i cant figure out how to update my game using the six updater/launcher thing from 1.7.2.4 anyone know how to do this?

so ive spent the first few days of my day z experience getting murked by bandits as soon as i get some gear and i was wondering if anyone was in the same position so im looking for like minded players that are just trying to survive.
