    Huey Disapear....

I'm not sure if anybody else is thinking this, but if you killed another player for a heli that they may have taken the time to fix and repair themselves then do you really have any right to complain when the heli is not there for you? I'm not trying to flame anybody but it seems silly at how attached you became to that vehicle, you do have to remember that in Day Z you will die, a lot. Don't try to become too attached to any gun or item in the game, not everything is forever.

    back at the beach.....PoS game

First off, I do not believe you have any coding and programming knowledge so you have no experience in being able to determine how long it would take to turn the game standalone. For all you know it could take 1 month of solid work. Secondly, as many other people have stated, this is in the alpha stage of development, it does not mean I am saying that it is an excuse for these issues to happen but you have to realise that Rocket and the team would most likely have more pressing issues to work out than a few players losing their gear. I'd assume most people would like Rocket to work on the issue of hacking rather than your problem, but that as I said is just an assumption.

    Hackers NEED to be fixed.

Probably one of the most useless replies I have read to date. As for the OP, yeah it really is depressing that just because this game is in an open Alpha phase that it is rife with hackers. I really hope that the bans and such get kicked up a notch.
  4. Kinda like this? It really is becoming ridiculous, I kinda wish Day Z never got all the publicity it did.
  5. Oh my god, when I get my hands onto one of those I'll.. I'll......fuck, I have no idea what I would do first, rig a car and leave it in the middle of cherno, put it on a door and then put a map marker on where it is with the tag 'loot' attached, so many possibilities for fun.

    Gay Hacker strikes again FML

First off, may I ask if you have indeed passed high-school? Because it is becoming more and more apparent at how childish you are by using the term 'umadbro' in response to me commenting, quite politely may I add about you not using that language on these forums in that manner. It may be just a word to you, but to other people in this world who have homosexual family members and friends in their life might find it insulting, which I do, so I commented on it when you used the word in that way, simple. Secondly, I was not coming here to belittle you or insult you in any way, instead I was trying to keep this forum's level of maturity to what I deem was acceptable standards and having somebody write things such as "I will splooge everywhere" just seems unnecessary for a forum post on in-game cheaters, don't you think? You can vent all you need on a forum like this, I have no issue with that, but there are ways of doing it that make it easier for other forum viewers to read and understand. Lastly, I fail to see how me commenting that the mod is in an Alpha phase and will be rife with hackers till Rocket moves the platform to a standalone base causes me to instantly be considered as 'one of the hackers'. Anyway, I do hope you find more loot in the game and get some revenge on those players that killed you and I hope you have a enjoyable day/night.

    Gay Hacker strikes again FML

First of all, there is no need to use a term that is normally associated with homosexuality in a vulgar and insulting way. It's just not necessary, you could have easily said that some "piece of shit hackers" were on the server instead of using 'gay' to describe them. Secondly, is it really going to help your post by adding in parts like "would splooge all over my family, dog and surrounding walls."?, is that even going to add anything useful to the post? No. Will it make you come off as if you have only just left high school? Yes, completely and utterly it will. Lastly, this mod for ARMA is only in the ALPHA phase, so that means you will be dealing with bugs, hackers, crashes and anything and everything that comes with playing a game that is still in development. If you don't like it, then just don't play it, simple. EDIT: Kinda ironic considering you only have 6 posts don't you think?

    Waterbottles...Should hold multiple 'drinks'.

I agree with this idea completely. Right now in the game if you find a water bottle it is about as useful as a normal can of drink, it having a refill option really doesn't do that much for me so I'd love to see its usability raised up to a max of 3 drinks before refill. But pain pills are not completely the same, how do you know how many pills are in the pack you find? Maybe only a couple and if you get hit by a zombie or fall it will hurt so you will take a bunch, kinda like doctor house haha.
  9. RotorGod

You guys are gonna think im stupid.

Well I'd say aim for something that will play on medium, ARMA is a very resource intensive game so you need a beefy computer to handle it. I'm just able to run max everything and these are my specs: I5 quad-core - 4.3ghz Nvidia GTX670 Asus Mobo 16gb 1600mhz ram. So yeah not sure how much that will set you back where you are from but here in upside-down land it ain't cheap.

I feel like I'm in fight club, oh wait.

    Block Off Private Servers*

Yeah I remember that, looked really promising. I just hope Rocket and the great team he has will be willing to add that feature in themselves :)

    You fail to understand hacking

Thought so, thanks for the response. I'm not sure how to work the armoury just yet but I'm currently progressing through the stock shooting range to try and get better so I'm no longer doing it other ways. EDIT: In no way was I doing anything for my own amusement or in-game gain, neither was I doing to it poison other players online experiences, rather it was to try and be better player with aiming. I completely understand that this is a mod to be tested publicly and that's why I have moved to the shooting range, I just felt there was too many extra weapons that I would have to try instead of being able to focus on guns found in DayZ itself.

    You fail to understand hacking

May I ask whoever reads this, Would you consider a person who scripts in weapons to test them out and then plants all the items that have been scripted onto the zombies body and then hides the body so it is gone forever and lets themselves die from zombies once they have no items on them as bad as the nuking hackers?

