PROBLEM: Broken leg, can't go through doors/up stairs SOLUTION: Crawl as close to them as possible, face the direction you want to go, then vault[v]. Had I known this earlier in my dayz career it would have saved me hours of needless gameplay.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I forgot the server name. I assumed it was a very unimaginative hacker, but I may very well be wrong. Lost quite a bit of good legit gear. Logged into the server in a field, alone, with nothing. Insta-logged out and went to another server, where I was on the beach near Electro still void of gear, but I kept my kill count.

I can confirm that at least one of the sites on that map is accurate, and that there is at least one site that the map doesn't list. Just. Keep. Looking. Also, I spent 10 minutes looking around a chopper last week while a friend was sniping zombies that got too close. Right when I was about to evac I look inside for one last check and finally see "Take AS50". I had overlooked it at least 3 times...

I must say that you haven't experienced the full potential of this glitch if you are able to ignore it, however I agree with you that there are bigger problems that should be addressed by Rocket and company. Do we really need another "die hackers die" thread though? This thread is more for informational purposes. It appears to be affecting a seemingly large percentage of people(although I understand that many who don't have the glitch won't open the thread). It is my hope that some people will find the database useful, and that it will make the game playable for them once again.

I have found several threads on the dead soldier/barbed wire glitch, and have read numerous ways to fix it. In this poll I wish to see how much of the community is truly affected, and what they have found to be the best methods to deal with the issue. If I missed anything please let me know.

Can't be 100% sure, there were lots of things going on through my mind at that point. Do I communicate to them and chance being murdered? Do I stay still until they're gone and have all the loot(which I obviously found first, worked hard to try to get, and couldn't help but feel some ownership of)? There were some clans on the server, and I heard that most clans KoS. Their appearance and demeanor played some part in my thoughts as well, too many details to remember/list here. I suppose I could have been the bandit in this case, but I would be surprised. Maybe one of them will come on here and call me out? Either way it was an epic ending for me, and the other guy? He has friends to help get him on his feet again. I definitely lost way more in the exchange.

Thanks for the helpful replies. While awaiting some advice I continued stalking the chopper. I started hearing gunshots, and saw zombies falling, when all of the sudden a bandit crawled right past me, not noticing that I was there. A minute later a second bandit stood up not 30 feet away and started running up to his buddy. I had clear shots and gunned him down, causing his buddy to retreat - back into my field of fire. Unfortunately(for me) there was a third who was further back who got me. For my first playthrough, I am pleased with this game.

So I'm relatively new to the game, and found one of these crashed helicopters. It has around 10 zeds guarding. I was able to sneak in once, but it was a very close call and I was only able to find one loot pile. I then proceeded to throw a smoke grenade to distract them while I looted, but none of them took the bait. Finally, I decided to kill them all. I took out three before the chase started. I led them to a lake where I was finally able to clear them out. Unfortunately, due to my noobness I also lost a lot of blood in the process, and by the time I returned they had all respawned! My questions: 1. Is there an easier, less noobish way to loot these crash sites? 2. Would anyone be interested in helping me clear the zeds out in exchance for some of the loot?

Udak just saved my life, I was in a very high bandit area(hill above stary camp) with a broken leg. His buddies were providing overwatch and came under fire while he was administering morphine. Great service for sure.

Any medics online in Central Chernarus at the moment? I am in need of morphine and a blood transfusion. Will give further details via pm or steam. Thanks!

After figuring out how to add people on steam(you have to do "add friend", simple player search doesn't work) I contacted Paraskies to ask for help. He sent me to a quiet server, I gave him my coords, and he gave me his ETA. He found me in no time(in the dark) and despite my noobish inability to put away my handgun(double-tapping ctrl wasn't working) he administered the morphine that I requested and even broke me off with some extra meat. First class service for sure! Paraskies should definitely be added to the white-list imo Thanks again!

Hello everyone! I have been interested in Dayz for a few weeks, but reading this thread the other day pushed me to get it. I love what you have started here, and hope to someday persue a similar service. At the moment I am near Novy Sobor at roughly (75,73) with a broken bone. Since you all do this for fun, and since it doesn't sound like much fun to crawl for hours... I thought I'd give this a try!
