For a while now i've been reading all these posts about hacks, and in these topics there is always the same discussion between people who say it's unplayable and others saying it's not that bad. The discussion itself is pointless, ofcourse we all experience it differently, but what people don't take into effect is that we all play on different servers with diffrerent amounts of players. What i've noticed on my own server, is that when playing with <10 players, there are nearly no problems and hackers seem to stay away. But every bloody time i get over that number of players, the server gets annihilated and i'm being forced to restart over and over. With this in mind, not being able to lock my server, and my server filling up with over 20 players a day; It's such utter bullshit that people claim 'it's not that bad'. Just because you didn't encounter much hackers on your end, doesn't mean you can say to people to 'stop your whining, man up, go back to battlefield or COD'. Such stupid remarks, beyond my comprehension.. This is survival! This is game! No it's NOT. How the hell are we supposed to survive a nuke or a player shield or whatnot? Hackers are there, in many numbers, frolicking around like killer clowns murdering the entire server and then hop to the next one to boost their enormous narcissistic personalities. Here are some numbers what it is doing to the game. Sarcasm aside, i only type this because i like the game and hope to see it succeed in the future. But i'm not sure the future game really stands a chance if people have to wait for 3 more months while the mod is unplayable and more importantly while competitors are on the rise. Had to do something while listening to a boring lecture at Uni, so i felt compelled to make a topic.

Hello, as a server admin i update my scripts.txt on a frequent base from this website (http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/) like many others. After yesterday, it now start giving me script restrictions (41) and bans to people joining my server.. Anyone got the same problems? I reverted to an old scripts.txt now, but this one is really outdated.. Anyone with a solution?

My brother is trying to convince me to use a maphack as admin. So if people are teleporting, or killing with godmode etc. I could see in an instant who is doing it and can remove him. I've been playing with this suggestion for a while, but i don't want to get banned and am afraid the game will no longer be interesting/funn. Have though about putting it in the suggestion box, that only admins could use this kind of feature to ban people before they do damage.

That is where you are wrong, i encounter multiple hackers everyday on my own server and they fuck everything up. Mass teleport the vehicles and tents and insta kill everybody, on a DAILY base. Just wanted to point that out, don't care about the rest.

This should be possible indeed.

I've been considering to do this myself. Fuck the hackers! If there aren't any server to play on, maybe they'll fuck off. Might do this tomorrow.

I'm so sick of people ruining the server. What is the point of teleporting all vehicles/tents etc to one spot? Probably not gonna pay for next month, it's pointless.

This is in my remoteexcec.log and i'm not sure if this is due to a normal chopper crash, or the guy hacking in my server? Could someone please elaborate. Thanks for input, i have just banned him. Happened twice within 24 hours, just doesn't add up. Messaged him twice to contact me, with the means, no response.

There is nothing in the createvehicle.log.. I am going to ban him then. Btw: this happened twice. Same message yesterday, and now 5 minutes ago.

Afraid not. I'd wish they put a reset timer on vehicles. Not used for 5 days, is reset. The chopper on my server is no where to be found :(
