On that VS3, you can fit at least 3 dudes on both sides, probably 4 + a few people sitting on the truck bed. Regarding blood bags, they are a logistical nightmare to use, inconvenient and offer little reward. Here are some random thoughts in regards to it. Testing kits are too rare. Bloodbags are too rare. They should have a high chance of spawning together. I hate that in DayZ stuff that goes together spawns separate like ammo, magazines and guns. Getting into fights or a passing swipe from a zombie will destroy your stuff. Your precious rare stuff. Your clothes, equipment, everything is so fragile. Your and your groups blood types are changing with every death, changing the dynamic and requiring to find rare items again. There is no net gain with a blood bag. You get and your friend loses. Only viable option is to farm yourself for blood. You can't mark blood bags as certain blood type (either correctly or incorrectly if you want to). What if you forget or have a mix of blood bags from different people or want to store or stash some. Nothing bad will happen if you have low blood, you won't go in and out of conciousness. There is no urgency to getting blood back. I loved that in the mod you could pass out and wake back up with low health. In SA it feels like you just can't save your dying friend. All their shit gets ruined in the event that got them to the state they are in. Much of your stuff gets destroyed by just playing the game. Fighting to save your friends life just isn't a thing anymore. Stuff too rare, not potent enough and turns to dust when a hostile looks at it wrong. When you go unconcious the SOP in SA is to respawn. In the mod people waited because they knew when and if they would regain consciousness. They would bandage themselves, run into bushes, pass out, regain consciousness and fix themselves. Food not being instant blood and you requiring to be filled to the brim with it to heal has destroyed this brilliant gameplay element. You can't go unconcious every 90 second for a minute. All your shit that you had is ruined and you'll starve to death before you find enough food to start healing. Or you attract every zombie from 300m away and get instantly destroyed. If you stock blood bags before a fight then there is a high chance that after a fight they are ruined. Hopefully the Devs can think of something to restore that gameplay from the mod.

FX 6300 is 3.5 GHz and the a10 6800k is 4.1 GHz by default and a turbo speed of 4.4 GHz. I doubt the architectural differences are that different that your CPU should overcome a 0.9 GHz difference. Check if your boost speed of 4.1 GHz is engaging when playing DayZ. Overclock.
-
Its your CPU. Right now its ALL about single core performance. AMD cpus perform a lot worse than intel. DayZ is so CPU bound that on high end CPU and GPU you can be 100% on 1 core, 50% on the 2nd and 20% on GPU with 20 FPS. Try overclocking.

DayZ Dev hints at possible DX 12 Engine, are you all willing to wait? I know I am
franzuu replied to john5220's topic in General Discussion
It was up to 600% performance increase in draw call bound situations because one AMD GPU was performing really really poorly in DX11. The reported possible draw calls in DX12 is 600,000. DX9 being limited to 6000, realistically to 2000-3000 in application, so a 20,000% to 30,000% increase. The anandtech article, read all pages http://www.anandtech.com/show/8962/the-directx-12-performance-preview-amd-nvidia-star-swarm 1 interesting thing about the DX11 tests is that Nvidia is about 1/3 better than AMD. In a cpu bound situation when the cards aren't working at 100%, you'd expect identical or very close performance. Just goes to show that AMD drivers suck. -
report your issue on http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view_all_bug_page.php they have a better understanding about what is wrong, might even be something they need to fix on their side.

maybe its to do with battleye contact [email protected] also report it on http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view_all_bug_page.php I didn't know this functionality was available and i want it too.

DayZ Dev hints at possible DX 12 Engine, are you all willing to wait? I know I am
franzuu replied to john5220's topic in General Discussion
Going DX12 would allow the devs to spread out the rendering tasks on the available cores. This will have a direct impact on GPU utilization. Right now when you enter a town there is too much going on for the single core to handle. Your GPU isn't getting instructions fast enough and works at 20% while you are getting 15 FPS. Server performance does have an affect on client performance. Running the same mission on a crap server vs a good server you will see an FPS improvement, only thing changing being the server. -
Is DayZ using the ram? Something probably has a memory leak. if its DayZ then report it to http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view_all_bug_page.php

try reporting your issue here http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view_all_bug_page.php might take a while for them to get back to you, maybe its something that BE, dayz devs need to fix. -

The FPS bites the same amount of ass on $4000 supercomputers. There is nothing you can magic out of a potato. -

It installs some necessary stuff that enables you to run applications developed with Visual Studio 2013. If you had Visual Studio 2013 you wouldn't need it, but only developers do. This is for users. The Devs recently upgraded to VS2013. It should have installed while installing the game through steam or updating it. Its probably the admin privileges that is messing it up. Pretty sure you get it from windows update too. You might already have it, but it might be corrupt. Try NOT running Steam as admin. Steam might have admin level privileges on all accounts. Do you have any firewalls, antiviruses or other monitoring software on the PC? -
about the same increase using winxp compatibility mode on win7. Not sure about the technical reasons of why. Hopefully the new renderer comes soon.

the same way you added all of that stuff. Check launch options on steam. delete the dayz folder in documents dayz-be.exe properties, disable compatibility modes -

its the XP compatibility mode. The game doesn't work on xp. Remove it. Also if you have the -winxp launch command then remove that too. The guide is outdfated as of 0.53 -

Bodies disappearing in a matter of 3 minutes
franzuu replied to waddles1337's topic in New Player Discussion
If you log out unconcious you die. In 0.52 I heard of a "deny loot" script or something like that teleported the bodies to where ever. When the alpha was released, if you died and left the server before respawning your body disappeared. Maybe this bug is back. try reporting this to http://feedback.dayzgame.com/my_view_page.php -
there are no non-BE servers available anyway
-
try running steam as admin

I think its because in windows XP battleye can't do everything it wants to http://www.kernelmode.info/forum/viewtopic.php?p=25034#p25034

I read somewhere that the devs are redoing the sound in DayZ, so I figured I'd finally make a topic for this. Right now if a person outside your network bubble is blasting away with his gun then you won't hear it even if IRL you should (currently you often don't hear gunshots right next to you, but that is another matter). Sounds should have a network bubble as large as their travel would be in a best case scenario, over water and upwind for example. From there on the sound should be distorted by the sound engine. Stuff that should have an effect on sound. 1. Wind direction and speed. 2. Distance (duh) 3. Air temperature 4. Objects and terrain that is between you and the sound source (buildings, trees, forests, hills etc) 5. Type of terrain. Rocky terrain will cause more reverb and echo, dirt and grass will absorb more of the sound and be less echo-y. 6. Echo. As in bounce off of a hill, house, mountain and come to you. The initial sound + echo(s). Depending on distance and location 1 gunshot can sound like several. Amount of sound that comes back at you dependent on the angle of the surface the sound hit in relation to you and its features (rock vs long grass). 7. whether the sound originated from a confined space or the receiver is in a confined space (same as 4 really). I don't know how much of this is practical but right now distance sound is atrocious. It was better in arma 2 (because of the lack of network bubble, but still bad) and is bad in arma 3. This is something that BI has never put much effort into. Just make it sound good and believable.
