Hi DayZ Devs and Community, I would like to report a possible bug/troubleshoot a problem I am having with the game post 1.5.8.4 patch. I updated today and was playing just fine, enjoying myself, and aborted accidentally with the anti-disconnect icon. So I relogged in a half hour later and let the hourglass work its way down for several minutes or so. After that my character reentered but was frozen prone. I figured this was just a glitch so I disconnected and reconnected. However, now whenever I attempt to join any server, I get stuck at the black "Loading" screen and the client freezes (I have to force close the application to get back to my desktop). I have seen several different threads describing this problem but none have shown a concrete solution. Any help from the community/support team would be greatly appreciated. Your game is amazing and I would love to continue playing. At the same time, I know how busy you guys are with dealing with actual important issues at hand and therefore I will be very patient and maybe go outside ;). Hey Mike, took me awhile to get back to you (Saw your Reddit thread), here is the thread I had way back in 1.5.8.4 with the same issue. Rocket had us all send the support team our .rpt files (there is info in the thread with how to find that) and he took it from there. Hope you get it solved. Did you email the Dev team your .rpt files? If not, I would do so and wait a few hours for a possible fix. Best of luck, I know how frustrating it is.

Mine is currently fixed. Well done guys. I will mention to those still trying to figure it out...my connections to servers are substantially slower than before so whereas i thought i was still stuck on loading...it was actually working this time. Give it a few extra minutes.

Game works for me again! :) Not sure exactly what was done but you guys have my thanks!!! Zurloko...I lost a M4A3CCO, DMR, MP5SD, and coyote backpack...not the end of the world.

The problem (I believe) lies in the central character database, thus why you cannot connect to any one server. Apparently when servers updated the HIVE, several players' data did not transfer over correctly...and here we are.

Hey Rocket, Update: On one server I tried, I randomly got a "requesting character data" but it sat there for about a half hour. So I hit esc and hit "respawn"...it spawned me on the bitch with no gear, bleeding out. I was like, "thank god I finally got in". So I figured maybe things were working and logged off. Tried another server, still getting stuck at loading. Any ideas? All help is appreciated. Also what is the .rpt file we emailed you for? still cannot get on any servers properly since Rocket's tweet.

Not sure, but I haven't seen a response email from the dev team. I'm sure they are working on it but I would give it a day or so. A lot of people are having a lot of problems

Just tried Dal 13, same thing. Rocket asked us to please email our .rpt files to him with a specific title....look on the thread under announcements. Alright guys, for Rocket to address our problem individually do the following. Email you .rpt files to Dayz Dev Team with the email title as: "SERVER LOADING ISSUE: ROCKET" To access RPT files: C:/users/[your name]/appdata/local/arma 2 oa/arma2oa.rpt Dev email: [email protected] Good luck all!

Thanks man, ill try getting on in an hour. For those interested in tryimg in the meantime, try loading on Dallas 13 and see if it works. Much appreciated

It's happening to a lot of people. I've been using beta since first day playing (may 5th) so its not that. It has more to do with database errors since 1.5.8.4, but that's just my guess. There is a trending thread in announcements that we are all commenting on to hopefully get DayZ dev team's attention as they fixed a similar issue for ppl last week. Good luck.

Well this thread was originally started by Rocket a week ago where he fixed 1,500 people with this issue. That's why I posted so that he would possibly see it and do a similar fix if its the same problem.

Yeah that's my opinion as well. We are alpha-testers. If this was a final version itd be different bit its our job to find issues with the game and patiently await a fix. It sucks, but its whatever. I just want them to ve aware

Hi Rocket, This apparently is still an issue for many of us since the last update (1.5.8.4). I do not know how you fixed this issue for others previously but could someone look into the players involved in this thread? It appears to be the exact same issue. Yeah it is quite frustrating but I guess I will pretty much sit tight until there is an update to the database perhaps. Good luck and let me know if you find a fix. Currently talking to some ppl on DayZ IRC to see if they know of a fix.

Update: I redownloaded all the files for the @dayz\addon and tried to launch the game again. This did not fix the problem. Tried to play on a server with 1.5.8.3 running and that also did not work. Well shit....I also play on the Dallas 13 server, it is run by my clan [Rangers]. However, when the clan Admin did update the HIVE (I was on vent when he did this), I had no problem. It was when I got the disconnect and tried to reconnect.

Hi all, Finally registered on the forums so I could post on here. The [Rangers] are a great group of players - mature (all adults), experienced, and cool to hang out with. To all those claiming we do not use tactics, that is incorrect. While we aren't 100% all-military-tactical, we are smart with limiting too much cross-communication between squads on vent, focus on balance between different weapon groups (don't want every player with a sniper rifle), hold perimeter watches/patrols, etc. I hopped on the vent last night and have been playing with them ever since. Been a great time and we have kicked some major ass. As for everyone being "bandits", there are only two or three actual bandits in the group that I know of. If you are in the area we are in, we don't take chances. Part of being a good survivor is knowing how to survive, and trusting everyone will get you killed.
