I would like to see a class and perks system implemented, focused around groups play. Not sure how this would be implemented with in ARMA2's game controls but something along the line of 2 people meet up and agree to join forces. As long as they are with in X distance of each other they get Y perks. Class - Perk - Reason it is "realistic" Sniper - Camouflage - One person provides cover as other moves, so you will get an innate - being hear/seen Infantry + dmg critical - Your knowledge of weapons helps your team do better Medic + health - your knowledge of medical expertise helps your team Special Forces - not sure on perk but maybe a lil bit of everything but only like 20% of what the other classes get. This would be your jack of all, master of none class. Engineering (Construction) - More likely to find rare loot/more loot - Heck engineers can Macgyver anything out of anything :P You would choose your class at start, and that is what you would spawn, you can also make it so that if your using your giving classes special weapon (cz550 for sniper, assault rifle for infantry etc etc) you get an innate bonus for yourself. This would encourage more team work and not just shooting some one because they turned a corner near you. survivor groups would be more likely, and bandits groups would have to weigh if it is better to go solo or group up and risk being stabbed in the back :P

I would love to see some server countdown like 30 secs, you can DC if you want but your char stays in the world... hate it when i see some one chased by zombies or about to die to a bandit dc and go straight to a new server, or wait 5 minutes and come right back... -

no but if you find one your more likely to know what to do with it, on the same token if things go to sh*t and i am a trained Doctor i will better know how to fix you, or if i am a trained snipe be better able to hide etc.... I am not asking for classes with special weapons only, or with special skills, just general perks for saying your are slightly better in one way then another, and if balance is an issue you can even make it so that there are negatives, maybe an sniper moves slower and can't run, or a medic can only hold 6 mags of pistol ammo as it needs more bag space for bandages... Lots of ways you can keep it realistic, not like a MMO/BF3 game and still add "Classes" -

Zombies running to fast!

I think there needs to be more zombies over all, they need to be a bit slower, but more aware. As it is now a careful crawl can go right by them with in 5 ft it seems and not aggro. I also think that gun fire should bring in more Z's. I fire a gun at random at the airfield, there are 5 z's (use to be 20 pre 1.5.8) and only two look at me and one actually runs towards me... I would make it so Z's run slower by maybe 50% but they dont give up. You might out run them for 5 minutes but with in 8-10 minutes you got all those Z's + the other z's they picked up all rushing you at once. This would make a bandit think twice about firing a round anywhere... as it is now a bandit shoots the enfield, kills the 2-3 z's that come at him, crawls to the dead survivor, loots and moves on... -

Zeus, when you log into the the servers are you playing the char the last guy was just in or a new guy and the other gets boot? If it is the same guy it is an days authentication with the central server issue (IMO) if you re different players it is BE blocking you all. -

The problem that sucks is when you spawn way down SW and he spawns way up NE!! -
Would be better to point out names of NwO members that are shooting on sight, or luring you to there "base" also not that anyone can put NwO in there name doesn't mean they represent us...

I for one just joined NwO and do not shoot survivors, i will however shoot any bandit i see and anyone that fires on me.

MERGED: Night time, darkness, gamma

I grew up in the country, population was about 5k if to many old people didn't die that month.... Me and my brothers (5 of us total) would play outside at night all the time, this is in the PNW, overcast, and no light pollution and you could still see enough to run around, under trees and in buildings would be pitch black but outside you would still see each other from about 8 feet out. IMO the games needs a bit more light at night but not much, just enough to make out a door from 5 feet. -
I agree the nights are a bit to dark, and you can still turn gamma way up and see outlines of buildings and trees, and not see anything inside, a lil unrealistic but i can live with it.
