Someone messed up the wiki. Half of those entries are duplicates. M249 and M249 SAW are the same, Mk48 and Mk48 Mod 0 are the same, AS50 listed twice, CZ550 twice, M14 AIM and M14 EP1 are the same... and those M14s are battle rifles, not sniper rifles. The M14, FN FAL and Lee Enfield should have a separate category on there, as they are neither sniper nor assault rifles, but Battle Rifles. Three LMGs, six sniper rifles.

These things aren't possible on the hive because of the hacks, and especially the server hoppers. It doesn't how matter how helpful people are, banded together, when they're all 100 feet in the air and two seconds from a splattery death. Face it... the hive, in its current state, is a flaw.. not a feature.

It's really about luck... so you gotta weigh risk vs reward. Shouldn't have passed on the M24s... they use DMR ammo which seems fairly common. Or did you find them before you could split and combine M24 to DMR ammo?

Except he now has control over the server his body appears on, giving him a far better chance of recovering it himself. I don't think people care as much about their zombie, murder, bandit kills... or someone else getting a notch in their rifle... than getting their stuff back.

I've found four DMRs, each time they were in hunting blinds. Found a M24 in the tents at Berezino. I've only found a CZ550 once though, and that was the first day I played.

Then I guess he wasn't too slow. Loot denial was a success.

Getting off the coast alive is half the fun spawning.

The one time I went up there, a clear night, full moon, creeping along the chainlink fence... and I spot half a dozen zombies marching towards the gate in a straight line, single file. Before they got to the gate, they all just went berserk, screaming, running around at full speed as if they were chasing a survivor. I hit the deck and hid in the grass for ten minutes watching them tear around the courtyard, chasing nothing. They would run to the buildings, stop and shuffle around a little... then turn back and run around the courtyard some more. I decided to sneak in anyway, so I crawled along the fence, and skirted the courtyard towards the tower... passing the very disturbing mass grave. The zombies were still going nuts, but I made it into the tower unnoticed. I got up onto the tower catwalk, and when I looked down into the courtyard, the zombies were still freaking out. So I start making my way back down, but when I got down to the door and looked out side... all the zombies were gone. I crawled back out the way I came, never saw another zombie in the area. With all the sneaking I was there for at least half an hour. If there was someone else in the area, I never saw nor heard them. Haven't been back since.

At some point, a military man decided that the word "bandit" also applies to enemy aircraft. At some point, a game designer decided that the word "bandit" also applies to murderers in his game. It's also not the first time that murderous characters in a game have been referred to as bandits. See STALKER. See Metro 2033. See any D&D game.

But... they are bandits. Haven't you seen what the game labels people as if they've killed another player?

I'm fairly certain it's the soldier corpses. I haven't seen barbed wire cause it, but every soldier corpse turns into a jagged flesh tree. Once you get close to the corpse, it stops doing it... so it seems to be a mesh error with one of the LOD models. If you pay attention to the colors, you'll see that they are all colors present on the soldier corpses, greens and flesh colors, which are not present on barbed wire.
