You can get a Laptop with a decent GPU for £900. Seen them even with 7970m's. Also you can make a PC based on micro ATX or mini ATX form factor.

The minimum graphics settings should be Medium or High. No need to lock. Basically they need to make sure people cant turn down the grass and trees so people cant hide. Hiding is a big part of this game. People need to hide.

Quite frankly why do people with crap PC's think they are entitled to play games? If your PC cant handle it then thats called tough luck. Save up like the rest of us and buy decent hardware. If not then buy a console. Whats not acceptable is when tactical advantages are given to people who cant be bothered to get a half decent PC. Fix the settings on High and if you want more FPS then use a lower resolution.

Rocket should fix both at a level which provides cover and fair play. There is a setting on Trees which makes them so skinny they may as well not be there. Grass is the most important personally. This needs to be fixed because on low there is zero cover in woods. You can be hiding in grass on your screen which isnt there on theirs.

Of course it is. Once i turned it down i could see people in ghillies in the trees and grass from miles away. On high i walked past a ghillie within a few feet and didnt even see him.

Yes it is. Try playing Crysis 3 on High at 1900x1200 and then play it on high at 1280x786. Check the FPS on both. Also ARMA engine has low resolution texture settings with high levels are trees and grass. This can be done with minimum GPU since textures are going to be low resolution. But the issue i see is people running 1900x1200 on High texture settings with near zero grass and trees.

Trees and Grass is NOT a CPU problem and neither are shadows. Also DayZ has CPU issues in towns and not woods and fields. Reducing the resolution IS a fix for poor FPS. In fact resolution is the single biggest GPU hog outside of MSAA/SSAA. Also im not saying fix it to maximum but fix it to a medium/high level. Shadows people can live without or on low thats not the issue. Also im sorry but if you have a old computer then save some money and buy a newer one. New CPU's are cheap from AMD and so are quite powerful GPU's. There needs to be a fixed setting as a minimum in this game since tactical advantages are important in a game with perm death.

Welcome to the real world. After you spend half the year flying around the world promoting a game you already had 1 million potential customers you finally sat down to do some actual work. You set a unrealistic deadline and quite frankly handled the media rather than your customers. Easy way to find out the hacks and exploits is to sign up to the cheater forums who have paid subscriptions and they provide you with all the working exploits and then you just patch your client accordingly. The owners of the hacker forums have no idea who is a spy from anti cheat clients and who are genuine customers. The hackers who make the cheats rarely play the games anyway they are there to make money from their forums. like a criminal business model.

Even in America the 50 cal is a very rare rifle. Much more common are 308 marksmen rifles. Using 50 cal on humans is also stupid. The blast and sound are way to big to be covert. The round should also drop like a stone but it doesn't. Right now the 50 is the most unbalanced gun in the game and there are more of them than Enfields.

Make logging out 60 seconds wait to stop aborters and disable Alt F4 to quit. There must be a way since it doesnt work for all games. - Or make it so after the game quits your player can be killed 60 seconds after log out. Makes people log in safe places only. Show who logs in and who logs out so we can see when some bitch server hops and trys to get behind you and kill you. OR even better just make it so you cant log out and back into the same server within 5 minutes or a combination of both. Remove 1 shot kill 50 cal rifles and thermal scopes until you fix the gay hacking and item duping. Right now this game is Sniper wars and is becoming boring. Remove .50 Cal from game and just keep the smaller more realistic sniper rifles. Do you know how heavy a M107 is? you cant run around with it or shoot it standing up unless your Rambo. Make it a bitch to carry and you cant sprint with it. Remove Tents until you fix them who gives a crap tents unless your cheating. Remove the ability to save items in cars until you fix the duping. Remove the GFX that are bugged since you obviously cant seem to fix them. Who cares about dead bodies anyway. There is enough in electro from real players as is. Show who kills who... this is important to see who the dupers and cheaters are and also who is being a dick. No one cares about dogs. please fix these things before you start adding more stuff that isnt important. because right now this game is broken.

As much as I like the dog idea. If the zombies are as broken as they are then there is no hope for an intelligent dog.

This game will never leave alpha. Not now he's got the standalone. Have fun with the bugs. I'll see you next year when he's made his standalone playable and the game plays as intended.

Having seen how badly his updates break his mod rather than fix things I don't hold much hope for the game. Let's hope bi offer some half decent programmers who can not screw up the game like rocket does.

im not frustrated at all. Killing people is so easy on this game that i can go from nothing to the god mode setup within 5 mins of spawning in electro. there will be a ton of exploited snipers on that hill ready to be killed and looted. Once we have looted them then what is there to do but do exactly what they were doing until someone does it to me. It just makes the whole game pointless. Its easier to find a hacked tent in the woods than a can of beans in the supermarket. This is a great "zombie survival" game when the zombies arent even a problem and you can kit out your entire player in uber loot within 10 mins of being near the city. This game is TOO EASY thats the problem. So either you bitches are happy that its EASY and very exploitable or your just not that good at it and the current sad state of this mod works in your favour.

bullet proof vest works like Ghillie and you cant wear both. That would really upset the snipers.

Everyone does have an AS50 when they spawn its right in their 10 duping tents. thats why 75% of the server is sniping from hills with them
