.

Why is everyone having so much trouble playing this game? I didn't think the requirements were that high? I'm playing with every graphical setting maxed out and I don't have a uber-good video card, mine is 2-3 years old. I do have a 3.6GHz processor and 8GB of ram if that helps but usually these games require a video card.

I have a blood transfusion packet lol, I just need to find a good bud.

So I made my way to a city, I found a double shotgun on the outskirts and then a pistol. I was in the police station when I saw another person across from me at a store. We both kinda ran around each other before she started firing at me, I ducked and when she was reloading I blasted both shots and killed her. I pillaged around and found a crossbow which I traded for my shotgun. I had 4 shells for my shotgun but it sucks, and I would rather have a crossbow. I found another guy at the police station which we had a pistol shoot-off. I killed him and robbed him too. I healed myself up and have lots of supplies now, I ran my way out into the woods. I have about 3000 blood, I have a knife and matches but no hatchet. Its too blurry to shoot accurately. I hunted two rabbits but I can't cook the meat to regain blood lol. What should I do? I'm done for the night, but should I get try to find small towns to find a hatchet? Its hard to see lol, but any advice right now is helpful. The funny thing is, I have two murders and two zombie kills. But i'm no bandit, I was fired at both times before I returned fire. This is my first real hectic time playing, and its my 4th day having the game.

I must suck at seeing which houses I can rob because I only find like 2 loot spawns in each town I go to. And I usually sneak my way all through the town. I try to look at the windows but that doesn't work for me, if the house's door is closed I usually don't bother with it. I've been through 4 towns and I've found like 4 items. It's been a waste of 5 hours. The most valued thing i've found was an rifle with no ammo = ( . I would rather have a knife and matches for my useless rifle.

I just wanted a ride or a invite into their group... Jeeze. They could have told me over the mic to go away. It gets lonely walking the line solo.

I'm not alive.... Their sniper blew a watermelon-sized hole through my head.

Y didn't they give me a ride :'-( ??

I just got this game 2-3 days ago and just a few minutes ago I saw my first helicopter hovering over the biggest city (forgot the name), they had ground troops in the city because I was hearing machine gun shots. I made my way to the helicopter while yelling if I can have a ride, I guess I got to close because I was headshot by a sniper. All I had was an axe so it's not like I was a threat.

I love the game, my ONLY complaint was I didn't know if the money was going to where it deserved. I have no clue if Day Z dev team is getting any of the money or not. But I know as a stand-alone game then they will be getting money. I would have 5$ go to the original dev and the other 25$ to the Day Z dev.

LOL ya it is, like my uber-good photoshop? I do respect to the original dev team but once again they are get hundreds of thousands of purchases for a mod for their game. I personally would take that as an insult, everyone is buying my game to not play my game? But I wouldn't care because i'm raking in a millions for someone else's hard work. My game was dead, and someone else breathed life into it again. I would owe them a hell of a lot.

I thought they hired him for ARMA 3 and he declined and he quit the company awhile ago to work fully on Day Z.

I respect Arma creators but to me they didn't deserve my 30$ when I bought this game three days ago. I ONLY bought their game for Day Z and I wish I could have given the 30$ to Rocket instead. I could be generous and donate another 30$ but I'm living on my own and I don't have a lot of money anymore. Are they getting any of the money that the Arma creators are getting? Any money at all of the 800,000 new purchases of Combined Operations? I know they created the original game and the engine but I wouldn't have thought twice about buying this game on its own. What do you guys think?

I waited 12 minutes for it to "load" and when it does I walk 10 steps up a hill and two zombies start sprinting at me, I start to run away but accidentally hit "z" and my character lays down and the two zombies start wailing on me. At that point I said screw it and let them kill me for a restart. What was your worst spawn?

Ya I always find a hatchet and knife before I find matches.... But once I do find matches I see them EVERYWHERE!! You can refill your canteen at a fountain, I don't know about a lake.
