How To Stop The Coast Spawn Issue!!!

Or people can try using DayZ Commander's one button click and if that doesn't work go ahead and google it? Why would anyone immediately go to the more complex option when there's an easier one available? Not really sure what the point you're trying to make is here. Congrats you can google where yo copy and paste files? Derail your own topic because someone posted pertinent and useful information, just to what stroke your epenis or show up someone else? Good for you bro.

How To Stop The Coast Spawn Issue!!!

A pain in the ass for those of us who are software challenged. Files and shit bro, I do not understand them.
  3. DEOVONTAY MCSLANGA

We all know it. But it is out of hand now.

Stick to low population servers. Hackers almost never frequent them because they like to fuck with people en masse instead of tracking down the 5 or 6 people putting around on a near empty server. Your chances of finding a vehicle are also dramatically higher, and you actually get to know the people who play on the server with you. I know just about all the regulars on US1081, who's friendly and who isn't, etc. It's actually much more enjoyable than being on a high population server, even if there are much fewer people to shoot at.

Ghillie still bugged or something else?

You really just have to wait a bit for the hive to update. Depending on the server this can range from 5 seconds (good server) to 15 minutes (complete shit server) to a few hours (sticks and mud server). Count on the 15 minutes because 90% of the servers on this game are complete garbage. Typically you don't have to wait 2 hours because a server THAT broken won't let you log in to begin with (this is where the "mysterious" long loading screens that everyone complains about come from as well). That said sometimes shit disappears anyway, with no real cause. Make regular sacrifices to the Boar Gods and bad things won't happen to you.

How To Stop The Coast Spawn Issue!!!

For me and all of my friends Six Launcher wasn't updating this patch correctly. Use DayZ Commander (it's better in every way anyway). Click on the top of the launcher where it says "Versions" and click on update DayZ. If it's taking a really long time you can manually download the file and install it yourself too, although that's a pain in the ass.

How To Stop The Coast Spawn Issue!!!

I've experienced the bug when switching servers and when staying on a single server. There doesn't appear to be a singular trigger event for it, although it's more common to have happen in between logs. For example, if you switch servers or just log out to eat some food and log back in on the same server. In rare cases I've had it happen to me in the middle of playing. Typically I'll red chain, blackout for a bit, then wake up on the shore. It's probably just a syncing issue with the hive and there's nothing you can do to really fix it.

How To Stop The Coast Spawn Issue!!!

I don't doubt that you were experiencing the bug as a result of playing on an outdated server. This can cause a whole bunch of other problems and you should NEVER EVER do it in this game. As for solving the problem, it still occurs somewhat regularly if you stick to 2.5 servers so you're likely just experiencing causation vs. correlation. Aka, you changed something and just happened to not get the bug, which does not necessitate that the thing you changed actually fixed the bug.

How To Stop The Coast Spawn Issue!!!

This. Sometimes server restarts trigger the respawning at the coast thing; sometimes it's simply logging out and back in. Although I'm sure switching between versions will also cause problems, and you should probably avoid playing on outdated servers. It's just a trap. In fact, my character experiences a really fun version of the bug where sometimes when I log in I die. Like shows up in the kill feed and everything, just up and die. I've been combating this by instantly logging out and back in again so the hive doesn't update that I actually died. Judge all you fucking want, I've had friends confirm that I wasn't logging in in front of someone and getting shot or anything. Middle of the woods, surrounded by buddies, and I just log in dead. You can bet your ass I'm gonna dodge that shit.

    Dog Pack

Look at how buggy everything else is in this game and ask yourself how bad the dogs are going to be. I can just imagine the dog disappearing 90% of the time, and only coming back when you're inside a building and by sprinting straight through the wall. Oh and I wouldn't be surprised if dogs have artifact glitches attached to them as well, just as an extra slap in the nuts. Perhaps when this game launches as a standalone, and hopefully with it's own engine that isn't garbage, this would be a cool idea. In the current state of the game I doubt this will cause anything but problems.

