I had an admin's buddy pinned down out in the open with nowhere to go, so the admin restarted the server. Server comes back up and when I got back on the buddy is standing right behind where I was and shoots me dead immediately. Then the admin kicked me off. Yeah, they're a bunch of noodledicks. -

I've died so many times from being teleported into a church with everyone else and an invisible hacker, being dropped from the sky, invisible hackers teleporting around and executing everyone, hackers driving invincible SUVs that can drive through any object but still kill players on impact, hackers replacing everyone's inventory... Yeah, I'm losing motivation to play. It's not really fun anymore. Doesn't matter how empty or full a server is... some prick with a script is always just moments away from showing up to ruin everyone's fun. -

I always kill military, including pilots, zombies to find military ammo... never found any goggles though. I'll keep trying though, since it was already my policy to kill them. -

Every time you mention your non-hive server... you're drawing attention to it. I've seen plenty of hacking on non-hive servers, so you're really not helping anyone... in fact, you'll probably get an increase in hacking.

It should be pretty obvious to anyone who has worked on a game with 3d models before. The LOD (level of detail) mesh for soldier corpses has been messed up. This means the lower resolution model, that you see from a distance, is the problem. You'll notice that if you get close enough to the corpse for the full resolution model to be visible, the problem goes away (for that one soldier corpse). You can even see how the low resolution model is completely invisible and you don't see the glitch at all, but getting close enough to the corpse causes the full res model to appear. Likely what has happened is they tried to optimize the lower resolution model, exported it wrong, used some wrong setting, and screwed it up. It should not be a difficult thing to fix. Sure, it could be something else entirely... but I'd bet my beans that it's a LOD mesh, and simply removing soldier corpses would be a quick fix for most of us, or just rolling back that LOD mesh to before they fucked it up would be even better. -

You use a zero risk server to flank someone on another server, and then act like you did something special. You're a cheater. You might as well just get some scripts and spawn the gear yourself, because there's really no difference since you're already cheating. -

You realize that if you get shot with a .50 on the leg, or the arm... you're going to lose that limb, right? You take one in the foot, you're going to lose that foot... it's coming off in pieces immediately. There won't be enough of it to reattach it, shock and blood loss will take care of the rest quickly. That's why it's an instant kill. There's no reason to have a game treat such a wound otherwise... because you are combat ineffective right away, a casualty. You're out of the fight and will never return to the fight. -

Hardly. I find ghillie suits all the time in castles, apartments, heli crashes, just about any residential location (even doorsteps to buildings)... but I've never found a .50 at a spawn location. There are a ton of low risk places ghillie suits can spawn, so they are far more common. -

Had a little prick named Whickno on a server today, running around invisible with his AS50 and M9SD teleporting to and killing everyone over and over. Spawning satchel charges next to people, detonating them. Been teleported with the entire server to the Cherno church, which was completely barricaded with barbed wire and sandbags three times over the past few days. Invisible guy headshots everyone. Been teleported into the sky with everyone else on the server half a dozen times. Had a guy teleport and get into my huey when I was several miles off the actual map and try to steal it. All of this in the past week. Before that, I'd only encountered one blatant hacker in July... which was just him killing everyone on the server at once. Yeah, hacking has definitely ramped up... and the battle eye boast about banning 11000 cheaters comes with the disclaimer of "since june 15th". They likely banned most of those people before the hacking really got out of hand recently. -
Having separate PVP and PVE servers would in no way hurt PVP... unless you're one of those PVP "professionals" that does nothing but snipe fresh spawns on the coast. Those PVP players would be forced to PVP against people that are willing and able to shoot back 100% of the time. So yeah, if you're a coast camping douchebag... PVE would be a big threat to you. Your big murder count will go down, but your bandit kill count will probably stay at the big fat goose egg that it's at now.

Yeah, the battle eye announcement says they've banned 11000 cheaters... since june 15th. Seems like most of the hacks have ramped up in the past two weeks though. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

Why is a helicopter an ambient sound?

I've heard ambient helicopters, gunfire, chain link fences, horses, bicycle bells. They're always the exact same sound clips... four rounds fired from an assault rifle, and a very brief fade in and out of a helicopter. I often hear the ambient helicopter sound in the Berenzio area, when approaching the tents and cutting through the helicopter landing pads there. -
Use it to what? Take up inventory space? It was just the ammo.
