Does anyone know what the system specs will be? I want to buy a new rig for the standalone which should not be too expensive but it should fit to play the game with at least 30 fps.

You play FPS since 11 years? And you are 16? So you started to play FPS with FIVE years? Really, bro?

If I am alone I walk and do not use any cars or other vehicles. You are spotted to fast and you make a lot of noise. If I am with my squad we would secure the area and one or two are getting the needed parts to get it running again.

When I needed a break of DayZ, I tried Takistan Life Revolution. And I was baffled - fantastic! I also bought Arma 2 only because of DayZ, but this game has so many to offer. I will stick with DayZ SA, but ArmA is a really good game and very immerse. And for all the flamers who are bitching about buying ArmA for DayZ: You should be old enough to realize you buyed a game for a free mod. No one forced you to buy it. So don't cry and be happy to have a good game for a low price. I am surely not regretting that I buyed ArmA. With that I got a great mod which I always wanted to have and I support Bohemia. That is fine to me.

Yeah, but in original DayZ is also a complete overpowered weapon - the L85. My squad found one yesterday - we put it into a Zombie body and hid it. I really hope these kind of weapons (Gauss, Thermal) won't be in the standalone. The really hard sniper rifles like the .50cals could stay - they are extremely powerful, and this little advantage of these sniper rifles is ok in my opinion.

Yep, that Gauss Rifle is just ridiculous. C'mon, there is zero skill needed to operate that gun. Step one: Get enemy in crosshair Step two: Pull the trigger Step three: profit..... No bulletdrop, one hit kill. lolz

Frankie is great! I like his voice and he pronounces everything clear. Also easy to understand for a non native-speaker. He also puts a lot of love and effort into his vids. His playstyle is also very good (skill + humanity). And if he is happy if he gets recognized - this is what he earned through his videos! So let him enjoy this!

It is ridiculous how the admins behave. No you should not be banned for that action. The y were just upset that you fragged their whole convoi. Little kiddie admins. Forget it and get another server with mor mature players.

I can understand that ppl are playing "only Daytime"-servers. The adjustment of brightness and gamma does not work properly on my rig. Everything is black. I even cannot see doors when I am standing in front of them. I started to play with the flashlight on. Great feeling and very tense - then *Bammmmm* dead by DMR+NVG. This happened to me now quite a few times - if you have no NVGs you are seen from miles away (I found NVGs one time during my complete playtime in DayZ). Would be no problem, but the shoot on sight policy of most players make this just no fun to play at night without NVGs. That has nothing to do with carebear style - I have no problem with dying. But NVG snipers are really pesty. I cannot check the environment outside my flashlight range - but I am pointing out like a sore thumb with my light during the night. Realism is nice - but when you get sniped all the time it is just no fun. I only play nighttime servers if I would have NVGs. If not: I select daytime servers or sw3itch as soon as it becomes too dark.

In the woods I am careless. Running straight into the direction of my goal. In towns it depends: If I see Zeds spawning upon my arrival I just run through the town, loot and get the hell out of it. If Zeds are already spawned and I suppose another player is in the area I sneak and be very careful (crouch, prone, all the time in cover) And the better my equipment is, the more paranoid I become. If I would possess a L85 I would scan all the time.

LOL @ Electroban! So it is easy to sneak on other players crying friendly to shoot them. Get over it - it is good if guys like you will not play the standalone. I like the idea of marking assholes if they are acting like ones. You would also cry if there would be a server message "electroban is a playerkiller - everyone who sees him: shoot on sight!" This would fit into your picture of "realism" The police is searching you with their last radio. Would that be better? So just stop whining if you play like a sociopath - you will get treated as one. Be happy only to get a bandit skin and not a huge purple dildo skin. Go QQ at another place. Please close that thread.

The idiot is posting now, to blame the others like a cow. Was running on Namalsk like dumb, a shooter spots him - shoots like numb. The idiot is fast like a bird, the other is aiming like a turd - so what happened surprisingly? One is dead - the other free..... I am watching Sacriel and Squad as well as Frankie. Both have their own playstyles and that is good! @Sacriel and Squad: They are playing like a military squad. Good communication, great teamwork and watch them is really fun. They are killing nearly everyone who crosses their paths. That is their style and it is ok for me. Watching their streams and vids are fun and I like them. (As well as Shannon - she has a nice voice :) ) And if someone does not like them, just do not watch their content. This squad (Oshi, Squirrel, Fhorpe,nGotie) are cool guys who are just playing (the hard way). Stop picking on them. Sac is a good leader and I would have no problem with his kind of commands. And when you are in an immerse fight and you get killed - of course you are ranting about the guy who killed you. Everybody does - and if Sacriel is frustrated to get killed he might grumble about cheaters, lags and so on. But this should not be taken too serious. If I get killed I also rant and hate the guy who owned me. One thing I have to add: Killing unarmed people (Did you ever heard of the Geneva convention? - Yes - Me not *BANG*) is not correct. Especially when you are a good player. That move was cowardly and I was a little dissapointed by Sacriel at that time. But, honestly, I also have made some things during DayZ which was also not ok. @Frankie: He and Jack are trying to be the good ones. Ok, maybe they are not on heavy pop servers, maybe they have to edit a lot, but the story they are playing is great fun to watch! Mostly it is harder to be good than evil. If Frankie would come up to me and says that I have to drop my weapon it would not work out - I would try to kill them and would be probably die in combat. I think most ppl would react like me. So Frankie has to try this several times before he gets one who is cooperating. And there is nothing wrong with it. He wants to tell a story and this is his way to do it. It is entertaining and well edited. I think there is space for all those playstyles in DayZ. If you move carefully and watch your surrounding you have a fair chance to avoid getting slaughtered by Team Sac. As well as you could get killed by Frankie - if he thinks you are a bandit who would not surrender. Life and death are very close together in DayZ. I love these very well made Videos from both teams. (Sacriel and Frankie) So finally: The Squad should play like they like - they are very entertaining and a great team. As well as Frankie is. Everyone has their own niche in this big DayZ-world. PS: The Bandit Camp Attack from the Squad is a great idea! This player driven content is what makes DayZ so special. Sadly I did not get the info that they were doing it - I would have loved to be a part of it. So please do not rant against this idea (self advertisment and blabla). It is a cool story and quite a lot of fun. This hating against different Youtubers is just ridiculous. They are doing a really good job in entertaining others. So: Thank you Sacriel, Oshi, Fhrope, nGotie, Squirrel and Shannon for a good time watching you play. Thank you Frankie for a good time watching you also play.

It is not silly - he is speaking American English. There you pronounce the letter Z like "zee" it is deriving from a late 17th century English dialectal form. If you speak British English you would pronounce the letter Z like "zed". So either DayZee as well as DayZed is correct.

My choice of underrated weapons are either the M14 or the Lee Enfield. Both are viable weapons with a good stopping power.

AS50 + L85 + SD pistol. I am the scout/overwatch in our team. This is the best setting for me in my role right now. When I am moving alone I would choose: M4 CCO SD + M24/DMR + strong sidearm (M1911)

Done. The last queston was irritating...I never look at the ethnic group. I just divide between Zeds and human. Zeds = definitely hostile / human = most likely hostile.

I also heard rumors about December this year. I hope we get some undeads under the christmas tree. I am waiting sooo badly for this game. (and just to make clear: WarZ is no competition for DayZ,)! I only want to play DayZ standalone. If we won't get the game until December I will turn into a zombie. And Rocket is completely responsible for that! ;)