    Can zombies destroy cars?

Good to see no one has responded accurately to this yet. Most cars zombies will not attack. They will not attack it if the engine is off. They will not attack it if the engine is on. This includes ALL closed-top vehicles, such as the UAZ, Ural, Bus, Hatachback, Blue Van, etc. If it is a CAR WITH A CLOSED TOP THE ZOMBIES WILL NOT ATTACK IT. EVER. I have confirmed this numerous times. Zombies however WILL attack most open top vehicles, such as the motorcycle, bicycle, and ATV. As of 1.7.2.5 ALL closed top vehicles DO NOT spawn zombies when you approach a building, even if you completely stop and wait for a while. This makes it easy to tell if someone is in town, as zombies will only spawn in if they are on foot. In 1.7.2.3 zombies would spawn in if you were riding an open-top vehicles, such as the ATV. Last I checked, this has been corrected and even bicycles no longer spawn in zombies when you approach a building riding them. This could also indicate that zombies no longer attack you when riding these vehicles either, but it has yet to be confirmed.
  11. This is pretty much our whole "clan" (there's 4 of us). We stick to low pop servers and avoid people, but we pack a lot of very large guns if people mess with us. We worship the Boar Gods to keep our pretty things safe, but when bad things happen to them any way we wander into town on a high population server and lure a few kids up to Mount Olympia (home of the Gods and shitty shotguns). Then we break their legs and slowly bleed them out, only to give them a few transfusions and do it again. It's a mean thing to do, but the Boar Gods demand sacrifice and who are we mortals to deny them?
  12. Tractors aren't too bad, they can reach speeds of 50-60 km/h offroad and over 100 on paved roads. The open driver's compartment does make you a sitting duck though and they're extremely noisy. I'd still take one any day over not having a vehicle, makes it that much easier to find other people's cars (and preferably more subtle cars). Also, buses are usually a trap. They're fairly useless unless you have 5+ friends you want to play with and you don't have an ural, especially considering they can only viably drive on paved roads. When me and my friends find a bus we drive it to the middle of Elektro and set up to snipe anyone who climbs in it... so your choice to avoid that one was probably for the better :)
  13. Title says it all, still getting the massive artifacts that originate on dead soldier bodies. I thought the patch was supposed to fix these, anyone else still having problems? I also read a couple of different other work-arounds for removing them, anyone care to elaborate here?

Graphic Errors Still Persisting on 1.7.2.5

Has this triggered any false scripting alarms on Battle Eye? I get false script kicks frequently WITHOUT manually editing any file settings, I'd hate to risk a permaban over just dealing with this garbage until it's fixed.
  15. Grow up. Many servers legitimately have their vehicles essentially removed for weeks at a time because hackers teleported them into the ocean. Also, even though clans earn the right to have all the vehicles if they find them all most do not do so legitimately. You hear a lot of stories about amins locking down servers right after a new patch or restart so they can hoard every vehicle on the map. This is just plain shitty.
  16. Try a consistently lower population server. Hackers don't frequent them as often, as they want to fuck with as many people at once as possible. They're also less likely to have large clans bogarting all the vehicles too. Our current server peaks at about 10 players, today alone we found an off-road pick-up truck, three bicycles, an ATV, and a bright red motorcycle (the only one we actually stole from someone's camp). Obviously it's a lot easier to find more vehicles once you have one of your own, as you can check the spawns much faster and hunt other player's camps more efficiently. Sadly we lost all of those vehicles to a sudden server restart. Although we saved all of them, they disappeared along with our six tents. Not sure if they're ever going to come back. Kind of sad. Also, there are only a few times when vehicles actually appear at their spawns: 1. Someone parked it outside the boundaries of the map and waited more than 24 hours. 2. The vehicle explodes AND someone saves it as a toasted wreck. 3. The vehicle isn't touched for more than 7 days or so. So theoretically if all the vehicles on the server are already taken, you will never ever find them actually at the spawn. Also, most of the spawns for vehicles are still undocumented on most maps so you'll commonly find them where the map doesn't show a spawn. Your best bet if you really want to play on a high population server is to try to find other player's camps. Places to check would be: 1. Anywhere on the northern and western borders of the map. I will warn you, this is boring as shit. Literally all you do is walk through what feels like vast and pointless forest hoping to spot a tent or a car. It really sucks, but the payoff is spectacular when you find a camp with a UAZ and a couple tents filled with goodies. 2. Parts of the map that are not between major loot areas. There's a few small towns that no one ever visits because there's no reason to go there. This is where really crafty players build camps. People know to check the borders for camps, but they rarely bother looking inside a low value log cabin in Shakhovka. 3. Specifically if you want boats, check Krutoy Cap. Most clans will hide PBXs among the rocks for easy loot transportation to Skalitsy island (assuming they don't have the helicopter. Even if they do this is the only useful place to actually have a boat). 4. Anywhere you look on the map and think "Damn why would anyone ever go there?"

