  1. I love you, and my axe loves you. I may have gotten killed, but I am pretty sure I got you. You should be embarrassed.
  2. He was sniping with a revolver. It's the best way to describe it.

Sure ;) meet me at Chernogorsk fire station.
  4. Hi, I'm going to keep a list here of what I'm currently selling. I would rather not get posts about how this is a silly idea or any of that, just offers. I am willing to deliver to any server. I am willing to meet just about anywhere in the Cherno or Elektro area. If you swindle/kill me I will not deal with you again. Here's what I accept as currency and their exchange rates: 1 unit = 1 STANAG or AKM or AK magazine = 5 bandages = 1 blood bag = 3 steaks I'm also willing to accept barter, but you'll have to work that out personally with me. A list of wares I'm currently offering and their prices: MP5A + 1 magazine - 6 units M1014 + 1 set of shells - 6 units G17 + 4 magazines = 4 units Makarov + 2 magazine - 2 units Watch - 3 bandages or equivalent

Bandages are found pretty easily, usually to the point where I can't keep all the ones I find. You can also load up on bandages in like the 20 amount from 1 hospital raid.

Lol I'm not that non-humorous it's just I don't want the thread flooded purely with humor :(

Serious responses only please. I'll probably be selling more high-end stuff later, but I really want medical supplies mostly.

I do accept food and such, but you'd have to PM me and work it out. I only presented those standardized things because they have a pretty much universal value. Someone ALWAYS need one of those things.
  12. No side chat makes the world feel empty. We need radios.
  13. So I'm a hobbyist programmer and I had an idea today: A Day Z database of players that worked a little like e-bay reviews. Say I make an agreement to trade with someone on a forum, or even in-game and I want to make sure they're trustworthy. We'd go on the database and schedule a trade. We would then be able to leave comments about each other. This would allow you to gauge another survivor's general attitude. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in this and if there are any web designers who could lend me a hand I'd love it.

TheGoldElite, when speaking to people on forums etc. There will probably eventually be radios too.

    DayZ Database

CREDIBLE it's player driven so it's really nothing outside what you could do yourself...
  16. In this thread I'll try to keep track of and set a standard for courtesy and vocabulary in the world of DayZ. Please suggest additions/changes. The "Friendly?" Exchance: This is the most basic thing to do before approaching or even aiming at another player. Ask in chat if they are friendly. They will usually respond in the positive, or not at all. If you asked and they respond "yes" it is implied that YOU are also friendly. Do not shoot someone after you have asked and they have confirmed, that's a dick move. This should really be done in a cautious manner, and if time critical you should probably forgoe this and start shooting. If you stumble upon another player in the airfield looting the same building you are... there's not much time to talk. Common DayZ Courtesy: Make your intentions clear, or do not state them at all. Greet other players in a courteous manner, without being hostile, and ask their intentions ins a simple manner: suggested ", friendly?" as has already mostly been established. The other player is expected to respond, in responding please follow guideline one. If you intend to hurt the player don't say otherwise, say nothing or say "I am going to hurt you." etc. Do not kill players who you've asked the position of, and they're response is friendly. Friendly is implicit for you since you asked. Do not approach other players without asking their position and/or making yours known. Do not take other's things. Do not loot areas others have cleared. Avoid others whenever possible. If it is within your means, respond to calls for help. DONT USE YOUR MICROPHONE ON GLOBAL CHAT. Vocabulary: Zombie/Zed/Z/Walker/Shuffler/Walking dead = A reanimated zombie. Strong Zombie/Milizombie/Military Zombie = A military zombie, which has double health. (approx.) Crawler = One of the above which has had it's legs disabled. Survivor/Player = You, and I :). Airfield/Airbase/Military Base = All great spots to find loot. Cherno = Chernogrosk, a death trap 90% of the time. Elektro/Electro/Elec(k) = Elektrogorsk, often worse of a deathtrap than Cherno. Spawn/The Coast = Low risk/low reward loot areas. Often has tons of player killing, home to most newer players/characters. The North = The wilderness away from the coast. Much calmer here, and has more experienced players with highger rish/reward loot.
  17. Alright, so I got this idea the other night while at the airfield near the South coast. I was looking around, and it's unlike any other area of the game, really. There's a massive medical facility which I'm pretty sure isn't there in Vanilla, in many of the hangars there are TONS of body bags, more than I've seen anywhere else. The other two airfields are not like this, it does not seem like there was much if any organized resistance, there are just some dead soldiers. I think what happened in a general sense: Apocalypse starts in Chernarus, I don't know how or why, but it did. The first infections must have been inland because the carnage and wreckage inland are much less than the coasts, which I assumes means things happened before any resistance could be mustered. The military organizes, and sets up camp in Stary Sobor and it's surrouding area, as can be seen by the military tents. This obviously was overtaken quickly, and no explosives/etc. were used in the fight because this field hospital thing is still intact. The military moves to Balona, I assume. There's a MUCH more fortified field hospital there, and the tons of body bags leave me to believe that the military finally figured out exactly what was happening, but as we can tell it was too late. I'm pretty sure that's the general series of events that lead to the game world as it stands, if anyone else has any more info/knowledge please contribute. I'm not sure if the devs actually planned any of this out, or if they just made cool looking areas.
  18. Well that's all well and good except the amount of destruction doesn't math between the two. And after Eagle Wing you don't see any organized military whatsoever, it's chaos. The aftermath of DayZ looks a bit different.

    Down here too.
  20. Not rules, I'm just documenting how people tend to act now.
