Soldiers and Police Zombies are common at the deer Stands ive noticed. But any type of zombies in the forest is an indication that something (usually deer stand) is nearby

Didnt read all replies. if you spawn near Kamenka, there is a road leaving Kamenka to the North, if you follow that road there will be one to the right of it just a lil ways out of town and 2 more to the left about equally distanced from each other.I found an AKS Kobra and 150rnds of ammo within 5 minutes of spawn checking those.

To answer your question, you can get sick from more than just cold, you can get it from zombies, or other players that are sick. You most likely got it from a Zed if it wasnt raining. If you are infected (coughing) the only cure is anti-biotics, if you dont care about stats its much easier/faster to put up a tent, store your gear and go suicide then get back to your gear ;) I've seen some people say you can cure an infection with heat from a fire, but I think they were confusing it with a cold, according to the wiki. Infection Symptoms Character will cough and splutter, losing 3 blood every second. An infected player loses blood continuously with the rate of blood-loss slowing down once they reach 6,000 blood. Causes Causes of Infection: Random chance when Temperature drops below 36. Spending time near players who are already sick. Very small chance of getting it from zombie bite. Treatment Treatment for Infection: Using Antibiotics will cure the infection, however they spawn rarely. [edit] Cold Symptoms Character will shake from coldness, but not as shaky as Pain. So me and a buddy are out looking an I need water and food pretty bad, but dont have any more left, everywhere I stop has no soda or food, so I decide to hit the cherno market. I get my soda and some food and decide I would snoop around cherno some for an Alice pack. I am sifting around the market and some dude runs up on me in the back room. He has a makarov so I crank off some warning shots with my AKS Kobra and he bolts. I think he wanted my AK or something because as I am killing off the zombies that heard my shots he comes back. so I just tear into him with the AK, finish off the zeds, bandage myself and go about my business. My buddy that is also online wants to meet up and loot cherno with me so I log out for a lil bit and do other stuff while I wait for him to arrive. Once he arrives he checks the loot I left and another (or the same) makarov ninja busts in and burns through 2 mags at my buddy who only has a hatchet. I log back in and these 2 guys are still having at it like a couple maniacs, and as I load in my buddy starts screaming through the com to the guy "Ohhh your gonna get it now! Your gonna get it now!" chasing him with an axe, into the back room where I am and I tear into him with the AKS Kobra, but my murder count in that whole time only went up by 1. I thought maybe the guy didn't die from my AKS and died when my friend "made sure" by hitting his corpse with an Axe, but his count didn't go up either. By this time every zombie in the city is on our door step, so once again I put the AK into action and cut them down. My friend goes back to looting the front room while I eat canned goods off the floor in the back to recoup some blood, and I didnt know he went around the outside to the back doors looting the piles out back. I think the dude we just killed is back again and as my friend says he is opening the back doors I let out a short burst and break his legs with the AKS... lol oops. I had used my morphine earlier so I couldn't help my buddy, but his Fiance was about to log in and she was about 20 minutes out from cherno and had morphine; Time for a rescue mission. So me and him make our way from the market to the church and inside he finds a dbl barrel shotgun, whatever better than nothing. we hold up in the church and wait for her to get to us. Once she arrives, she blood bags him and injects morphine and we head to the hospital to resupply, we start looting the apartments while we are there and he gets an AKM. we end up with zombie aggro and between my AKS, his AKM and his Fiance's Winchester shit gets a lil crazy and needless to say a frag gets thrown, and sniper fire starts coming in with the zombies. Time to ex-filtrate and head home. With a little bit of teamwork and an AK or two with plenty of ammo, you can stand up to cherno on a server that has ~30 people online. No casualties, but every one of us suffered a broken leg at some point, his fiance's leg broke falling off stairs in a barn and mine actually broke 3 times, once in a gunfight, and twice falling off stuff lol.

Running fraps is more CPU intensive, not really graphics since its not rendering anything, just saving what is already rendered. You might want to look into other recorder options than fraps if it bogs you down that much.

Who are you, to be judge jury and executioner because someone is running towards elektro with a nice rifle? maybe they are meeting up with a newb friend or squad member that died? maybe they are in dire need of resupply and elektro just happened to be there? Maybe he's doing the same thing as you and lying in wait for someone else with nice gear to run through a field? More importantly, if people with nice gear aren't allowed near the coastal towns? what are you doing there? If you just want to murder people, then say so... don't come at us with this holier than thou crap like you are some kind of paladin for newbs.

You can set favorites in DayZ commander so that you can get back to it later whether it comes up in a search or not. what will generally keep it from coming up is it will have a misleading ping of 10k+ which get filtered out. Using both DayZ Commander and Six Launcher I was able to put in my search name and refresh over and over and it eventually comes up when its "ping" dips down under 10k. Something definitely needs to be looked at, the majority of the servers show a ping of 9999 despite being perfectly lag free giving me a ping of 30ish ms

So I wanted to go out and get some supplies to stick in my tents to help me bounce back after a death a lil bit quicker. So I grab my DMR and head out, and sloooowly make my way around to the eastern fire house, checking the hills and moving slow, I aggro some zombies in the field and book it into the house. in the entrance to the stairwell is a guy sitting with his sights already fixed on me as if he was expecting me to run in right then, no questions asked I light him up with the DMR because he is in an offensive position to be able to smoke me. I reload and make my way up the stairs because the zombies are on me and I plan to shoot them as they come up. I also place myself in a corner to help against sniper fire... well, I got sniped. uggggh. What bugs me is I sat there and watched the firehouse, and slowly made my way up to it. and the dude was just camped out there... and this is on a server of 5 people... how can someone enjoying sitting there crouched in an offensive position waiting for 1 of the other 4 people on the server to run in... he deserved to die. Chances are he was working with the sniper =/ I just D/C'ed after that, no sense in going back for my DMR, it wont be there. or will it? I am going to make a suicide dash I think lol

Most likely an ambush point, they had wire and stuff set up to slow people down, but there was a small gap. if there asnt the wire blocking all the truck bay doors I probably wouldnt have gone in guns blazin' lol. I am going to miss the knock down power and accuracy of the DMR, but wont miss the audible range on the gunshots report lol.

LOL! I started off logging in at my tent, I made a trip to elektro, NOT cherno. There for, no matter WHERE I go, I have to go FROM my tent. Regardless if its up at devils castle or on the runway of NWA... Reading comprehension is a beautiful skill to master in life... Seriously, no where in that post do I mention any city of any kind and you some how assume its cherno and call me stupid assuming my tent is right out on main street please... As for me playing a sniper. Negative, I like the DMR because it can be fired from the hip semi auto or shouldered for a more accurate shot mid to long range, if I were playing as a sniper I would have a M24, AS50 etc. etc. I just really like the DMR, it is an awesome multi-function weapon and anyone that doesn't think so probably doesn't have much trigger time with one. Considering I've survived multiple close quarters shootouts with it attests to that. If I got scared I would have logged out after the first few rounds that were incoming, the sniper wasn't that great of a shot, I was just pinned, I horde of zombies coming up at me, and a sniper shooting at me through the windows, I just went prone and hoped for the best. If I was scared of being shot or losing my gear I would have combat logged, or just not went to elektro. you guys can avoid the "meat grinders" all you want and go eat twigs and berries out in the woods, getting shot at is what makes this game fun, getting shot at and coming out on top makes it even more fun. I picked up an AKS-74 Kobra within 5 minutes of respawn and now have 5 mags for it, I will give this lil fella a go 'round, I have already noticed it is far quieter than the AKM lol.
