im with sevral members of this forum on the " im done with this B.S" i to am shutting the doors on my server come the end of the month also ive now kicking thouse i dont know and to be fair its made the game almost enjoyable again but to much damage has been done and untill the end of the month i shall be continueing my "if i dont know you kick policy" ive payed my money its my server and as far as im conserned if people want to play on my server they have to abide my rules players should respect the admins not treat us like shit i think evryone should look at this the same way while we are paying to run these servers and further the expansion of the mods playerbase then we should have the power to efectivly administrate our investment if not then we should shut down our servers and let the dev team run "offical servers" let them front the bill maybe then they would treat us a little better rather than blameing us for evrything haveing a "Vision" is a great thing in theory but most visions are forced to change when set against reality

@ jwiechers no i never played BF3 that should not have any bearing on the points im trying to make in regards to DAYZ

unranked is always an option on all games how is dayz so superiour that it can ignore the requests fo something so simple ?

im still of the opinion that telling people they cant lock there own server that they pay for is Rediculus ive never played a game , mod or not that has such an arogant rule its like telling someone " hey thats a nice car you just bought .... you can only stear it with your knees " i mean come on what harm would it realy do at this stage allow locking think about if i a server is always locked people just wont play on it it will not become popular and then wont be an issue its like common sence has went on holiday around here

allow us to lock or password our servers without being blacklisted that way we can keep the people we know arnt breaking the rules on the server and keep hackers out that will give you guys the time you need to find a soulution that can be implemented hive wide and will prevent a large number of these angry posts as if hackers cant get on the server they cant cause problems and then once you guys come up with a solution or stand alone whatever comes first we can re asses the open server policy

@Gogster well it would apear you have hosted more servers than i in your time and have more experiance in dooing this sort of thing , i on the other hand dont me and 3 friends played DAYz and liked it we desided to chip in and rent a server from the lads at HFB servers now we only run our server when atleast one of us is on to moniter it but i can only use the inbuilt tools to deal with problem players , i dont deal with scripting , or log files or any of that i wouldnt know where to start i havnt doen scripting and game code since college, now if you expect every player to be as up on scripting methodoligy as you are to run a server then your going to be disapointed , im not saying your wrong to want people to run a tighter ship in server tearms but it is on the dev's side to make the admin tools as simple to use and accsess as posible , we shouldt have to troll through logs hunting for malisious scripts then having report it here in the hopes something is done , we should just be able to see a player in game , dooing something wrong ie (spawning vehicles) then be able to push a button to report him automaticly , then ban him from your server and allow the powers that be deside on a global ban the tool set was avalable in earlyer builds we had more simplistic ways of dealing with problems but now it seams we have to learn about scripting just to secure our servers and to be fair it doesnt even help the damage is still done , were still left being the janitor and cleaning up after hackers , i spent 2 hours yesterday infact destroying hacked vehicles in game so all the gear within them would dissapear

yes because i have the time the troll through a big ass log file every day to find the hacker and deal with it ,,,with the limited tool set at my disposal not to mention that your avarage player / server hoster using a company in order to hose there server wont have much knowlage of scripting and the like , now no offence intended but that is realy part of dev teams responcabilities the players should not be forced to clean up after the devs for making fuckups it is within there power to issue one change of codeing that could remedy this problem over night but refuse to do so leading to splintering withing the comunity and the creation of private hives witch isnt in line with "rockets" vision either

take a look at all the rules us as admins have to follow JUST for the privalige to pay money to run a server only to have it hacked every day where are the rules stateing Hackers will be located by battleeye and permanatly banned from using arma 2 online OH wait there isnt as battleye dosent work and every hacker simply uses a bypass script and then ruins the servers that we as admins pay for our of our own pocket No FUCK this im taking part in the shutdown of servers on the 17th 18th and 19th

im reading alot of missplaced B.s on this thread , "Oh admin abuse is focus point / stop them from doing unfair things " is any one seeing that this is the problem the DEV team/Rockets atitude is this mod is my vision no one may alter or ruin it while thats just hypacritacle No player should have power in his mind even admins , but by doing so hackers jump in and then start spawning anything they want and forceing players to do there bidding ( dance party the latest way to die ) now as an admin im unrelenting anoyed by the path rocket has went on incramentaly removing admin powers so that now were afectivly janitors on our own servers , when the hackers keep bypassing the safeguards and FISTING US ! , surely the best soulution in the short tearm is to allow us to LOCK or Password our servers untill they figure out a more rubust way to enforce battleye if that not accaptable then let rocket fit the bill for the fucking servers see what happens then P.s im pretty sure rocket is completely in the dark towards this issue as hes allready admitted in a interview with "sidestrafe" he doesnt play on live servers only on his own private builds so he doesnt get hacked What a shock hes playing with all the powers were denied and is completly oblivios

from experience of having players i ban keep coming back onto the server and having to sit there in the lobby and manuly kick them 17 times before they got the hint ,

This is getting dumb just got hacked again practicly 10 min ago got TP'd from the market in electro to an airfeild with about 7 other players in gillie suits and vehicles started spawning out of thin air ,i usualy play on GB #00 normaly a good server but now just another casuality on the lack of admin support to stop it , i am also closing down my server end of this month we have no POWER to stop this shit coz rocket keeps handcuffing us and blameing the admins for all the evils of the world , it may not be in his "vision" but password protecting the servers is the best short term solution at the moment

DONT !!!!!!!! i thought it was a good idea i hosted a server payed for it then rocket tied all admins hands behind our backs and whiped us where as before we could atleast ban players that were hacking if you can see there player name ofcourse but now that only option has been removed ah the awsome power of kick is all that remains , and unless your willing to sit in the loby and repeatadly kick ofending players then your humped Admins have less power than the hackers we trying to combat nope i like many others am closeing my server at the end of the month unless this crap is fixed and admins stop being castrated for the sins of a few Hacking admin fuckers
