Maybe give the people another option. For example in TLR you are able to knock out people with a pistol. Then you could sneak up, knock him unconcious and then rob him.....normally NO ONE will drop his backpack and weapon without a fight! Even if they have no chance on survival....

My char on the main hive is also that old - mainly I play on priovate hives. I got everything on my char. But I am pretty sure I will get killed also as soon as I log back in. I even had a L85 thermal, but this one was dissapeared. At least I have everything else (Rangefinder, NVGs, AS50, Ghillie etc...) But I am sorry for your loss.

Yeah - the OP is completely right! Goddamn it! Why use my brain? It is so complicated this navigation thingy....and btw please remove the zombies from the game. Everytime I walk in the middle of the street they are coming to attack me. This is annoying. Oh, and please put out this strange behaviour of weapons - they are hurting so much if another player shoots at me....and I want to have pancakes! QQ

I have to agree with mzltv. You cannot eat money. You cannot hunt with money. So, what would you do with money? A can of beanZ would be far more worth than a shiny paper with a printed face on it. (No I am not talking about a Justin Bieber poster ^^). Trade is the only solution if the world is so fucked up. Trade in form of food, manpower or working materials.

I have to say, I buyed the game for DayZ. But I was fed up with the hacking issue and thought to myself: Hm, I got this complete ArmA 2 game. What has it to offer? And then I tried the different mods of it and it is incredible! Try Wasteland, Takistan Life Revolution, ArmA2 A.C.E. .... Now I am not playing DayZ anymore (until the SA comes out) but I play everyday one of the different mods. I have to say this game is worth every penny I invested in it! So, my advice, if you like a shooter with a lot of different modes - from hardcore realistic (ACE + ACRE) over GTA-style (TLR) to more deathmatching style (Wasteland) - you won't be dissapointed by this game. Check steam sales there you get ArmA2:Combined Operations for around 25 bucks. To sum a long text up: Get it! It is completely worth it!

When I started the game months ago, I surely would've help him. But things changed ^^ He has a broken leg: What do you do with horses if they have a broken leg? Yep, you shoot it. Yes, I know, there is a difference! (When I am approaching the horse I will NOT scream "friendly, friendly!" :) )

I make a pause in DayZ and play again Wasteland, TLR or ArmA2:ACE. The reason are the hackers. I got killed/teleported/transformed so much that I had to take a break.

I am a PC gamer and I will never switch to consoles. PC Games are (just in my opinion) way better than any console titel. (btw. I play on a PC NOT on a Mac ^^) Games like ArmA2 (FPS in general), MMOs and RTS are not playable on consoles. This are my fav kind of games. So I stick to my lovely gaming rig! (I only use consoles if I have a desk which is not standing perfeclty balanced - console under one desk foot and then it is fine / Or I use it as a door stopper, especially the design of the XBox is great for this purpose. For balcony doors I would suggest a PS3.)

It would be great if it is hard to survive - but I hope weapons won't be too hard to organize. (This is just my personal opinion, and I will sure not QQ if it is really hard - also with finding proper weaponry). I like the realism that you have in ArmA2 ACE. I love my Ghillie suit (nothing suits me better than a ghillie suit!) and a sniperrifle - and if I have to search for it for weeks, then be it so. But diseases and whatever (rabies on animals, Diarrhea because of drinking uncleaned water, and so on) would be really immerse. I like it if it is hard. And you can be sure there will be a lot of whining in these forums. But I really do not care. If you want to play DayZ you should have some kind of frustration immunity. (You need it already at some points in the game nowadays / e.g. the tree killed me! The door broke my leg....). Maybe with a hard and extreme environment the community will not be so aggressive anymore. (KoS mentality gone? Please let me dream a little ^^)

I am sniping a lot (ArmA2, ACE, Wasteland and of course DayZ) and I have to agree with the other guys. I recommend to use the AS50. Reasons: 1.) It is really quiet - your opponents have a lot more problems to estimate your position. (Compared to the M107 which I like to call the "Death Star" - hear it and you know why ^^) 2.) Damage is higher (if you use the NATO rounds) 3.) You can use the M107 rounds in the AS50 - more bullets, but lower damage. You should use the NATO rounds against vehicles and the M107 for soft targets (it is a OHK with both ammo types). 4.) Max range for the AS50 is 1600 m (M107 is on 1200 m) The MilDot issue is known - I think the reason for that is, that the AS50 is a British weapon. (They use another unit of length instead of meters). But if you are playing a lot you will learn to estimate the distance to your target. Summary: If you can choose between the AS50 and the M107 - the AS50 is winning in all categories. Noise, damage and range.

If I get my Ghillie suit I am happy. Nothing suits me more than a Ghillie suit! Period!
