Optimisation in this game is pretty much non-existent... But then again... ALPHA Its weird how I can reply to all the "troubleshooting" threads with one word huh? Im kinda feel like im being indoctrinated into this whole alpha thing :P

Alt+Tab into steam overlay...Open web browser... type in dayzdb... open first link =WIN I also usually know where I spawn and can recognise the landscape frm playing since the mod... you get used to it

WELL the game has become totally unplayable for me at the moment due to constant random freezing... So I dont know... I just feel this game is always takign one step forward and 2 steps back... This Apha "wall" everone puts up is gettign retarded... people have obviouly forgotten about the mod which I recon could be considered pre-alpha and would have boosted the alpha phase which hasnt really done When I think about the "competition" and how they motoring in terms of development aswell as new ideas etc, I just cant help get the feeling that DayZ is stagnating... who's to say H1Z1 isnt beter than DayZ? I wouldn't know and cant tell you yet. But if it is better and the game feels smoother/more solid and they release sooner... I dont have to tell you which game I'll be playing... DayZ will always be the game that made this "genre" popular , and will always have a special place in my heart... and maybe I'll be able to get the same or similar experience from a different game... but right now... a big fat... ... ... MEH!

The sound of your voice and the way you speak kinda reminds me of Michael Cera... uncanny. Maybe its just me?

I have this problem everynow and then... buildings are a plain cube shape with low res textures... characters are low poly as hell (PS1 type gfx lol) What it looks like to me, is that everything gets renders at its lowest LoD (Level of Detail...eg: close assets=High detail=LoD1.... far assets= low Detail = LoD3 ... something like that) and somehow the game is fuckign that up... Supporting my theory... when entering buildings ... the interior is missing. except for loot and collision meshes, can still walk up stairs etc and you can look out of the inside or the building... walls are a sinlge face

Yep I have tis too... as well as the CONSTANT FREEZING... have to end task in task mngr Gets blocky = Everything renderd at their lowest LoD Also when in buildings the inside, its just the lowest LoD with no interior, only colliosion meshes

Sorry no help, but.... +1 I have this exact problem, and its annoying as fuck Ive got a pretty decent brand new rig (watch dogs @ ultra) and have had to turn everything on low... im also running at 2560x1080 I think the cause somehow is either Vsync and/or anti-aliasing with alpha to coverge...because when I disable those I can go slightly longer before my game freezes. Ive also noticed A LOT of people have this same problem and have never been able to find an official response to why this is happening? Ive played more than 600 hrs on the mod and SA combined, so im not sure if this freezing was from an update or because of my new rig? Anyway, its unbearable and i cant jam DayZ with my buddies anymore :/ PLEASE FIX!!!!!
