Must have Hitlers buzzsaw if there are WW2 guns going in. Stahl helms would be freakin' sweet, I'd roll around in one of those instead of the military ones they have in game right now. On a side note, I think that these older weapons should be RARE as hell to find in pristine condition. Even the SKS should be in that rarity bracket.

I give Rocket credit, he made a great game out of just a mod and personally I think its great to see that he's going to be staying independent with his new game ideas. Very cool, hopefully there are some sweet games in the coming future.

I wish they had some islands so boat travel is more frequent. Probably not though. I will be disappointed with boats like I was with the mod once again :( On topic, I am kind of everywhere -- I don't really stick to the coast mainly because boat travel has been (or will be) abandoned. >:(

Um, no. No choppers, ty. Unrealistic. Was only in the mod because it was Arma.

What is kinda lame -- I think -- is that they took out that extra zoom feature that they had in the mod when zooming into either irons, red dots, holographics, etc. I wish they would put it into the SA.

Oh man the AS50 was just gay... I am glad that's staying out of the DayZ universe. But yes, the M14/DMR were powerful -- I always liked the FN FAL too, same caliber and excellent iron sights. The only type of M4 I carried with my toon on the mod was the silenced version -- mainly because they made the sounds aggro zombie mobs from like 10000m away, even pistols were quite ridiculous... Once again, I can't wait to rejoice in glory with my M14. :lol:

Not to mention how powerful the M14 was. God I miss that gun.

The discussion of many debaters is the general fact that how would you know how to properly fix one? Let alone pilot one? Let alone have power to fix it? Like ffs. It was in ARMA and was in the mod. As far as realism, it has no place.

That makes no sense. With a fully fueled heli you can find camps and guess what -- insta-geared!!!! It really is such a big advantage that isn't needed.

What a terrible comment -- just shows that you're one of those losers that cream for the idea of choppers in DayZ alpha. What makes more sense in an apocolypse? Guy driving truck or guy flying chopper? In your pathetic comment you fail to address the irrelevance of choppers in a scavenging scenario: to carry heli-rotors in your backpack and fix a fully-operational helicopter makes no sense. I mean the time aside the facts of having access to proper greases/lubes and aircraft fuel, why would you waste precious fuel to purposely strafe people in cherno? Invalid argument. I see no redemption in keeping flying tanks in DayZ. Go take YOUR crying somewhere else when they're out of DayZ, bud.

I have around 230 hours combined right now -- and I've been inactive for about two weeks (mainly just bored of DayZ) -- and I've murdered 1 person. I play the same way as Rhodes, I only use my weap's in self defense only killing dickhead PvP'ers that want to start shit. I personally like playing this way because this is how I've met some great people while playing. A person always has to be analytical when coming in contact with someone, but going out intentionally dumping on people just isn't my way of 'having fun'. I have played the "PvP Bandit" before and comparing it to how I actually play most of the time is uncomparable.

IMO it would be cool if they took 3rd out eventually, then implemented something similar like Fallout where you can rotate around your toon 3rd person and that's it.

Honestly... I hope eventually they enforce 1st person for one patch. I do like 3rd really for the 'looks' of my own character when I get some cool gear, but other then that it's a cheap game mode that should be slowly phased out of DayZ. You can see through walls in 3rd, making PvP less immersive and gives everyone who exploits it a cheap advantage. HC is way more fun/intense when you encounter players because NO 360 degree PARASCOPING your way out of everything. I can't begin to list how many times I've used it to own the fuck out of people back in the mod -- all ghillied up like a retard pwning fuck heads with my M14... Now that I reflect I would really support Rocket if he begins to phase 3rd out later towards Beta. I wish I had my desktop with all my screenshots on FRAPS, I have tons of shots of parascoping through walls -- showing how unfair and cheap it is to play 3rd.
