gday Sna.ke, thanks for the response mate, very much appreciated. i guess its worth a try, you wouldnt happen to know any way of making this auto logged in the console.log would you? the same place as players, guids, ip's, connects, disconnects are shown? -

for all you guys out there worried about abusive admins, open your narrow minds and think, an admin pays good money to run a server, he likes it when it becomes popular, when you get a cock of an admin and starts abusing his powers, players will simply find another server to game in, in the end he is paying 100 dollars a month for an empty server, so his action will take care of the cock admin, self destruction. hence why abusive admins is never the problem, if you actually had any experience in running a game server you would know this. and to the other cock that keeps saying dayz staff cant do anything about the hackers, no shit mate, we know there isnt any anti-cheat system that works, but he question was..........................turn back on player a was killed by player b so we can check out logs ourselves and see the hacker that has just teleported 50 people to one spot and gunned them down..........................you very rarely see anyone in dayz, so if you get someone that is consistently killing people one after the other then this is what proof is, this is where experience comes in. this is what common f#$%kn sense is. this is how administrating servers work. 11 years experience, i know! -

And this is where we go wrong, toooo much bla bla bla and not enough action. the simple fact of the matter is that if "Player A was killed by PLayer B" is turned on (standard game engine function already) has been for 11 years the hacker would be easily identifiable and banned and problem sorted, simple as that. If you have an immature 12 year old admin who would ban you just for killing him on his own server then he would have no players left on his server and it would be to his detriment and people would go to other servers anyway, so he would be paying 100 bucks a month for an empty server, so this part isnt even a factor. enough discussion, just turn it the f!@#$k back on! Battleye has had months to sort this out. anti-cheat engines are never reliable, only strict admins are the only way to maintain a peacefull server. i know this because i own many. cheers. -

hit lists are what your concerned about? are you for real? good luck trying to find someone in over a thousand servers and then running around a 200km square island to find people on a hit list. your response is actually something a hacker would say, wake up to yourself. -

To the DayZ developers turn the f!@#k back on "Player A was killed by Player B" this is essential for catching hackers and its already a standard feature in the ArmA engine having this turned off is the most obvious, stupid thing ever done. it does not ruin so called "immersion" it just helps hackers stay anonymous! -
gday guys having trouble turning on deathMessages = 1 so i can see the hackers name when they mass kill us. I've added the single line to the server.cfg but it doesnt work. I've added it as part of the entire difficulty settings for server.cfg as well. but we are still not getting "player A was killed by player B", only seeing "player A was killed" as it has always been. Am i missing something? Thakyou in advance.
