Yes it does. You're confusing the latest save issues with 1.7.2.5 with some weird idea that illegal weapons don't save. They absolutely do.

Norse, this has nothing to do with the server. It is a well known issue with the latest Hive patch in 1.7.2.5. Again, it has nothing to do with the server.

It saves to hive. In fact, it repeatedly saves to the hive. I was shocked when I first saw someone in the logs with an AS50-TWS, it literally spams hive saves. Specifically, every weapon or item that isn't available in the DayZ Mod does. I think it has something to do with Rocket tracking people with illegal weapons.

I'm curious, why deny yourself gear in the future if you should die? I would add the server and location to my growing list of loot sites to revisit if I need gear someday.

Help me to understand. You're using AS50-TWS, a very well known hacked-in weapon. More specifically, you're using means outside of the mod to kill players. You believe a hacker 'spawned himself' behind you and he killed you. Specifically, another player using means outside of the mod killed you. Do you see the similarities? Apparently, you doing it is perfectly ok but when someone else does it it isn't ok?

Join a server with version 1.7.2.4, then join a server with version 1.7.2.5, you will spawn on the coast. Possibly without any gear.

I watched a hacker testing their scripts on a private hive server one. One of the scripts they tested was voice communication over a 5km distance. So I would hazard a guess that hackers can 'throw' their voice up to 5km if using this script. Normal range is around 80m.

I think people are getting hung up on the AS50-TWS but it isn't the focus of this thread. The player stated he is banned in both public and private servers. Hence it is a global ban via BattlEye. Even private servers have to use BattlEye and global bans will stick...as they are, you know, global. Go here -> http://www.battleye.com/support.html bans of this nature are handled by them, not us.

Admin cannot teleport. They have zero control over the game except for the ability to kick players, ban players, and shutdown/restart the server. They have no influence over the game otherwise. You are clearly dealing with a hacker. Whether he is the Admin or not isn't known because a Hacker can obtain the password to make themself Admin in game. The server Admin needs to update to prevent this from happening.

You did the right thing. Sadly, the weapon will respawn in the tent at the next restart.

Stop server hoping between the two versions of servers out there. Problem solved.

Keep trying to respawn. Jump to other servers. Maybe try to reset your location by joining a server with version 1.7.2.4 then go to 1.7.2.5. Hopefully it'll fix you.

I suggest learning the game first. The controls and how to lose zombie aggro, etc. Use http://dayzdb.com/map as a guide for where to go get loot. Biggest thing to learn is how to locate your position on the map. When you first load into the game, you are told your basic location in the lower right. But learning directions is super important. Biggest tip is, Clouds travel East.

I would argue only using stealth if you're used to moving at a snails pace in a game. Most people don't enjoy stealth games as much. An alternative is to sprint, Zombies cannot hurt you if you sprint and stay outside of melee range. The trick is LOSing them. Line of Sight in powerful. You turn a corner from a zombie and it cannot see you...only hear you. So, turn a corner and drop into Prone and crawl away in safety. Trees seem to be a great way to lose Zombies these days. If you get a huge train of zombies, run into the woods and zigzag through trees, bushes and the like. You should easily lose the zombies.

I am at my wits end here, I don't know what to do. My server is having serious issues with it's Vehicles. Two days ago, the White Off-Road Truck turned into a Tractor. At first I thought someone was having a laugh. They had found my hiding place, stolen the Truck, then parked a Tractor in it's place. It was funny. Then it happened again but this time with the Motorcycle. The Motorcycle, was originally the white one...after the next restart it turned into the Red Dirt-bike. It stayed as the Red Dirt-bike for several restarts. Today, it became a Tractor. Or, again, maybe someone is having a laugh by finding it and replacing it with the tractor. I would just laugh it off as someone having a good time messing with me and I'd be perfectly okay with this except, there is another vehicle transmorphing and it's reproducible. The UAZ which spawns at Altar consistently transforms into the White Off-Road Truck after a reboot once it's been repaired, moved to a new location, then saved. We've been able to do this twice now. I expect at the next server restart the White Off-Road Truck will despawn as it did last time, then sometime in the future the UAZ will spawn at Altar in disrepair. I'll happily video it this next time around just to show it. But I doubt seeing it will actually help anyone figure this out. I'm going to pour through all my logs and hope to see some script being fired that a script kiddie/hacker is using to move vehicles around. Because this would explain why vehicles disappear to be replaced by tractors. But the UAZ thing...I don't think can be explained this way. Does anyone have any advice? I can do with the help.

There is a reason these servers have a low population. That reason is...because they're using 1.7.2.4 or earlier. You, are very likely using 1.7.2.5 Pay attention to your version and the server version.

So, ok. Battleye has started running integrity checks on players' files. And I'm seeing people getting kicked left and right for failing these checks. Usually happens with Boulders.pbo or something. I saw one check failure on a ghillie suit file. One failure happened with a Structure file. Do these file check failures represent players who have or are using edited files to remove landscape/buildings? If so, are these bannable offenses? Granted, they get kicked regularly and already cannot play long term. BUT if they're using hacked files then that implies they may be using other methods of exploiting/gaining advantage in the game. Shouldn't this warrant a ban?

I hope this isn't another BattlEye fuck up like the global banning. I'm watching one guy get kicked every ten minutes for a boulder file.

We had vehicles disappear and some became other vehicles. Myself and a mate spent the day fixing up a UAZ. (6 glass windows...really?) only to drive it to our hiding spot before the server reset. After the reset the UAZ turned into the Offroad White Truck. Which I had hidden elsewhere. When the UAZ transformed into the Offroad Truck, I lost a shit ton of gear because the gear was reset to what it was when I had found it. NOT what was in there when I parked and saved it. Frustrating.

Do this exactly! Shut down Steam Restart Steam AS ADMINISTRATOR Run Arma2. Quit Arma2 at title menu. Run Arma2:OA >a DOS window will open and there will be file spam< Quit Arma2:OA at title menu. You can shutdown steam if you want, don't need it again for DayZ. Download Six Launcher or Dayz Commander. Install whichever you chose. Run it and it should do all the rest of the work. Find a server with low ping and play.

Post to Sever Complaints. A "community" based ban means multiple people wanted you banned. Unless they have some proof of you doing something terrible they need to unban you.

Have to be honest, I'd love to see that monster. If it's so big it takes your backpack slot, it must rain some serious pew pews.
