drinking whiskey would lower your body temperature even faster. normally when your body is too cold, you start to shake. these are muscle spasmes to generate heat. your body also narrows blood vains to your limbs thereby making it easier to raise the core temp of your body. drinking alcohol opens up the vains letting colder blood from your limbs to your core, hearth lungs and brain. this will let you go in hypothermia and without help from other players you will die. cool idea tho ;)

just stick with it. learn the control and how to not aggro zeds.. i started two days ago and took me three arma2 bootcamp runs to get used to the clunky controls. after that it took me a dozen of lives to learn the game a bit. since yesterday evening i finally have a makarov, water and food. It's a game i like to play because of the setting, excitement and the not knowing what comes next. p.s. i bought arma2 and arma2:oa just for the mod ;)
