Did the smoke look tall, thin and black (heli) or big, round and grey (gas station) ?

Theres nothing really in focus ... would probably be a better idea to have the player and rocks have a solid silhouette, in which case the tree and far background could stay blurred as it is now. I also think the dayz logo it too big and in the wrong place. It blocks out the nice vista/sun you are trying to capture... Good attempt for being your first try, if you are interested in this type of thing stop using MSpaint asap and give GIMP a try, its the freeware version of Photoshop

Actually it looks like the arms and leg UV are overlapped, so they are "sharing" the same texture space, Its pretty common technique in game dev ...This is done to save texture space,so you can have bigger UVs (still fitting onto one map) thus ending up with better res textures. Also why are you even complaining about this? I can guarantee you if you hadn't seen this pic you would never have spotted this ingame...

inb4 alpha :P But yeah, sound is broken all round Random soft-drink cans opening and when no one is around... Zombie sound that follow you but there is no zombie for miles... i cant hear my buddy shooting his gun and he is right next to me But hey doors work with new sfx, so we got that goin' for us, which is nice :/

I dont think we need more towns... what we need is more points of interest... like green mountain, devils castle, ship wreck by Rify... more "fun" stuff in a way. A village is a village is a village its all the same and it gets boring. Off the top of my head... A Cathedral/Cloister ... A golf course/ driving range... an abandoned amusement park...really huge mountain with snow at the top, with cable cars...bridge (like in taviana),...I know its not all "lore friendly" Im just throwing ideas out there... I also think the south eastern area of the map is DEAD... does anyone even go there? Its so full of forest and nothing really special there. Personally I travel between NWAF and Cherno 90% of the time, if not its Novo and NWAF. Id like to see an Big city near Shakhovka/Staroye... I think that would liven up the SE area. Also have some heli crashes spawn all over the map not just on the west It will make people move around more. Lastly I miss the barracks at Balota and the tents at Stary... they need to bring them back :( -

If you have an SSD and your games on a HDD, you might want to consider creating a "split" steam library. Then move DayZ your SSD... I did this and have noticed the performance is slightly better. -

Zombies are my biggest gripe with this game and they NEED fucking attention ASAP! They are supposed to be the biggest threat in the game or one of the the main focuses of the game in my eyes, but right now they are just really annoying and broken. Zombies have super eagle vision, can see for miles! Zombies have Xray vision, can see through buildings! Zombies have advanced Ancient Alien technology, can phase through solid matter (doors/walls/floors)! "Aliens" Zombies have stanley knives as claws... from pristine to ruined gear in one hit! Zombies are super stealthy ninjas! Cant tell you how many times I've turned around and shat my pants because a zombie was there... didn't hear him grunt or footsteps or anything. Zombies are relentless... they will hunt you till you FOREVER! Zombies are kung-fu masters, evading attacks like pros, or the dance of death as I like to call it. Zombies only natural predator is the lesser spotted Firefighter axe....Splitting axe, Pitchfork, Crowbar, Pickaxe are useless and cannot pierce a zombies thick hide. Need I go on? And don't tell me everything in the game has to be in the game before they start fixing things... what does the AI code have to do with adding new environments and items? -

So its obvious why they do this... to get better spawns. It happened to me and a buddy yesterday, he was a brand new spawn with no gear BEGGING us to kill him... we tried losing him but kept bothering us... then started punching us trying to provoke us to kill him. So we did what any other kind-hearted soul would do... We shot him in the leg (broken bone) patched him up and handcuffed him and force fed and gave him water all nice and healthy like... then proceeded to run way. These guys dont belong in the game, its not what the game is about. I hope his death was slow and painfull...

Well its good there are some mixed reactions... In all honesty if he hadnt bothered us we would have left him alone... he could have easliy killed himself. The way he begged and pleaded for us to kill him just made the fact that we actually didnt kill him but rather incapacitated him with nothing to do but wait to die was even sweeter. It was funny as hell... we were still lolling 15 mins later wondering if he was still alive :D *fuckthepolice
