    I miss Cherno, I miss the action that we got there. I understand that we spawn in the east coast now because it's supposed to be further away from the military bases but the fact is that people just got get looted up west, go east and die. I've seen squads fully geared in Berezino than in the NWAF lately. The spawns atm are terrible. Random spawns throughout the map is the fix imo.
  3. Agreed, the amount of hacking at the moment is unbelievable. I've started recording my gameplay again and the amount of bullshit I've got recorded so far is insane. I played in berezino for 2 hours yesterday and found 4 fully kitted M4's with hacked mags in that time. BE is and always has been a pile of absolute dog sh*t.

    This is a difficult statement to accept from a 14 year old who thinks his gaming rig is worth 2 and a half grand when realistically it barely breaks 1.

    At NWAF, my mate got gunned down by a guy with tkso pants, olive tac jacket, black hi cap vest, green beret. I wait for him to loot, 2 of them go to the body, wearing the exact same outfit. Even the boots are the same. I fire 2 shots with my AK, both in the head, one dies instantly. The other makes a run for it. I put 3 more rounds into his back, he drops. I flank to the otherside of the barracks. I spot another player (in the exact same outfit as the other two - what a coincidence). I put the rest of my AK mag into him from 10 feet, he doesn't die, he returns fire. I reload and go back inside the wall and put another 3 rounds into him, he goes down. I turn around and take rounds from another player standing inside a tree, tkso pants, olive tac jacket, black hi cap vest, green beret. (Do you see the pattern here?). I pump an AK mag into the tree, I see multiple blood impacts. He runs out of the tree firing at me, breaks my legs. I reload on the ground and assume the crouching stance. I fire 3 or 4 bursts at him as he runs straight towards me at around 20 feet. He isn't going down. In fact he's pulling out his axe. He swings it at me. I die. Such a well made game.

    DayZ In-game Controls

    hey guys, my controls on dayz seem to have changed. I used to be able to run fast by double pressing W, however, to sprint now I must press and hold shift. I have messed about with the controls and have tried to bind the double W as well but it just doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    I think the weapon sway in this game is completely unrealistic. Weapons are not that hard to aim, even for novices, espcially when lying prone. I think from a prone position there should be nearly to no sway at all. Obviously if you have been running and aim a large weapon like a mosin whilst standing yes, but an m4 for example is a light gun and even out of breath is possible to aim accurately.

    Anyone else having trouble with that stupid mosing sway that was in a few patches ago. I cannot get my scope to stay still for even a fraction of a second, lying prone for 10 minutes and it's still moving about.

  12. Oh yeah my bad, things are much better now. It used to be just zombies that could walk through buildings, now players can do it too, much improvement, such programming, wow.
  13. Running into the appartments in Berezino, some pussies have glitches through the walls of the building and firing their glitched m4 mags for 40-50 seconds with unlimited rounds. Remember after the mod they said that hacking wouldn't be a problem in the standalone because everything was server side haha what a piece of shit game.

    Hardcore: What I have: 1 x Pristine M4 Double mag - Full 1 x Pristine M4 40 rnd mag - Full I also have about 100ish 5.56 loose rounds in pristine condition. What I want: Mosin with pristine compensator & plenty of ammo. I am near the NW portion of the map.

    Why not just put in a whole map that I can access with the press of a button instead of all the different parts that I'm never going to connect to. The way it worked in the mod was fine, the changes are terrible. /lock thread

    Semi auto firemode

    So I've been having trouble changing the fire mode of my weapon to semi automatic. I've been told that I can do this by pressing T (or pressing T twice) but neither have worked. I have an AKM at the moment and it should fire on semi as my friend has said it works for him but I can't seem to get it to work for me. Any suggestions?
  20. No, I'm not talking about how it sounds or how it looks, I'm talking about the effect on target. Currently I feel that bullets just don't do enough damage at the moment. For example, yesterday I'm at the NWAF airfield and come up behind a player at the firestation. I have an AK47 and release a quick burst of fire (about 4 rounds) into his back. He manages to turn round and get off 2 shots of his SKS before going down. Thankfully they both missed. Now I know that server desync etc plays a part but the server had just restarted so the desync was minimal. Obviously I find this pretty annoying because realistically 4 rounds of AK into your back should be instant death, and even if you don't die there is no way that you're standing up, turning around and returning fire. I have seen this sort of thing happening from the very beginning of this game and it really puts me off. We hear all the time that realism is key, yet this is one of the very fundamentals of gun play that is lacking. I simply do not trust that when I fire at someone that my rounds will kill him which leads to lots of automatic and sporatic fire which I really dislike. I prefer to fire single or double tap shots but a lot of the time this puts me at a huge disadvantage. Does anyone else feel like this or have similar stories? Thanks

    Realistic gunshots (bullet damage)

    I'm not talking about the distance between players etc though, if I'm point blank with a player and put a couple of 7.62 rounds into him, he should drop no matter what. Even with body armour on a person still falls over when hit by that round. I just don't feel the rounds in this game pack the punch that they should.

    Confirmed: AK is in the game. Also, the sway on the mosing with lrs is absolutely shocking, sitting still for 5 minutes and aim the gun and its still swaying about like crazy. Even an amatuer shooter could hold the gun steadier irl, fix this please.

    Hit a zombie in the head with an axe several times, still kept chasing me. Please stop making the zombies more dangerous and aggressive until you actually fix the things. Had one chasing me yesterday about 20 feet behind me and it was still hitting me. Alpha or no alpha, this is the same kind of problems we had with the mod, so not much has changed.

    Running up hill

    Probably been mentioned before, but it's so infuriating when your player stops on a hill that's hardly even steep to walk up. For a game that strivecs for realism this should be changed imo. Maybe slow the player down a bit going up hill, maybe make him use more food/drink etc. Regardless, a man only being able to walk uphill at a slow pace just isn't good enough, especially if you're being shot at or zombies on your ass.