Dear Cunt Face Carl - US958

And no, that's not just a pet name. That is literally this mans in-game moniker. So me and a friend are roaming the coast line after seeing a military Ural drive back and forth a few times. We last saw him in Elektro headed west, so we set off for Chero, possibly hoping to catch him looting or something. As we approach Cherno from the east, we skirt the northern side of town staying in the trees. I'm armed with an AS50 as always, and my friend is using an AKS-74u (he refuses to drop the piece of shit for something helpful) so I have him mostly just spotting for me with a rangefinder. Nothing real exciting is going on at first, then... "Bro, two ghillie dicks in the construction building. One's real laggy. 750 meters." So we start stalking them. Both are running up and down the stairs, grabbing loot and throwing it into piles, obviously trying to farm something. I can only assume it was tank traps and wire fences considering the building is industrial type. Getting a good read on them was hard considering the amount of cover the building offers. Piecing together what I could see of them, one had an AS50 and the other had an L85 or some type of assault rifle. So, we have two guys in ghillie suits farming a building for items that are virtually only used to grief people. These are quality people. Honestly, Cunt Face Carl, you fucking earned that name. After watching them sprinting back and forth for about 10 minutes, one of them finally went up to the roof to scout. As soon as he stopped moving, Cunt Face Carl lost his cunt face. His friend proceeded to run into the stairwell and log out without even trying to find his friend's killer or salvage any of his gear. I could practically hear this kid wetting his pants. Cunt Face Carl, now with nothing to lose, repeatedly spawned and died on the shore. Probably just running into zombies and letting them break his legs so he could try to get closer to Cherno. I watched him die at least six times, then heard several massive explosions across Cherno. Suspecting a hacker, or some kid with way too much time on his hands for farming satchel charges, me and my friend decided to call it a night. tl;dr Rest easy newbies of US958. Cunt Face Carl shall pester you no more. Edit: Rest EASY newbies. Don't rest EAST, that would be stupid.

Dear Cunt Face Carl - US958

Didn't want to risk his friend still being logged in on the stairwell just camping and waiting for us. And the explosions scared the shit out of me. At least 10-15 of them within a minute. I wasn't going to stick around in case it was a hacker playing Battleship with us.

    Death by Dehydration

I would recommend always carrying a few water bottles. Most people will make fun of me for this and say "durr soda is so common though durr", but look at it this way. Soda is common, but it isn't a GUARANTEE to drop. I've found when I need it most, there is no soda to be found. Carrying a water bottle or two (five in the case of my "special" friend who is deathly afraid after dying to this once) ensures that you know EXACTLY where you can get more water. Use the map at DayZ database to determine which houses are lootable and which are not, as well as which have better drop rates. Higher value houses have more loot nodes, which means a higher chance of getting food or water. When all else fails, if you have no bottles and you're nowhere near a good lootable building, you can use what we call the Zombie Delivery Service. Say a quick prayer to the Boar Gods and start killing all the zombies you see. Chances are they will deliver what you ordered, although it can take a bit.

