I was so happy for the boat and so pissed off for it being such piece of shit. if you don't want macro stfu and move on or provide single valid reason without trollbait memes edit - someone slipped damn typos in my post -

To be honest here I don't get it, whats the problem if this was to be implemented? You don't have to use it if you don't want to. -
It is ridiculous performance hog, I've always used the - bandicam.com which is lesser evil

Sorry pal but I would be really surprised if it run even on lowest on the laptop on its own :( @maarek321 - situation will most likely be similar. However you may be able to play the game as long as you stay outside of towns and tweak settings -
Who Are You? Or "How to make DayZ not all about KOS in a few not so easy steps".

I appreciate this could work for others but to me personally, it's something I can completely do without and I don't think shallowness has anything to do with it if I were to reply to potential implementation of such feature. Beans for OP for thinking outside of the box. I feel though that my imagination of how would the devs go around implementing the bits and pieces are rather limited, not to mention I am clueless about the capabilities of the engine. I can't seem to come up with anything on how to expand on OP's ideas as most has been said I guess but instead I thought I would try and come up with something ..well else. Anyhow, IMO dayz feels like its very similar concept to what GTA games are like although obviously in few different ways. If I were to borrow any idea from it, probably one of the most fun moments I had were being chased by the police / law enforcement. Not everything went unnoticed. Maybe little cheesey and certainly not a new idea but we could leave bandits do their thing and police volunteers would do theirs, chasing in game offenders, being called by walkie talkies from players and remaining witnesses? I am sure many other volunteers would gladly supply vehicle parts or other stuff. I am not so sure about Ammo & weaponry though. EDIT - Bandits could try to take over police vehicles and the extra ammo I guess too. There could be interesting battles for gas near gas station and so on.. -
Looking to pick up a new PC, suggested specs to handle both DayZ SA and other High-End games?
[email protected] replied to hannibaldaplaya's topic in General Discussion
If you shop at newegg or similar you should fit even under $1000 easily. This rig would be the best performance for price http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/159342-will-this-work-as-a-general-gaming-pc/page-2#entry1601357 -

Well I do agree with you on that some players are simply dicks and beyond. Personally I like to play as lone survivor on low-er population servers as I just don't like bumping into another player every 10 minutes. IMO that is not what days is or should be about. Currently however it's little boring and too easy, as undead are just super primitive. The only advice, being new to the game and all, is that find low population server ( 10 players or less ) and get the feel of the game without all the annoying insects with guns. Thing to note is that the game and zombies will become richer in numbers and better at ''combat'' as the time pass but on the other hand is good time to get to know the game mechanics. -
DayZ Sound Design Test - Part 3 Final Added

You've done it again :) It doesn't get much better than that, nice hi res samples and very authentic experience. Now who can hack these into game without rocket noticing? :P Appreciate that the drinking and eating sounds are much more pleasant and more subtle to the originals. If anything though, I also feel that the storm could be more slightly more thundery but I really liked it's position. :beans: :beans: :beans: -

I don't get it. I would never spend this kind of money on something that I wouldn't be able to upgrade. 16Gb is completely useless in laptop and the GPU is on weak side. If the screen resolution is 1336*762 it should play alright though. A thing to realize, unlike desktop, the max clock of 3.4Ghz will only be momentary, you won't be able to hold that clock for extended periods of time = lag spikes It should run ok but you need to step up the graphic card to something like and at least HD7770 - 7850 or better yet 7870. Medium with some low is what I'd expect -

You must be new around here.... Welcome and I'd suggest reading around a bit to get acquainted with the mind set of the game. For what its worth open your mind, stop thinking about silly blockbuster like games and maybe after few more hours of play you may appreciate the game as it takes entirely different approach. There must be a reason why dayz sold 700000 copies in first couple of days -

It's a very weak card. Your CPU is good and you should be looking at at least HD7770 or 7850. Ideally 7950, providing you have sufficient power supply -

Future end game idea - Train at Guba leads to next map
[email protected] replied to Burt_Reynolds's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I am not opposed to this idea, imagine playing on altis - altis is massive even compared to chernarus but I am not sure at all how would they be connected? I mean if it meant that once I reach '' teh teleport'' the server loads different map, that could work I guess -

DayZ Sound Design Test - Part 3 Final Added
[email protected] replied to fortran's topic in General Discussion
Well done again The FSX45 sounds gloriously! There's honestly nothing I can think of that would make it sound any better. Fire AXE - spot on Seascape ambiance - Relaxing :) any chance to bring forward the splashing when the water hits rocks and stuff? Shovel - Great although I wish once in a while the sound of the wooden handle hitting would mix in Mosin - I like the raw base sound but to me it sounds little distant and could use bit more attack? What I mean is it feels like the sound is going away right after the shot where I'd expect the sound to go sorth of ''behind me'' rather than away. I also noticed the left channel is little more forward than the right. I appreciate it's in progress and trial & error thingy :) The M4A1 suppressed & subsonic is brilliant as well Sorry if being too picky and I appreciate its all down to itall being subjective. I hope I may have raised some constructive criticism -

[email protected] replied to terminal_boy's topic in New Player Discussion
Agreed but then there should be two recommended specs IMO, for desktops AND laptops. I'd say the majority of aren't aware that same CPU/ GPU combo in laptop does not equal to the performance of similar specced desktop. -
Gore for zombies only to enhance our experience?
[email protected] replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
Ok so seeing as some of us think / thought this would be engine limited and or bring performance issues, is there anything you in the know think why would they not too keen on implementing gore in dayz then? -
Can We Get A "Sorry, but playing the SA on your laptop isn't going to be fun." Sticky?
[email protected] replied to terminal_boy's topic in New Player Discussion
Not to mention that most laptop users can only play because their screen resolution is rather sad, 1366 x 768 -

How'd you propose we do that? The dayz page has already recommended specs ( which should be minimum really ) but HW & settings varies so greatly that I don't see how we could nail this. -
Gore for zombies only to enhance our experience?
[email protected] replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
That would be ideal and if that means that there would not be any performance issues ( I lack the knowledge, implementation, engine.. ) than I see little to no reason not to have it. -
Im so upset : ( Has anyone goten themselfs into this yet and if so how to get out?

Zeds are likely to simply kill you. I've had this happen to me as well and maybe I was lucky but got out of it by randomly trying V and running and V. If that doesn't help you might want to try and log off / restart steam and relog
