To whoever killed me at SW Airfield

Happened to me at the NW airfieild in the north barracks. Was looting with a friend, we got to the last room along, and as I headed out into the corrider a guy pops out of the room we just searched and unloads an AK into me. Friend steps out to kill him, poof, hes gone. Pretty annoying, but I hightailed it back there, with my friend guarding my corpse (he killed another server hopper too, thats karma for you) and when I was about 5 mins from getting back, bam, server crash. Luckily my buddy grabbed my M24 and my good loot just in case. But karma was smiling at me; as our server was still down, we joined another, and in the barracks was a dead guy with all the trimmings. -

Why should killing other players be a punishable act?

I dont think there should be any real punishment for killing other players. A few more spawn points would help, like a few inland a bit more so people have the incentive to actually explore rather than follow the coast straight to cherno/electro. And the whole "we have to kill people now" argument is pish too, why? This game is all about choosing your way to survive. Some people choose to kill others, others live off the land. And yes, "bandits" will have more gear than "survivors" because they choose risk. Every time you put a player in your sights, unless you know theyre alone, that you have the advantage, you take a big risk opening up on them. And high risk tends to equal high rewards. And thats fine. If people want to play that way, great (though I do draw a line between bandits being out in the world surviving and playing the game "properly" [fine] and people who camp a roof in cherno/electro sniping everyone [questionable]) Im not going to judge them, but I wont shirk at returning fire, or even firing first, if its beneficial for me to do so. -

I think these should only be based on how long you've lived, your zombie kills, and your humanity. It'll encourage people to live longer and stop playing Quake 3 arena in Cherno and Elektro if you benefit from living longer. This is possibly the best Idea ever. Looking good during the zombie apocolypse is what separates us from the animals. -

Its so much easier to survive in the wilderness. Sticking to the coast is asking for trouble. More players = more bandits. However once you go a certain distance north you can treat everyone else as hostile. Survivor skin, bandit skin, makes no difference to me. I see you, I will track you. I will hunt you. I will eliminate you. Its nothing personal. Its survival. -
Blocking off buildings with barbed wire

Use a toolkit to cut the barbed wire. -
Bump, because with some work, this could do a good job of stepping in where the humanity system left off. If something like being in a group raises your morale (with a few beneficial side effects) it would encourage players to work together after the bandit skin goes, rather than everyone just killing on site.

Can any of the repairable helicopters come equipped with rocketpods and the like? Could be that if they can. -
Could there be room for a cannibalism option in the game? For example, in the same way that you can kill and gut animals, you could do the same to dead players, but only when your hunger is really low. Obviously this would absolutly tank your humanity, and make you ill for a while, (similar effects to when you require painkillers) to make there some bad points about doing it, otherwise everyone will do it for the lols. I know its a pretty nasty thing to implement, but what does everyone think?

I demand Player X dead, and am willing to pay 10 cans of beans for his head! I dont think that would work; as it is you cant really know who is who in this game, and forcing player ids to appear in game would detract from the tension of encountering others. -

The humanity system is great, the skins are passable. A survivor can kill you just as fast as a bandit. And removing the bandit skin adds another layer of tension when encountering strangers. But i think we need to have something as a benefit for keeping yor humanity up. Perhaps a lower humanity means your zombie aggro range goes up? Like the zombies can smell your evil or something..
