all fair points, and valid to the goal of survival.. tho its still not gona make many allies. but hey, you have given me valid reasons. altho i do have a question, more to do with the controsl of the game. is there a holster button? some way to sling your rifle over your back so you are not immidatly armed? man gets nervous when a person approaches witha weapon drawn. if he hasent got his weapon drawn then... well... would you take a moment to think and perhaps let him pass? or would you rob him of anything you needed? another question, can you rob without killing? if so, why not do that?

world wont be around at all so long as the zombies are there. :P again, the point i am trying to proove. when the players are a bigger threat then the zombies, something aint quite right. and then you mention this clan of preset freinds. i came to this game hopeing to find other survivalists who realise the best way to survive is to make freinds, not more corpses. you say human instict, and yet we flock together when times of need are uppon us do we not? many times when everything has gone to shit, you can see how people band together as if they where there own blood. that is still instinct. both mein and your forms are valid forms of instict. i must ask, do you hunt other players? hunt them down for there gear, or only engage when being shot at?

a fair point, but two heads are better then one. if the zombies became a real threat where as lets say, you have a random chance of haveing a whole group of zombies chargeing at you from all sides and you just use a sniper for pvp... where are your allies to aid you in this time of need? where are the people who can cover your back? yes its survival of the fittest.. but when there is a much bigger fish in your little pond, you quickly learn sometimes the best course of action is the team up.

thanks for the warm welcome. :P and to the post above you the uh... bath salts. ile put em to good use i guess? XD and yes, exactly what i mean. makeing the game more intense for the survival aspect is what is needed, and to make the zombies the bigger threat then other players. that way players will want to band together to actuly try and survive. how so? you realise that there are a very large number of oppents just waiting for you to fire your gun. they are called zombies. and they often proove to be a bit of sport if your bored or just want to thin the horde down a little. :P hell, why include a MG in a game where as you put it, pvp is the entertaining aspect? i find haveing other cooperative players more fun. means you got more manpower to cover you when you decide its time to see how many zombies you can pop. again, another reason the zombies need to be made the bigger threat... and perhaps get a reward for killing many of them in a area.. perhaps something to happen other then a pvp sniper takeing possition on a nearby hill. XD

hello there ladies and gents. i heard about day z some time ago and only recently just picked it up, and overall... i am injoying the experince alot. the learning curve for this game is very steep, but once your over it its actualy quite fun. i look forward to playing this as it progressing from alpha, to beta, to bla bla bla. XD but now, i do have to say something. most of the posts i find on here (the forums) talking to the new people are.. less then polite to say the least. *go back to MW3* *if you suck dont play* yada yada yada. as well as more merciless hostile quotes from in game, such as saying *killing you would be to easy* and similar threats... now unfortunatly, this is the problem with day z. tell me, how many of you have taken a human life? do you think you would feel, joy from there death? would you feel, nothing from watching them slowly bleed out infront of you? would you feel nothing for a man crying out for help as a horde of animals chase behind him, and you are armed... you can save the person, or watch him get torn to bits.. and assist in the animals hunt. the point i am trying to make, as realistic as this game trys to be, it will NEVER, EVER resemble takeing a actual human life. after all, its just a game. but that leads to alot of problems, when actualy playing this game. lots of new players are getting ahold of weapons and just randomly killing who ever they see. they see it as takeing human life? noo its just a odd bit of fun. no harm done to anyone. all true. but this makes other players feel defenceless, angry that they can do nothing, when another player jumps round the corner and unloads a full ak on them. when they are new, trying to get a grips with the game. and this can be very stressfull. am i saying get rid of PVP? far from it. it makes the game intreasting. what i am saying is that you need to make the game have more of a group survival aspect. players will only band together if its necisary. and in this, you just need one partner and your set. you need to make the zombies more of a bigger threat... i am not sure how, but you need to make them something to respect and be weary of, rather then a obsticle in the path of your PVP Sniper. perhaps... randomly occouring aggravation spikes, where small hordes of zombies randomly spawn, even in the woods on groups of players, perhaps signaled by the gunfire of a firefight. there are many things wrong with day z, but there is so much it is doing right. so long as it keeps going up, i will look forward to keep playing. thank you who ever read's this, and please try to keep it civil guys? i know its the internet but use some of the old noggin. XD
