as others have said, check your last save points, sometimes you wuill save it, but only the equipment on it will save, and it will end up two or three locations back.

incentive not to kill needs to be super zombies again, ones that dont just run to a gunshot for a second them come to dead halt, and ones that dont just wander to a noise for a minute then never move again. i kill everyone, because p[eople betrayed my trust, as well the fact that zombies are harmless. one time, i even offered a second gun to someone with a hatchet as my friend found a better one and had no use for my spare. no response, she slowly walked around the pews in the church while i aimed her down, as she exited the building, i walked towards the front of the church and she came sprinting in and axed me once, -6k health :( so i hunted her, and every one of her friends down in electro, and the zombies didnt pose a single threat, if anything they helped. imagine the end scene in 28 days later in the mansion, where the main actor lets loose an infected person and uses it to his advantage, except that i had a whole town working for me. secondly, i dont want to lose all my stuff to someone who is thinking the exact same thing, so i kill on sight, provided i have some backup, who can protect me from flankers. people thoguht KOS was bad in 1.5 and sometimes before, but its bad now, and its only going to get worse the easier it is to avoid z's in towns, the best guns need to not exist, AR's and anything other than makarovs need to only spawn in military spawns. enfields winchesters CZ's and double barrels can spawn in towns, firestations and houses, but only moderately. that way not everyone has an AR or barret sniper. otherwise it will only be a deathmatch game forever -
Dayz Standalone, Do arma 2 players need to pay again?

of coiurse you would, we didnt pay rocket for dayz, we paid bohemia and steam or other distributor for arma 2. if dayz goes standalone, then we will pay rocket and his team for day z -
its day zero.... is this really a question? it even says day 0 when you spawn, and i havent checked but i think it says day 2 or 3 or 4 as you go on.

he can definitely make hios own maps, he can also take any of the other maps and make dayz compatible on them, it just takes time. i would like to see a huge city in the middle of the map, a downtown core, and neighborhoods surrounding it in a varying pattern, maybe a map spanning river cutting through it, a couple highways through it, and some ravines and treed areas throughout. then. have small towns, the size of cherno or electro around it, one to the north, one to the south and one on eith er west or east. seperated by about 10 km of trees/farmland. if the 550 km ^2 thing is true, this would be easily done (aside from making the actual map) however the game would need to support 100 or so players rather than the 50 it is at. as for terrain, it really isnt any different than anywhere in north america. especially if they do a weather system including winter, and make a winter season last several days if not weeks. or god forbid, the entire winter year on the server. -
How to find out where you are without map?

you find a town and read the town sign, tab out to your saved map and find the town on that map, find the layout of the town to find your bearings and get a move on. it isnt that hard, but even if you have an in game map, some servers dont show your position on it. -

you can change gender at every respawn nad you dont start with anything except painkillers a bandage and a flashlight -

i have the same issue, i can play,. it just takes godamn forever on the loading screen. even on servers running 93825 it takes too long to load in -
make it like the hatchet was before last patch' date=' each hatchet had 9999 hits and reloaded when you pick up another hatchet, its not like you had more hatchets in slots, you had one, with reloads. so you would pick up a flaregun, and it would have 3 uses, same way as matches work, except with a limit, pick up another flare gun, and then it gives you another 3 rounds, that dont take up any space. \this would be a large area flare, the ones we have now have a radius, but using a flare gun you could illuminate an entire town(maybe a larger portion of a city, but a whole town, like kamy or something) [hr']

i don't know if arma vanilla has a flare gun in it already, but they should seriously look into adding one for this mod. have it as a tool belt item that you swap with pistol. shoot it into the air and get a minute or so of red light over a wider area. I've been thinking about it for a while now. -have zombies gravitate towards the flares location, -let it sit above the area for maybe 30 seconds (i don't know how long real flare guns last for) -as for ammo, have either a 5-10 minute cool-down, or have each gun give you 3 shots or something. -if you shoot it at an object instead of in the air it would stick to that object(people for example) thoughts?

i never understood the ch and 3rdp complaints either, tbh i cant stand playing without 3rd person, mainly because my vision seems way too cramped in first person, i like fp, for nighttime and flashlights, but i like having the option to play 3rd it doesnt make you any less skilled, everyone has the same advantage,, -

ok, so we all know there are a large number of problems here. dropped ammo turning into hatchets and crowbars (i have had some turn back to normal after picking up) but the problem here is anytime i pick up a gun, or item like knife compass etc, all my items drop on the ground and i have to pick it all up again, losing most ammo to hatchets servers- i have yet to play for more than 10 or so minutes, really sucks, but im not too worried, i made my way to a barn over several connects to finally loot it. servers problem 2 MANY SERVERS are reporting 7.2 patch, but once in the game, a VERY FAINT error message appears, I MEAN VERY FAINT, almost unreadable unless you look at the right background. it makes you aware you are on a 7.1 server, and you are running 7.2. The sound is gone on these servers, the debug menu is gone, and no zombies spawn, for me at least, i was able to get some loot zombie free, wasnt much, one round of ammo and a can of beans. worried these might be abused to get uber guns and ammo etc without hinderance of z's matches- i havent found a pack of matches since 1.7 was released. imn sure the loot tables were redone and all, but matches should be fairly common, if hatchets take up your pistol slot and you have that sacrifice in order to get wood (if hatches even can collect wood anymore) then matches should be upped a bit, i used to come accross way too many, i know, never satisfied right? line of sight seems to work well, i like it, however it seems z's have a crazy sense of where you are even with no ear or eye levels.\ melee weapons, in the little time i played i wasnt able to pickup melee weapons using g menu, to put them in a bag, i could use g to put my pistol into the bag first, then pick up the crowbar/hatchet, however this also dropped my ammo and everything else i owned. not much comment on anything else though, those are my main problems right now. the team has done excellent work over the last two days, so im not freaking out, just pointing out, hopefully these things can be worked on asap.
