It may just be my personal experience, but players are not friendly unless they're dead. Still, nice that you didn't just pop him when you had the chance.

I'd have to guess that in an actual zombie apocalypse there would be fewer people running directly at me with some sort of melee weapon in their hands screaming 'Friendly!' Other than that, yeah, I'd say it's pretty good.

To hold all your wet stuff?

I've always just assumed that if you're on the coast, you're in a pvp zone. If you're by a town, city, airfield or any other place that has a chance at loot, you're in a pvp zone. If you're in the middle of a forest with nothing around and not between any towns then you're in a pve zone...maybe. It's served me well in the mod where I was alone with nothing but a hatchet (I don't PvP) and some matches. To me, that makes more sense that adding a whole other section to the playable area. Also, now that I'm with friends instead of by myself, I can see that being a huge pain in the ass to link up with new or respawning players. Surely you're not suggesting that the group has to wait 100 hours to form back up and move into this other major area?

This is one of the reasons I'm personally looking forward to release as there will hopefully be multiple hives. This should give me a guy to play with my friends with and a guy to run around solo with. If wanting to play this game with friends makes me a bad person then so be it.

If I had to guess, it was a new player fumbling for the buttons. The first time I ran into someone I couldn't remember the button to talk so I just started mashing buttons and then ran for it.

I've been looking for an easy way to find a night server as I prefer to do my looting when it's dark. I know it's supposed to be real time but thus far I've tried US servers at 0100 and it's daylight. I've tried EU servers; but the Sun's up at 2100. I've tried to filter by the keyword 'night' or 'GMT+/- hours'. I did manage to find a server where it was getting dark, started to get set up and then the admin restarted it to be daytime again. Is there any easy way, beyond connecting and disconnecting, to find out if the server is day or night? Thanks and looking forward to getting shot in the head, bp
