Will standalone support the non-Chernarus maps ?

Does anyone know if the SA will at some point in development, support the use of custom maps - Celle, Taviana, Namalsk etc ? Or will we be stuck forever with the either love it or loathe it Chernarus(+) ? And will it have it's own built in server finder, or will it still use DayZ Commander ? -

30% chance of a knife and axe being blunt ?? 30% ?! 30% isn't a "small chance..." I would never gamble in your Casino's with those odds ! Axes and knives stay sharp for months, maybe even years when doing the tasks they are designed to do (cutting wood and cutting meat). Is this 30% - .1) Each time you use it there is a 30% chance of bluntness (makes no sense because a knife can't become 'unblunt' after being classed as blunt) .2) Cumulative ? Once the knife/axe has been classed as blunt, the next time you use it is there a 30% chance of it becoming MORE blunt ? And can you negate this bluntness by dropping the blunt axe/knife and picking up a new one ? It does seem that the Alpha Development is following a consistent path of tweaking existing features of the game, making it more and more into a Les Stroud Simulator, instead of adding exciting new features that add something FUN to to the game. It's not that I don't appreciate the fuck out of you guys doing this stuff for free. I just wish you would add some new features that ADD something to the game rather than just TAKE AWAY stuff or make stuff less useful.

That death screen is awesome ! These guys are really working hard on taking Alpha to the next level. Hmmm, this is just Dayz for masochists. You wander around exactly the same map only to find tin cans and empty whiskey bottles EVERYWHERE instead of something rewarding or useful.

As well as DayZ+, it's in many private hive games that say '...base building...' in the title too.

Conflicting reports. Someone says they smell and hear, someone says they don't smell. Which is it ? Whichever of them it is, they do it INCONSISTENTLY (noone needs this explaining because we all know a million examples of this from playing). Even if they are technically blind (as it says in some reviews) - why don't they run into stuff when they chase you, or fall over ?) I still suspect they just use raycasting for the AI just like every other game. Given that The Infected's overall badass-ness is reportedly being bumped up, and that they can and will infect you with game-ending illnesses - being less 'visible' (in AI terms) to them in a Ghillie would be good. -
There are Rmod servers that have squads of NPC's.

What happens to your save when a server switches maps ?

As per the title - is your save lost forever, or will it still be there if the server changes back to the map in question ? -
I played in a Namalsk server with base building, and the whole damn island had a 'Great Wall of Namalsk' dividing it. It was bloody ridiculous !

Acquired immunities - that's a great point, and would make the SA less exasperating than it seems. -
Sumrak - why are the 2 railway tunnels in Namalsk caved in ? I thought maybe the Arma 2 engine didn't support tunnels, but then I saw that Taviana has a fully traversable metro tunnel under one of the cities. Is there any chance you can make the 2 Namalsk tunnels traversable ?

Taviana has lots of operational wind-farms, if The Rocket added windfarms to Chernarus+ then they could power the electricity substations that could power ELECTRIC trains. Which would mean adding a 3rd rail (oops you were just electrocuted crossing the track) or pantographs. If the trains are Diesels, then you just get a shit load of Jerry Cans and.......

I had to smile at the Private Hive Servers that are appearing - "MAX VEHICLES", "MAX CHOPPERS", "CUSTOM LOADOUTS" etc etc ! Kind of defeats the purpose of DZP doesn't it ?

Reason EVR lessens Namalsk: I just signed into a Namalsk server, I had no idea when the next EVR was, so I had to sit in a building for 43 minutes waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting. I should be playing, not waiting around ! Solution: If a player owns a WATCH then the time to the next countdown could be displayed via onscreen timer. It would make the watch a desirable item at least, not the useless thing it is now. Or scrap the thing completely - because it ruins the map. Why can't you unblock the 2 railways tunnels ? Taviana has a metro railway tunnel that you can run through, so it is possible. A player who shelters in either of the Namalsk tunnels could be completely immune to the effects of EVR.

What is DayZ+ ? I went to their website and there's no FAQ about the mod at all.

For example "JAPANZZZ LINGOR ISLAND v1.2.......500 vehicles plus player construction" (182.165.232.124:2302) First fishy thing was an 879k file download as it loads. Then it has a mousewheel option to 'Make Recipes' - which seems to bring up a big list of vehicles and stuff. I remember a post on here from a guy who said when he executed one of these options on a similar server and that he got a global Battleye ban. So, I am asking, are these construction options legit, or will you get a Global Ban for executing one of their custom scripts ?

Thanks. How does the construction thing work ? I only had the menu open for about a second before closing it for fear of being banned. I saw things like 'Spawn Landrover'. If you clicked 'Spawn Landrover' does it just spawn a working Landrover, or does it spawn a wrecked one that you have to repair ? What about building construction ? How does that work ? What options do you get to spawn ? Do you construct with Sandbags ? Is this kind of thing a worthwhile addition to the DayZ world ? -
Firing either of the machine guns on a UH-1 chopper whilst on the ground does NOT start the 30 second combat clock. Nor do the zombie kills you make with the guns count towards your kill score.

1.62 is the version number of Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead that Dayz uses. 1.62 is the latest version, so that is good.
