the only thing that stops me from thinking disconnect timers are a good idea is legitimate logouts - if you're logging out legitimately after a sweet session and you are confronted with x seconds before disconnect, you have the 'esc' screen up and so don't control your character. try to imagine the feeling of 'ABSOLUTE WHAT THE FUCK' if your character was shot dead then. sucks

been mentioned many times, but i doubt it. maybe a countdown before you can disconnect, but probably not server joining as that would just annoy people and detract from the overall quality of the game. server hopping needs to be addressed some other way..

no, this is not CoD. you have to find each other. it's not a team deathmatch game hence you have no option (nor will you ever) to spawn as a group. besides, one of the most fun things is finding your pals in game! there can be suspense because it might be some random guy and then elation when you actually confirm it is each other and join forces. sorry if my language sucks in this post, many stouts were drank tonight :)

I highly doubt they'll discount it as with it being alpha release it's at what i assume will be the rock bottom price for at least the next year or two. my advice to you dude - buy it now, before it hits beta and the price rises (i doubt there will be announcement when it's going to beta, just like the alpha releasing it will just habben)

green mountain has never been a point of interest for me, but when i've gone by in passing there have literally never been any problems - never even seen anyone else there.

hopefully they just wont do it full stop, too many shitty servers for the mod due to private hive, its hard to even find a good vanilla server -
