    Recently Picked Up Items Poofing.

So a friend lent me a rangefinder and some nightvision goggles to hold on to while he went into Electro as I gave him sniper support. When we left the server (20-40 minutes later) and joined a new server both of the items were gone. How do you make certain that the items you have in your inventory save? I lost my M4A1 CCO the same way.

In Need Of AS50 Ammo. (Will Trade)

I recently ran out of ammo for my AS50 and was wondering if anyone wanted to trade some M107 or AS50 mags. I'll do some military loot runs to find some later but I figure why not cover all bases? Post some offers and I'll see what I can do. Thanks!

    Adrenaline Rush Through Chernogorsk

I've been playing DayZ for about 2 weeks now and after becoming fully stocked out with a m4a1 and a very lucky AS50 find, my friend and I decided to join a populated server and run through Cherno guns ablaze. We started out on top of the very high industrial building where I quickly scouted around and found an unfortunate survivor fresh from the shore running around inside an unfinished construction site to the west. I lost him a few times but managed to take 3 shots at him as he ran outside. He stopped and looked behind him, not believing that he was being shot at and I managed to place a shot center mass from about 400-500m (First casualty: Taboroboy, R.I.P). My friend (James) finally loaded in as I was frantically trying to claw my way down the ladder, starving. A zombie managed to break my leg as I descended, I had some morphine luckily. James climbed down, handed me some beans, and then we ran for the market past the fire station to our east. As we were about to run in I spotted another survivor with some sort of low-tier weapon. James, the nice guy that he is, tried to give him a warning as I fired a few pot-shots at the building he was hiding behind. The mysterious survivor managed to run away as I tried to flank him. James almost died as another player was hiding on top of the fire station, luckily he missed and didn't see me. I mowed him down as he climbed down the ladder to finish his dirty work (Second casualty: Unknown R.I.P). As both of our hands were shaking James and I decided to get out of the city, and ran for the northern outskirts. James made one last look back and saw 3 survivors on top of the industrial building where we were moments prior! I panicked as I saw two ghillied snipers, one scouting with a rangefinder and one laying prone with a sniper rifle ready to kill. I panicked and took out my AS50 and kept a close eye on them. James was busy with zombies and just before they spotted us James managed to pull out his rangefinder and give me what I needed. "450! 450! meters!". I changed my zeroing for 400, and placed a shot in the dark half a mil-dot down towards the snipers face. My heart skipped a few beats when I saw a red smattering on my screen and yelled out "headshot!!! kill!". It seemed like the sniper and I locked eyes before my shot hit him, if I had waited a second longer I would have been killed. (Third casualty: DEN R.I.P.). His buddy was looking for me frantically in the wrong direction, I managed to place a well aimed shot center mass. (Fourth Casualty: Unknown R.I.P.) During our celebrations we forgot to remember that the AS50 is very, very, VERY loud and soon the entire zombie population was clamoring towards us. A few smoke grenades was all we needed to deter them though as James lagged out and was forced to disconnect. I ran a few meters north, went prone, and aborted to wait for my friend. Once we both got back in the zombies were gone, but a new threat very quickly reared it's head. James was shot by another sniper sitting on top of a nearby apartment building. I managed to see him and with a quickly placed shot killed him (Fifth casualty: Fah Q R.I.P.). James managed to survive as I was repeatedly shot at while darting towards the treeline. I couldn't find him and was forced deeper into the woods to fight another day. James and I decided to take a quick break and reflect on our very hectic visit to the Chernarus tourism capital. Sorry for those killed, a few of you were very well equipped and I'm sure had a beautiful track record. I'm sorry for the loss of those characters and I hope you can get your stuff back and start again. This whole experience was a million times more fun than Call of Duty or any other lame FPS will ever hope to be. I wait to tip my hat to the bastard that finally does me in. (EDIT: By the way, we kept all of those killed as is, we didn't steal any items or camp anyone's body. If unfortunately, you find your stuff ransacked it wasn't us and we're sorry. Good luck survivors!) (EDIT2: the server was US 1862.)

Last night I killed my first player...

My first kill was satisfying and emboldened a deep seated blood lust. My friend and I were looting the military tents near Starry Sobor when a very under-equipped survivor managed to shoot my buddy dead with a measly Lee Enfield. I managed to loot the whole place before I saw him through the window of the last tent I was going to loot. He was laying prone and so was I. My heart started beating like crazy when I watched him slowly crawl his way around the corner. He saw me, stopped, and we locked eyes for about 2-3 seconds before he tried to shoot me dead but missed and hit the ground instead, I unloaded half a clip of my ak74 Kobra into his face. The vengeance felt so sweet and my buddy was very glad I could avenge him and get his stuff back to him. He was one of the first survivors we ran into, ever since then I feel I have to shoot on sight or be killed. He never gave us a chance, never warned us. There was plenty of loot for all three of us and my friend and I were willing to trade or give items. We aren't so trusting anymore.
