Where: US 1346 hosted by Wafflehouse When: Shortly before 5pm EST, August 31st, 2012 What happened: While scouting Dobrry for snipers/tents/sniping spots, moonlit_endevor was killed. I moved to avenge his death. I spotted amigo in a ghille suit and opened up on him with my L85 (zeroing 100). Not only did he live through a full clip, he came over and looked at me before shooting at me. Link to video evidence below: I hope this hacker get's banned.

I'm sure its a fine server, there are plenty of those in DayZ, a contributing factor to why this game is so popular. But as you know a hacker can drop into any server any time.

Required: * Server this happened on. - US 485 hosted by banzore.com * Time that it happened including your timezone. - Between 2:00pm and 4:00pm EST, Aug 24th, 2012 * What happened during the incidents: There were several incidents, a few of which I have evidence for. I joined US 485 and spawned in at NWAF to attempt some sniping. Shortly thereafter, a mass death occurred on the server. (Screenshot below) I was not struck by any bullets, so I'm confident that I was script killed (BTW, I was end-game, so I was pissed, but that is besides the point). I respawned by Otmel and made my way north to try and recover my gear. I didn't make it very far before the server reset. Damn shame, but I decided to keep playing and try and build up. I made my way to Stary Sobor and looted it. On my way out I began to get shot at. I spotted a man in a ghille suit named "Moderation". I told him I didn't care if he killed me because I was sick and low on blood. He shot me and that was that. I respawned at Kamenka. Moments later I saw "Moderation was killed" on the feed. Cool, karma is a bitch. Well, shortly thereafter on my way north, I hear a helicopter. It approaches and sure enough, Moderation was in it. (Video footage below) The helicopter had a bizarre smoke trail coming from it. I thought that the chopper was damaged, but later I found was actually coming out of Moderation himself. Moderation blows me away with the machine gun. I respawned outside of Kamyshovo. Moments later, Moderation and his heli arrive. I tried to hide in the lighthouse, but then I figured it's pointless and ran out to die. I wish I would have been recording, because it took this fool near 80 rounds to finally put me down as I danced back and forth on the shore. (I guess this is why people cheat/hack... they suck at the game otherwise). I repsawned in Solnichniy. I loot and start heading north. Outside of Orlovets, suddenly I hear this guy say "friendly, don't shoot". I turn and "Leeroy Jenkins" is behind me with an M14. I tell him I'm cool and we start moving out. Suddenly this bandit comes out of the woods and has a massive smoke trail behind him. Hey, I've seen that before (helicopter). Sure enough its Moderation. For some reason he gives me his Mk48 which he has 6 mags for. I wasn't going to say no. I also wasn't going to try and shoot him because it would have been pointless. I try to work with them but we eventually got split up. I arrived outside of Berezino and start getting texture artifacts (hooray 1.7.2.5!!). I log out and log back in to try and fix them. As soon as I spawn back in, I'm greeted with AS50 shots. I turned and there was Moderation, crouching facing away from me and shooting zombies. I said hey and kept moving. He dies shortly thereafter. I made it to the hospital and break the glass. As I'm looting, another mass death occurred. I exit the game. See my evidence below. I agree with reeceismoist. Without tents the looting aspect of the game dies once you've been through a couple heli-crash spawns. After you achieve end-game gear for yourself: you have two options - go be a bandit or build a camp (or both). If tents eat your items every server restart or whenever they feel like it, continued looting becomes mundane and frustrating, as all of your "hard-work" vanishes over-night. Tents aren't essential for the game to function, but a massive amount gameplay longevity is lost without them.
