God/Allah/FlyingSpaghettiMonster/Zeus protect us if this shoddy (at best) program is implemented into ArmA 3. In the beginning, anti-hack protection was nearly none to none-existent. Only the lowest of script kiddies would actually get caught by Battleye. After several 'revisions,' we have seen an increase of apparently legitimate bans. So far 14 000 'hackers' have been banned. Battleye removed this statement after they had to unban several thousand faulty Global Bans produced by an update. Later, Battleye fixes that mistake while still letting hackers run free. Then they go and Global Ban even more people. I now dedicate this round of applause to the computer-friendly chimpanzees over at Battleye. Go fling your shit at another fan bases video games. *Clap* *clap* *clap*

Lol that's because most people just kill others. Or your mic might not be working.

SO BRAVE

I had the dots all over the screen this morning and a bunch of other settings I didn't want. Somehow fixed itself when I restarted the server and made sure it had veteran on (even though it already did.) :/ Still no luck with the removal of crosshairs or other things.

I'm having the same problem. I'm changing the config files to disable the Waypoint and Crosshairs option but it doesn't seem to 'remember' it in-game. While the server recognizes that it is in Veteran mode, it is not utilizing the configuration I set up. Any help from server admins of DayZ Devs would be much appreciated.

All I hear is people whining because they're too stupid to get out of Cherno and Elektro.

Was it a rapid heartbeat like, 'Budumbudumbudumbudum' or more slow like, 'Budum... budum... budum...' Also, what was your blood level at the time?

Hackers RUINING This Game Completely
BoZo_135 replied to imDudekid's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Unfortunately, the fact that this game is in alpha means nothing. The simple thing is that the overall coding, design, and netcode for ArmA II is complete crap. It is incomprehensibly easy to hack the game and spawn stuff, kill people, become invincible, etc. I have not done any of these things, nor do I intend to; just wanted to let you know that until BI completely rebuilds this engine or BattlEye or whatever, there won't be very much stopping hackers on DayZ servers. :/ -
To be fair, he did suck. -Camping Sniper >:D

No, there are no real "Supermarkets." Only convenience stores. Me and my buds have just taken to calling it as such since it makes a great deal more sense than the "supermarket." Still, some half-decent loot can be found there.

You should be able to run it fine on relatively low to medium settings.

They definitely do respawn, the original vehicle needs to be despawned or destroyed before a new one spawns. Don't know about how long it takes to respawn, though.

"I'M CONTINUOUSLY KILLED AT THE TWO LARGEST CONGREGATIONS FOR BANDITS!!! WAAAAH" People like you need to learn this. THE MAP IS 225 SQUARE KILOMETRES

Fences can be destroyed when a vehicle runs over them. The big stone walls can also be knocked over although I am not sure if any of the vehicles in DayZ are big/heavy enough to do so. (Perhaps a bus.) Air Control Towers, houses, barns, stables, un-enterable barracks (possibly enterable ones as well, haven't tested), are the destructible buildings that come to mind off the top of my head. However a significant amount of firepower is needed. For example, an attack heli or an A-10 from regular ArmA
