I experienced this just last night after finding new private hive server. Found me a bike and the ''chase cam'' was all the way down so I was basically looking at characters back.. Usually, I believe if you move your mouse forward, the camera goes to higher position but that didn't work. The walkaround was to use Alt key. -

Found out the hard way last night too, loosing my first ever found NV's :( The server was an official hive DE ###. Placed the tent next to (kind of under) the tree and on server restart all items gone. I believe the server use only @rmod (not really sure though), @dayz and @hive -

Agreed, no arguments about that. The apparent frustration in some players lately however is probably good indication that something went horribly wrong. I'm not necessarily implying that its the current patch, as zombies do need to pose bigger thread but there's something seriously wrong with them at the same time. -

I don't know about the the rest of you peeps but I indeed can / could and I don't even work as nurse or whatever. (or a junkie lol) My point being that just because some people cannot swim, shouldn't mean that suddenly all people will be restricted and be like - ok, two of my friends can't swim so the ingame avatar will not be able to swim anymore, if you get my point. Your passion and your hard work is much appreciated, know that folks but if you guys want to make it more difficult than what some may consider annoying, please hear this - When your character spawns, it get assigned random blood type and if you need blood transfusion, you better have the correct blood bag/s. As a survivor playing pretty much always alone, I can assure you its literally as hard as it can get already, animals / meat being scarce, not to mention zeds and actual human players and other factors. Final thoughts, thinking alaud I love the idea of shifting / making dayz survivors hell and get people work together even more than dayz being rather PvP but IMHO you can only push so far while maintaining player base of at least few hundreds. -

Yes yes we know but that doesn't exactly help in resolving possible hidden bugs. OP if you're certain it was an official hive ( I made the mistake more than few times thinking of private hive being official due to lack of server description :rolleyes: ) I'm no expert on this but maybe the server was badly set up by admin/s? -

Subsonic ammo is very hard to find indeed and as of G36, theres no silent version but it's magazines are compatible with stanag 5.56 mags. -

Theres no f*gg*t talk in between but I assume people lying because their skill is just as low as themselfs. -
So I found me a chopper yey but only to enjoy it for about an hour. Anyways, could somebody tell me what happens to the heli when server restarts? I didnt see any flames or wreckage of it either..?

Enemy of my enemy is my friend. Basically my priority #1 would be to take out or distract the higher ground, the semi auto long range fucker and since he offered his higher tear rifle, two guns can do more than one. In fact, anyone actually killing that guy would be probably nothing less than stupid shit. Obviously, if we did get that dmr, I would very closely watch him or be gone right afterwards. Maybe if he had a vehicle ''next'' to him. That would get me thinking -

I'm plain survivor and I try to not kill people unless really necessary. If you however wear a ghillie suit and carry DMR or any other sniper, I'd put you down without thinking twice about it. -

I made my comments and remarks earlier so I just would like to add; Zeds can hit trough moving vehicle with unbroken glass and eventually brake bones. (this is now known I believe) Animals - As a survivor I don't carry blood bags. My problem though is that animals simply disappear at times, (not always though) before I get to them across field. (400-600m). It's not easy as it is and vanishing animals make it real tough for lone players. It'd also seem there are far less animals at night. I can't stress enough that when there are couple people on servers (donno, mostly survivors I guess), finding an animal can be harder than finding silenced MP5. # Please consider at least slightly increasing animal spawns, as zeds can take loads of blood and again, as survivor its extremely hard some days, usually when many ppl online. -
lol yea, completely forgotten about molotovs!! I believe this is engine / mod limited but dam those could be fun :P !

I've found one in the fields between east of NW airfield and stary sobor. Mind you though though, I indeed had a can of mountain dew in my packpack :P Thatone was pretty damaged though, so if you ever find one, prepare to have every part in game available. PS - an easter egg of 6 stanag magazines were included in the car and server was official hive

@Shadow - I'd leave it up to devs and how they implement it. The thing is there is always push for more realism and or to make the game even harder but I feel so many features are missing yet they are realistic and mostly not even hard to implement. IMO that is. Balancing issues and gameplay concerns are completely understandable but IMHO theres no excuse for not having at least some kind of simple explosives and other ''home made'' traps.

Has zombie hit range been increased as well? Because last night I got knocked out dead (had low-ish blood already alright) but the zed was good 2-3 m away from me. Basically I was inside those wooden bungalow houses in the doorway with hatchet and the zed was still like solid 1m outside the door steps and he just knocked me out... Is there anything that could be done to maybe slightly lower their long hands? I'm seeing this kind of behaviour after this patch -
Completely agree. I wanted something like this since beginning and I'd expand beyond boobie traps. ACE mod has many cool exploding toys like - tiny pack of C4. Not as powerful as ingame satchel but exactly up to the job. Just place at door as your back up and voila, zeds or player done. Timed or remotely detonated, to your service. So many possibilities and all it woul take I believe would be just reduce the current damage radius of satchels. Or just model such tiny item. Do definitely want!!

All this seems sensible to me and I agree on all points. While I like the idea of the game getting even harder I still want it to be a game that I can have eventually fun with. I say eventually as its pretty brutal for newspawns as well newbies. (That's ok too, I mean learn or die) Though I've always wondered why there's still arent any small, home made explosives like boobie traps and small pack of C4 or whatever. (like in ACE mod) Furthermore, (and due to balancing issues I now may be pushing too far) even though the weapon is already modeled and ready, the inclusion of grenade launcher like M32 is missing. Make it as uber rare weaponery but IMHO it should be there. Suppressed weaponery should be IMHO bit more common as well. -

Yours and every one involved hard work is much appreciated. Even though people will always complain about something I'm sure many of us would go nuts without some dayz fix and your continued support of this mod. Cheers! Now, :) It could be just me but I'd stand behind the idea to remove empty cans getting back into inventory. Let us pick it up instead. Didn't have any trouble logging off so far but happy there was further tweaking Another thing and I'm not sure if its bug or I might be missing on something but after loosing blood due to zed fighting my sound go muffled. Now the thing is it seems to stay that way at times even though I fully regained my blood levels to full health. If somebody could check on that that would be much appreciated. Not sure if the helo crashes are bugged or not but after couple hours in game I did find UH60 with nice loot. ( got killed not long afterwards goddammit :P ) How many slots or where in storage space is the newly added british assault pack?
