    Bandits should have more consequences

    Do not nerf bandits. Buff survivors. (Not the hero skin, that was a bad idea to begin with. Giving some sort of reason to not go on a murder spree for gear.)

    Spawning with friends

    I believe one of the interesting things when you first begin playing with friends is the confusion of meeting up, it tries to simulate the panic and confusion you would feel in the beginning of the zombacolypse when trying to find your friends and family. Now of course, this novelty will wear away after the first few deaths, for sure. I vote no, honestly.

    Should Green Mountain be Haunted?

    It should be haunted, but nothing overtly beyond the bounds of reality. (Ghosts, demons.) I`m all for creepyass ambience, radio transmissions, and wierd happenings.

    Non-Shitty class idea for the Standalone

    I dislike this for multiple reasons. You don`t know what you are going to be carrying when you get attacked by zombies. Asthetic player customization (Such as lootable skins.) are things I believe Rocket is already working towards. Something so hard set as a class based system seems too game(y?)(ish?), and not befitting a system so open, in my opinion. Please, no starting with weapons.

    Mood system, Constructions.

    I play this game to be entertained. I don`t play this game so my character can be entertained. (Semi B))Permanent bases and outposts have been confirmed, at least for the SA (Such as bunkers). Though not sure exactly how far Rocket plans to go in that direction. Some good ideas, some bad.

    Directional Threat indicators. ?

    Blood splatter/if you are bleeding, blood will stream profusely from the side of the screen that you were shot in the body, and will continue to drip until you get bandaged. (Possibly replace bleeding UI we have now?) Whole screen angle gets jerked momentarily. Sounds of yelling/cursing. Blood curdling death cry upon death. (Hearing this in any city would make me tense up instantly.) I don`t know about you, but getting shot sounds a lot more startling. If you are legitly deaf, you should have some mechanic to make up for it, IMO. Fair playing field. :)

    Making DayZ harder (less bandits?)

    Harder is a word that has a decent amount of ambivalence attatched to it. I`d endorse complexity, more depth, more things to do, but not just making the game "harder".
  10. I`d honestly love to see some sort of armor system implemented, along with the looted clothing options I`ve heard talk of. Different armors would have different armored parts and bonuses, (Such as Ghillie, Camo, ect.) Nothing crazy in depth, just more customization towards what you wear asthetically and functionally.
  11. I totally thought this was a thread to make DayZ a class based game. Anyway, the archetypes blend too much together to be able to label people.

    I`d honestly leave ominous demonic notes scattered around the countryside. That, and I`d pick some limericks off of the DayZ Limericks thread by Max Plancks if I get author`s permission.

    DayZ Standalone Game - Questions

    They are not the same. DayZ standalone is here: http://dayzgame.com/ The War Z is another game company trying to reap off of DayZ`s success, and is not worth buying. Basically the carebear version. (Safe zones, NPCs, in-game store...)

    Some people will kill you for your beans. Take a moment to think about that. What do you think people are going to do for a working vehicle? Beans < Vehicle, so... I mean, my sympathies to you, man. But stupid idea was stupid.
  16. To be honest, that actually sounds somewhat fun. I`m all for kicking things to death, then again, I guess that is why Rocket is adding dogs. (/sarcasm, I love dogs. :D) Achievement unlocked: Access Granted Bypass server secuirity with hacks. Achievement unlocked: Spaaaaaace! Have your vehicle glitch out and send you flying upwards. Into Spaaaaaace! Achievement unlocked: Killspree II Get 50 human kills in one life. Achievement unlocked: The Survivor is a Spy! Join a faction and then kill all of the faction members. (Sounds like fun, to be honest.) Achievement unlocked: All your base is mine! Destroy an NPC base and loot it`s contents. Achievement unlocked: Raid King. Complete the 10-man raid "Patient Zero" on any difficulty.

  18. If you are only going to play DayZ, then wait for standalone. If you are going to play ArmA as well and do not want to wait for ArmA III, then get it.

    Meh. Your points are valid. We are just taking it differently. You are taking it logically and how it would affect the game. I`m taking it as how it would be viewed by a minority, and how it would all appear in the context of story, whether it be the diary that has been mentioned by Rocket, fan fictions, or the one I plan to write in the standalone. All points taken, yours are probably the more legit.

    Infected children in DayZ. Poll.

    A game that makes you really wonder about what you are doing philosophically is doing something right. If it moves you somehow, it is doing something right. If it makes you think about what is going, it is doing something right. Take the Hunger Games. The whole thing is messed up. Dictatorship society. Children forced to kill one another for the pleasure of sadistic people. The moral decisions and ideas make the story great, not lend towards it`s destruction. That is my view, feel free to disagree.

    Infected animals in general would be cool. The more grotesque and eerie, the more entertaining. Infected rotting crows eating corpses? Yes! Infected wolves making reaaallly grotesque gurgly howls in the night? Yes!

    That was a close (blood count)

    ~300 blood. I was praying so hard that the guy wouldn`t come up the stairs. I was yelling through my mic "Come up here and I`ll satchel charge you!" Which was, of course, bullshit, but it worked, he went away after a little bit of second-guessing my bluff.

    Define a bandit

    Bandits steal and take. Kill when they must. Survivors do what they can to survive. Kill when necessary. Heroes do what they can to benefit others. Kill when all other recourses of action have been tried. Murderers have no souls. End of story. I am neither a murderer nor a hero. I am yet another one who is lost in the shades of grey.

    If the DayZ devs and EVE devs had a baby...

    No one is going to agree with this. But what can I say? I've never been a good matchmaker. DayZ (Base idea.) SWG (Player customization, player towns, player guilds.) EVE (Hardcore feeling, permanant loss, ect.) (Insert some horror/scare game here.) (Dark enviroment, keeps you even more on edge) Overall, you`d get a very difficult customizable game where you know everything matters. Not to mention be scared and on your toes the whole time. Not to mention all the fun you could have with player-built towns and player guilds. Meh, just an idea.
