I haven't been playing very long, and like you I love the game and love the concept, but yeah... the hacking and hackers are getting on my nerve too. It's not even when it's something really obvious like a mass teleport. For example, people killing me from a rooftop in the game is fine, but when they do it with a gun they got through hacking? Well, that's not supposed to happen. But how do you prove it? You don't. I'm sure once this game becomes a stand-alone title, it will be a lot harder to hack.

I'm very friendly... I'll never kill another player. I even got killed for it today. Some player in a gillie suit asked me if I was friendly, and I said I was... backed away from him, and continued on my search of the grocery store. He followed me for a bit, and then (satisfied that I was friendly I guess) he gave me an assault rifle. I thanked him, but I didn't equip it since I have rotten luck with the guns in this game and would much rather take my chances zombie killing with my trusty hatchet. He told me to follow him and help him kill some other players. I said no thank you and dropped the rifle he gave me so he could have it back. He then shot me. :(

Now, to be fair... he didn't really say he was looking for love. ;)

Right now I'm happy if I carry: Hatchet Knife 5 bandages 2 morphine 2 painkiller Canteen 2 heatpacks and as many cooked meat as my bag(s) will hold after that. I'm a pure survivalist lol. I was all fretting about matches until I realized you can cook over the metal drum fires. It's no big deal to sneak into town and cook up a bunch of meat, so I stopped worrying about finding matches. That said, I actually did find some today. O_o I have a map, compass, and watch too... and just today I found a fold-up shovel. I'm not a big guns and ammo person. My husband will hop on and play (we share a computer and game so we therefore share a character) and he'll be dropping stuff to pick up every bullet or clip he finds, whether he has a gun for it or not. Ugh. :X

Yep, I had logged out while in shock. I needed to wrap up my computer session and get to an appointment, and I was in the fire station... I was lagging a little and sort of fell down the last flight of steps and had the shock symbol. I checked really fast to make sure he didn't have a broken bone or was bleeding and I thought, Oh well... I'll just go ahead and log out. Whoops! It's more of an inconvenience than anything. If it keeps up then I'll have a friend kill me and guard my corpse until I can reclaim it lol. Thanks all!

I lol'd but I know I shouldn't. XD I'm guilty of letting my younger kids watch me play too. My almost 5 year old son will lean on my shoulder and chant "Kill it! Kill it!" at everything he sees. O_o And when I killed a cow, he said, "Why did you kill the cow? It was nice!" And I said, "So I can get meat from it and eat it." And it was like *click* for him. "You get meat from cows???" He'd never gotten it before, I guess... and we live on a farm!

Choose another server... it's about all you can do, at least until that guy gets bored and logs off. I was in Cherno as a fairly new spawn (I had a hatchet and a few other odds and ends I'd picked up, but nothing grand) and I was crawling on my belly across some kind of courtyard... and was zerg rushed by three players with assault weapons. They gunned me down at point blank range as I lay helpless. I got pissed about it at first, but you know... this is the game. This is the way it is... and I hope it never changes. Now I only wish I was running Fraps when that happened lol. Can you imagine? It was awesome! Just remember, your next spawn might be even better. :)

Today I've been having all sorts of shennanigans. I've been teleported upon login (where I distinctly remember logging out in a certain spot but when I log back in I'm on the beach in a new-player respawn point, only I have all of my gear with me...) and my game is running super-slow. I've never had fps problems before with this game at all; it just started today. I'm wondering if maybe there's a patch or some update that I need to download? I know there was a little one a few days ago; is there another one now? Is anyone else having these issues today?

This was me getting started: Oh okay this moves him. What does this do? Uhhh... How do I open my bags? *hits B button* Well, that's not it. Ummm... *hits every button on keyboard* Okay then, now what? Let's go over this way... *runs* Look at that, what is that thing coming? Is that a zomb... YOU ARE DEAD Rinse and repeat about 50 times lol. Practice makes perfect! XD

I figured it was just something left over from the Arma game engine and was mostly for that game and not this one.

Oh man, lol... yes that would be my guess, that you got hit by a truck or a four-wheeler. Ugh, that sucks. Great video though!

For me, hitting the "enter" button on my keypad works. I found it by accident. :X

That would scare the crap out of me. D: This game is already worming its way into my nightmares lol.

Does this happen a lot? I had a realm I'd been playing on pretty exclusively over the last few days... seemed to be a good fit for me, right time zone, etc. But today after the little update we just had now I can't find it. Seems like that's happened to me before too. What happens to the realms when you can't find them any longer?

Testing how all this works, I set up the tent and put 4 cooked steaks in there. When I logged back in, the steaks were gone. I wasn't upset by that though! I was happy about it! I fed someone. Someone perhaps on the brink of death from blood loss! What a great feeling! (I'm hoping of course that the meat was actually looted and not just eaten by the game, but anyway...) Is it odd that I want to set up "shop" outside Cherno and fill my tent with cooked meat to share? I shall call it "Gum's Deli." :P Okay yes I know I'm a little strange.

No I wasn't upset. I wanted people to take it. :D I wonder how that would work?

Yes I get that glitch in Belota a lot, and sometimes in Cherno. I was blaming the bodybag decorations, not sure if that's really what it is though. Switching servers generally works for me.

I've never even seen a car yet. T_T

That happened to me once too... it was a pain because I wanted to just hurry up and die so I could continue playing. But I ended up just keeping the game logged in and going to bed. My character just eventually starved to death or something, because the next morning I had the "you are dead" screen.

I wondered the same thing when I started playing. I had assumed it was a slang/alternate term for zombie, until I read something that said "Zeds and Zombies" with an "and." So that got me thinking were there two different types of zombies? Like were the Zeds some kind of super zombie or something, lol. But no... it just means zombie. It is also a British way of saying the letter Z.
