You have fun destroying other players efforts and fun. I hope you will get hacked by a real hacker. Someone who knows how to manipulate systems. Not just being an unskilled dickhead who uses cheap scripts. I really hope you will get banned really fast when the standalone is on the market. Because I am sure and I would bet a lot on it: You will NOT stop hacking. You will find an excuse which fits into your small degenerated world why it is ok for you to cheat. I hate tards like you. This was such an asshole-move from the OP. I cannot believe that someone who connects with someone else on skype and plays 3 days together can be proud of such a horrible deed. Seriously - you thought this is a funny story? You were laughing because he likes to play with you and you killed him that way? What kind of person are you? Why does such a move make you happy? If you want to be a bandit, then try to rob people. Talk to them ingame - force them to drop their weapons. Take their beans. That is funny. But to kill a buddy who is connected with you through skype is so incredible cowardly. Shame on you! Such douches like you ruin that game. You did not think a second about your buddy. You had no reason to betray him and the worst thing about it - you come to these forum and think you will be celebrated for your poor behaviour. I hope you get hacked all the time. This is really funny. Just try not to look as a player. Try to look at it like a producer or developer. Don't kill me now but..... ArmA was dead. If you look at the numbers (conv. rate, CCUs, KPIs...) it is surely a niche product. Everybody who says someone who buys this game only because of DayZ is an idiot - is just extremely dumb. This mod brings ArmA back into the selling ranks. This is very good for BI (I am sure the accountings department opens every day a bottle of champaign because of this mod). It is just sad, that such elitist jerks look down on players who support BI with their money. ArmA is a good game, but it is surely nothing for the mainstream. So if there are new players who like to try ArmA should be helped and not dissed. That is really sad. And to say that hordes of cheaters are coming because of DayZ is dumb. If someone is responsible for the hackers - then it is the problem of the coders and devs. They are the ones who messed it up. Why the heck are so much of the programmed data not hardcoded? Why is it so easy for all those script kiddies to hack in that game? Do not blame the DayZ players - blame the devs! And, just as a short foresight, be patient all you super-tactical hardcore special ArmA simulation pros: DayZ will be standalone and you can play ArmA with your few elite club members. So everyone is pleased. There is too much hatred going on!

Hey Hetstaine, nice post. I like your story with the added screenshots. Got my beanzzzzzz :) Damn hackers - but it was a funny group! And very nice to share the extra weapon with this guy. I also have a bandit skin (I am the sniper in my clan) and it is cool that you did not kill him on sight.

I love Sniper Rifles! So my preferred weapon is the SVD. Integrated Rangefinder, nice camoflage. But due to all those ALT-F4 players I only use .50 cals. When the ALT-F4 quitter prevention is applied I will switch to "real" anti-personnel sniper rifles like the SVD or the M24

QQ - I am a movement noob and I do not use cover properly and because of my dumb playstyle I am getting sniped all the time....... So I want to have a zombie free server! Because those damn Zeds always disturb my looting routes. .... ah and I want to have a server where no one is allowed to shoot. A hatchet only server and I want to have.....blahblah. This thread is completely ridiculous. Sometimes you get sniped, but not too often. It just depends on your playstyle and if you move carefully and avoid open fields you have not more problems with snipers than with any other player who wants to kill you. So, stop bitching about snipers. And by the way - why aren't you crying about thermal weapons? With them you nearly have a wallhack. Just think about it and you can open another thread....

I am a sniper in my clan. We (the spotter and me) are providing overwatch to our mates. If someone comes into their vicinity I report him and wait for the extermination order. If the squad leader gives the order to kill - the guy is dead. So I am not killing for fun - I am just obeying orders ;)

This is a really sad story. I cannot believe that you find it funny to make a kid cry. Why do you like it to piss a player really off? The more such actions you do, the more people will not play the game – so the bottom line of your deeds is killing your own game fun because people will stop continue playing. And it is really strange how you get your fun out of the game. If you would behave like a bandit, it would be cool. If you rob people or blackmail them – but what you do is just poor. You should really see a doctor. But your insane ugly avatar (and you aren’t that for sure) is enough statement. What is your SteamAcc name? What is your inGame name? Please post it and you will get some serious opponents – not some kiddies who doesn’t know how to play.

That is why I only use .50 cals. Hit those cowards with one of that bullets and he is dead. No chance to ALT-F4 and you get your kill. I am not such a big fan of .50 cals but with my favourite sniper rifles I have to hit him with a direct headshot or he will be disconnecting. And just to avoid this, my choice is the AS50. It hits, enemy dead....and when he then presses ALT-F4 it is just too late :D

Choppers are great! Our pilot brings me and my Spotter behind the enemy lines. To get your squad fast into battle it is an amazing vehicle. For reeinforcing clan troops which are under fire it is perfect, because you can gather all clan members in no time and bring them to the hotspot. I love the chopper ingame, but yes, it is sad that it vanishes after a server restart. And, hands down, nothing is cooler to get picked up in the middle of nowhere by a heli. It has a lot of style.