    Block Off Private Servers*

I would like to have a password protected server or something like that just so I can play in a single-player world, I don't want it to be connected with my public account and share items, just a offline account that I can play Day Z on by myself when my net is running badly or if I just don't feel like being careful of other players around.
  15. I'll start this off by saying that I have not really thought about this idea a whole lot before putting it up here so there may very well be issues with the suggestion that I have not taken into consideration that would stop this from being a viable idea/add-on for the game. Anyway, the basic idea of what I had in mind was a game level for a single player at a time that consisted of a wide open field with possibly some buildings scattered around it and a couple of player spawn points on it to be created on. Next to each player spawn point would be some sort of weapons cache that the player can access, much like the script-able boxes you see certain players using now in-game. These weapon cache's would hold a minimum one of each weapon and a few specific items. Food and beverages would not be in the cache's as the meters they fill up are not required in this level/mode. Now of course zombies are in the level too as they are critical for this maps primary function, which is to give players a space on which to test out weapons and possibly zombie-sneaking tactics. I suggest this idea because I have found that with the only sniper I found on a player in a server on Day Z ever that I was horrible with aiming with it, I would have been lucky to hit anywhere within a doorway from 20 meters away, the same applies for other weapons on certain servers as the latency affects my shots, me being in Australia and all. Some people may say that it wouldn't work at helping anything but at a LAN that was hosted two days ago where one of the players had that box script I had previously spoken about and gave me and one of the other players there a CZ-550 to test on him at multiple different ranges and heights I found that my aim in general was better with scopes and it was good fun just to try out aiming and practising. Overall I feel that it would help a lot of the newer players who have never fired a shot in Day Z let-alone ARMA II before. I cannot say if it helped the other player to aim either but I feel it probably did. Also if we ended with this mode being added in then it would allow the separation of the players who hack this game to destroy somebody else's progress and enjoyment in the game and the players who simply cannot shoot to save their own life and need a place to get a little better at aiming with the weapons they can find and carry in servers. Like I said, there may be things that I have not taken into consideration with this suggestion but I honestly feel it could help the newcomer player-base and even some of the veterans in this game who just want a bit of mindless shooting fun. If you have read this far then thank you for reading this and I thouroughly look forward to the feedback on this and what the rest of the Day Z community feels on this idea.

A mode suggestion for the future possibly?

I just cannot seem to always get it. Might be my mouse or net but otherwise I just suck and need practice.
  17. RotorGod

    Block Off Private Servers*

I was always under the impression that as long as the server was running a private-hive and not connected to the main hive that you see most servers running then you could password it?
  18. RotorGod

A mode suggestion for the future possibly?

I did think about that option yes, but does Day Z have less weapons than what ARMA II uses normally? Because if it has a lot less than ARMA i feel I'd just be wasting time toying with certain guns that will never end up being in my hands on a server at some point. Also may I ask if the weapons tutorial on ARMA uses stationary targets for most small arms training? Again, if that is the case then I would still like to have a specific Day Z range where zombies would run around at the different speeds and styles they are capable of moving in so I can have practice with that and not a pop-up target.
  19. Just wondering if any other aus/nz survivors are on these forums, it seems that only bandit's are around as every server I'm in I will get shot at instantly.

    My First Day

Welcome to the world of Day Z. It's a very harsh beginning but it teaches you the most valuable lesson in this game; trust nobody unless you have an already pre-agreed truce between them.

The curse of the EXPLOODIIINNNGGGG Shop!

    Shop goes bang now?
  22. Valek, I hope you read this so I can get a response, you seem to be very knowledgeable on this subject. I would love to host a private Day Z server to play in my own little world with my mates and then just play on my normal character on-line, is there any easy way to achieve running a private server? I have not seemed to be able to figure it out just yet. :/ Edit: So happy to know that I may be able to still host a private Day Z LAN match :D
  23. Let me guess, you haven't even past the 5th Grade yet? Sure sounds like it from the way you manage to pathetically spell words that my goldfish could pronounce and spell with ease. I only wish my server was ready to be run and I would wait for you or any of the little shits that think hacking is cool and instantly GUID ban you for the rest of the servers life, and if I was a Day Z moderator I would IP trace your last login on this very forum account and then IP ban you from every server, that way you can stay in BF3 and deal with Origin's safety measures. So how about you jump back on your mother's computer, go to bebo or whatever little shitty friends site you love and get back to circle-jerking with the rest of your lame little buddies about how cool you feel destroying a game that someone built and created for your pleasure and enjoyment. P.S. I bet once your balls drop you will become like the OP and ask for our forgiveness and we will tell you that it's too late for you to pull your enormous head out of your ass and be a legit gamer.
  24. I'm quite disappointed with the rules, I have a group of people who would love to play by ourselves in a small player slot server since we all end up finishing work at an extremely late hour, but considering in Australia it is well over $100 a month for a 30-40+ slot server I simply cannot afford that by myself on my current salary and none of the people who play with me can afford to either. Alas, now it seems we cannot play with each other privately anymore just for fun :/ such a let down, hopefully something will be done about it soon.
