I agree with most of your points here, there was (at one point) people didn't just KoS. The bandits killed the overwhelming amount of people joining the server, shifting the center of pvp to the towns. These peoples mentality became "shoot everyone, don't trust anyone", and then some genius figured out that if you said "friendly" people would trust you long enough for you to shoot them in the back. Unless your with friends the game feels lonely. I want to have drag races at night with road flares, create colonies, and trading outposts. Not sneak around on my own, getting "epic lutz" and then camping the hills behind Cherno, killing people who don't even stand a chance. I'm alright without having an "endgame", I just want more goals then staying alive and shooting n00bs. When you acquire military loot your pretty invincible. Things like creating incentives for people to be friendly, being able to build bigger and more fortified bases are desperately needed. My two cents.
