Meh i doubt it if you will remember it only took about 2-3weeks after the mod became popular for the hackers/dupers to run riot and before you knew it everyone had an l85 and a 50 cal sniper a hive wipe will change that but it wont last any longer than 2 weeks max. Tents need to be fixed first imo for this to have any lasting effect. And i doubt rocket will go as far as disabling tents after the work they have put into them.

I dont see how this will effect the hackers (who will just spawn more hacked gear) or tent dupers, this needs to be done after the tents are fixed doing it before is pointless.

So ive stumbled upon a high end camp and found a s*** load of gear including a satchel charge and as far as im aware these things are pretty rare but what should i do with it? i thought about blowing up the camp i found but that would just be harsh after i robbed most of there gear. Another thought i had was to set it up in cherno square and throw flares to attract a crap load of zombies and then detonate it. Any other ideas? -

Well the SVD is the rarest sniperifle on the game and its next to impossible to find ammo for but it does look pretty badass with the gun camo and it has a built in range finder, the DMR on the other hand is easy to find ammo for and the gun itself is quite common to find as far as sniper rifles go also you can use it with NVG's at night.

People that hoard random items in piles/tents in stary?

Anyone else seen people do this? i joined a swedish server yesterday and there was 4 giant piles of random guns/loot just sitting outside the tents at stary do you think it was hacked or just someone leaving the loot for another surviver that he didnt need? -

Same thing here ive met about 5 different players in cherno and electro just by randomly calling out friendly and grouping up with them. -

^ What he said the m14 is too loud in towns and just attracts zombies + players, i say keep the dmr for distance and look out for an m4/ak74 for looting towns.

I would rather they just fix tents (duping and item loss) and make them a bit more blendable with the enviroment. -
I was looting cherno hospital with a few guys i met in electro moments earlier when i see a hero skin run around the flats near our position i run out and call "Friendly" to him only to have him turn around and instantly mini gun down our whole squad in a matter of seconds. Just a word of warning hackers can use the hero skin too.

Yes i would say its worth it and as far as hackers go stay on low pop servers and you will never see any. -
This could never be realistic for a start medieval russia never even had knights or used plate armour like the english or french did.

While i understand this mod is in alpha you would think with the $30million BI have already made out of people buying arma2 for dayZ alone they would have a full team working on bug fixes to bring this mod up to a good standard untill the standalone comes out. -
Im playing this mod to enjoy it and i will be honest i couldnt care less about playtesting.