Really? With -75k? I am playing also a lot and quite a time. My Humanity was at its lowpoint at -10k. Come on, you were killing a lot of players and I am sure you did't regret any of those "self-defense" kills. Because you just wanted to help, but all those evil people shoot at you! Damn, are the others unfair. But I cannot believe you that you really try to play good. You was sniping a lot of other players - I am sure! So do not complain and try to be a better person ingame. Then you will get the hero skin one day in the far future. It is easy to be evil, but it is really hard to be a good guy. I also tried to play friendly. I also get shot several times. But instead of revenging my deaths at innocent survivors who cross my path I everytime tried to connect to them and to help other guys. I was also thinking of sniping some players in Cherno or Elektro - but I decided to do not....instead of YOU. So get over it and try to be good. A simple humanity reset would be too easy for players who behave like a dick. Oh, and one thing, why didn't you change your playstyle when your humanity was down to -25k, -30k....-45k.......-60k....? There everything was good and you didn't die and sniping other people was sooo much fun, right?

I have encountered that issue as well. The problem was, the server did not respond. I realized it, when I saw the Zeds standing around (but with the movement animation - just movement on one place.) I also had a yellow connection. Everything I gathered during that time was not send to the hive. So everything you loot at the time when the server is not responding, you won't get.

I would immediately switch my .50 cal to a M24, SVD or DMR IF the ALT-F4 players could not get that easy away. So I prefer a .50 cal (AS50 or M107) above every other sniper weapon. If you hit with one of these monsters no one can ALT-F4.

It is funny :) You completely ignored some basic rules in DayZ: 1.) If you are a experienced player, you should check at least the standard sniper nests. (Tall building - maybe a good spot to snipe. I know, a good sniper would avoid such exposed places. But you find a lot of sniper that love to sit in such a high nest.) 2.) Cherno and Elektro are highly dangerous places. If you go there, you should know that the survival chances in that places are small. And to be honest: if you are surprised, that you get sniped in those two cities, you have no clue about the game. 3.) Stop bitching about the .50 cals. These weapons are the only effective weapon agains those ALT-F4 players. The weapon which is extremely overpowered is the L85. With the thermal sight you nearly have a wallhack. And, like a lot of ppl say here in the thread. What did you do in the city? With your equipment you do not need anything from there, so I would also assume you were there to kill players. If I would snipe over Elektro or Cherno and I see a guy like you between the houses, be sure that I would kill you too! For just 2 reasons: 1.) Your equipment looks nice - maybe I can loot you. 2.) and more important: If someone has this equipment in a city where mainly noobs trying to get equipped with low tier weapons - you have to be a bandit and I kill you for that fact just for fun.

That is why I use a .50 cal. First I was a survivor - a good guy. But always when I tried to be nice, the answer was small - mainly exact 5,56 mm long. Then I thought to play bandit playstyle. I tried to rob ppl, but they always ALT-F4. Now I am at the point that I shoot them with my .50 cal, so they do not have the opportunity to quit. They are dead before they know what has happened. Sadly I have to kill them, instead of robbery the old fashoined way. I would love to steal the beans of another play and let him go, but this is not possible. Hopefully they will get this issue solved. No ALT-F4 anymore would make the game really exciting. And I could play a bandit without killing everyone.

I had a quite similar problem. Knocked down, my sandclock did not move and I was unconscious forever. Bleeding also stopped (My blood was stuck at 2450). So I get a friend with an epi-pen, Bloodbag and Morphine to me. He could fix me up. ESC does not work as long as you see the sandclock. No chance to respawn. Also server change does not help with this problem. Only solution known to me: Epi-pen or bullet through the head.

Why is everyone bitching about the .50 cals? The bigger problem is the "wallhack gun" - the L85 Thermal. THIS gun requires no skill. You see your enemies through thickest darkness and hiding under trees or using the surrounding nearly gives you no cover. When I have a L85 no one in my vicinity is secure. THIS gun should be removed from the game. A sniper can be avoided if you move carefully, but a person with a L85 who knows what he/she is doing you have no chance to get away. At least going to cover is senseless.

Hello Oshi, I loved to watch your channel as well as Sacriel's. It is dissapointing that you do not like to play further. I for myself enjoy the game. But I have to say I had a lot of luck, because I ran only one time into a hacker. And due to the ALT-F4 cowards I only use .50 cal for sniping. I hope they get the duping, scripting and hacking fixed very soon. I play without any cheats and it is really hard to obtain a Ghillie, NVGs or a .50 cal rifle. So the thrill is there for me. But I normally also join low pop servers, because they aren't so attractive for script kiddies. But I can fully understand your frustration. If I had a team like yours I also would like to join only high pop servers to have some good hard fights. I hope that you and your squad members find the fun again in this game, because it is really great and watching your vids also. It is sad that hackers are ruining this game.

If the issue with ALT-F4 is handled I would love to make this kind of rifles extremely rare. But until then it is the only way to kill an enemy. Under the conditions right now you only have one shot and it has to be lethal otherwise the opponent is insta quitting and in the worst case server hopping.

The answer to your question: What is my view on the crossbow? When I am looking through a Sniperscope and see your crossbow, my view is very good. And your life will be very short. If I have to use the crossbow for myself I hate it. The weapon is not good. Ok, it is silent. But it makes no damage, reload time is crap and every bolt takes a place in the backpack = useless.

I have to say this guy is an a**h***. But on the other hand you guys trusted a complete strange person who has a real problem, and you knew it! (Quote: Every minute he wanted to blow shit up, and shoot his Gun in the air and at everything he saw wasting our ammo.(...)But for the 2 odd hours he was with us he constantly wanted us go and do shit like run around in Elektro and kill the Fresh spawned for fun.) Guys, c'mon, seriously - you had a trigger-happy-newbie-killing psycho in your team. But see it positive, you learned something for the future: Do NOT trust a "i-wanna-blow-everythings-up"-Guy. Those ppl are impatient and when something takes too long, his aggro will turn against you!
