Run a program like fraps and observe how your fps behave. There is no one correct answer to your query unfortunetly. As Huntsman said, people report different fps on different settings low or high and it just seems to be all over the shop. On my computer DayZ runs almost identically whatever settings I use. The only thing that gave me a bigger boost was creating a virtual drive with massive write speeds and installing DayZ on that.

He did explain he had learning difficulties. Back here that's just a nice way of describing people who get sectioned. Some time ago I read a post by some guy who had 5 or so different accounts (names) which he would use according to his mood. But one doesn't really need to go through with such a charade. While people follow me sometimes I think "are they really friendly"? And they think "Will I have enough time to pull out a gun from his backpack if he stops"?

Just look how many servers are out there with 5000 vehicles, custom spawn gear etc. While this is partly brought on by scripters frustrating other players by destroying their vehicles and robbing their gear, it is a trend of this generation of games to be easy. Working hard with blood and sweat for your gear creates a fan base of people who are skilled. However, the initial phase of learning is really hard, hard enough to deter this fast food generation of players to skip the queue and go straight for the fucking happy meal. Which would be the servers where most shit is just given to them.

The idea that works for me is to have lots, hordes of infected that can easily overwhelm you if you're not careful. Venturing into bigger towns should be near suicidal, but if successful can reap huge rewards. -

The name was created to confuse newbs that go onto the forum and post random messages with an optimistic tone. Then again, DayZ does implicate zombies in its name, at least it did to me.

I don't know how effective it might be again a key logger, but Combofix has always fixed everything for me. Be warned though, use at your own risk. -

And just why are you suggesting all this anyway? I question your motives... Have you got some secret way to advertise your server while trying to convince everyone else to stop? Hmm. Very suspicious indeed. On a serious note, playing on public hive servers is like having unprotected sex with Third World country hookers. And private white-listed hives are like big orgies where people know each other more or less. -
Wow! I love the tense music at the start. Too bad that all that effort went into 22 minutes of boring. It's a skiddie who paid for a server and then cheats on it, who gives a shit.

Nothing beats a bit of DIY. Would combining objects in this matter change the feel of the game? I doubt it. Even if standalone doesn't have it at launch I'm sure we will see it included at one point or another. Making silencers isn't focused on PVP either. I suppose that's what we would try to do if we found out the infected were attracted to sound. Realistically though, it's not what anyone would think about after waking up stranded on the shore in the middle a zombie apocalypse. On that note I hope sound is fixed in SA and there no such thing as SD bullets. What's the point in all this if you would have to find "plastic bottle" type bullets.