    What is Humanity?

I have -99k humanity. I can still wear a ghillie. And no I don't just kill unarmed kids on the shore. "Murders" from before this patch carried over apparently. Almost 100% of my kills were on people who shot first, or had a big enough gun for me to justify taking them out. The others were unarmed noobs who didn't respond to "friendly?" and tried to open my backpack and take a gun out.

    An Actually Fun Hacker Story

So the other day our camp was raided by some turds. They stole all our weapons, which we could give two shits less about because we were already holding the ones we actually like. Things weren't looking too bad... until we discovered they had stolen our bikes. Three bikes. Now that's just low man. High on bloodlust we decided to go down to the coast and snipe anything that moved. Yep, we like to take out our hate on newspawns and people who drive cars along the coast. Bite me. Me and one friend were wielding AS50s, the other friend had an L85. We're chillin' for a while, see a couple of kids with no guns but let them run along because we're not COMPLETE barbarians. We're sitting in a little clump under the same tree, when we hear a flare land behind us. Needless to say, this scared the crap out of us so we just booked it for the woods. We ran for about 5 minutes and settled down, spread out about 20 meters each. I'm feeling relieved that we didn't get sniped or anything, when AS50-friend comes on over skype, "guys I still hear footsteps, like not mine". We're scouring the forest, not seeing a thing, when another flare lands by our feet. And then we knew. It was an invisible hackerman. Now, our group has this thing where if we lose track of each other upon finding the group we call out "safety dance!" and we all start bobbing back and forth to confirm it's actually us. It can be hard to tell the difference between three dudes in ghillies, so this serves us very well. Well, it turns out L85-friend could totally see the hacker on thermal, but didn't want to shoot one of us on accident... So I shout "DO THE MOTHER FUCKING SAFETY DANCE" over voip, just to let the hacker know his games were not appreciated here. We all start dancing, and L85-friend just blows the hacker away. Justice has been served.

    An Actually Fun Hacker Story

You have my beans for the obscene amount of time you have obviously put into being a douchebag to make other people in the internet look like douchebags. No seriously, that last post took you almost five times as long as the others. Trying reaalllll hard to squeeze out a couple more drops of "you're-stupid-and-I'm-the-best-at-internet" are we? And this is why I'm going back to the new player forums. It's the same topics as these, but people realize that this isn't an arena for epeen slapfests. It's a place to share stories, ask questions, and socialize. Forums are watercoolers, not gladiatorial contests. The sooner you realize that, the better bro. You honestly have some problems.
  23. DEOVONTAY MCSLANGA

    An Actually Fun Hacker Story

Some hackers actually don't just bust out all the crazy hacks right off the bat. Some literally just like to fuck with people. Example: I'm sure he was just trying to do something similar. Although I do recall a glitch that got patched 20-something updates ago that caused people to spawn in invisible. It could be back, who knows. I'm not going to give an invisible dude the benefit of the doubt though...
  24. DEOVONTAY MCSLANGA

    An Actually Fun Hacker Story

Hypocrisy suits you so nicely. The story didn't change, we logged in. Immediately a child talks to us. We shoot him twice. It's pretty easy to tell when someone doesn't die after you shoot them twice with an AS50. It took maybe a full second? Go ahead and take an AS50 and shoot your friend and tell me how long it takes you to process whether or not he died. And it's not a strawman argument so much as a legitimate question, followed by an accurate assessment of the only reason you would make such a post. Either you truly think that it's not okay to alt-f4 in the face of a hacker and that everyone should just take those unfair deaths, or you just want to belittle someone on the internet to make yourself feel better. The former is incredibly unlikely unless you really are some deluded type-A personality who takes DayZ far too seriously, so I banked the latter. Hence the accurate assessment of your intentions.

    An Actually Fun Hacker Story

They nerfed it so that lower body shots do about 11k and almost always knock you out. Past 500m it drops to like 10k. Doesn't seem like a big difference, but it can be enough to save your life sometimes.
