I have spawned stary a couple of times. Wasn't real keen on the idea as at the time it was heavily populated with snipers. I definately think they should spread the spawns out right up to and including at least Berenzhino

So Im in a server watching side chat and some guy is dieing like every two minutes. He complaining that its a hacker most of the time but zombies sometimes. I figure a hacker wouldn't just focus on one guy on the coast so I made fun of the situation. Im sitting on top of a hill trying to expend some sniper rounds with no luck as there is no one around my area and I want to switch back to assualt rifle for closer quarters fights, which I find my fun. Next thing I see a guy just appear about 50m in front of me. There is absolutely no way he did it legit. There were no trees, it was a rock face leading up the the hill Im on with no grass or anything. Then he dissappears and im like k maybe I should leave. Then grenades start coming in. One clips me and I pass out. I figure no way Im dieing to this so Iog and go on an empty server. But the knockout timer resets and Im sitting there watch my blood go down and down. I stop bleeding at 618 blood :) Closest save ever. And no, I don't usually combat log. I only do it if the player is straight up obvious hacking. Whats the closest you've come to death without dieing?

I thought it was there to troll me into wasting more of the DMR ammo for my M14.

If surviving becomes more difficult I can only see myself being more keen to hunt down, kill and loot other players. I don't really think it will help much, if at all. What the game needs is other more enjoyable aspects to keep me occupied. Acheivements based off contributing to other players would be an incentive for me. All there is right now is a Hero skin and theres no much point aiming for that, Im down like 500k humanity and I really cbf walking, driving or flying around gaining 250 humanity for ever blood bagging of a player who will likely shoot me in the back anyways. I tried this and have to sit in a server for hours trying to find anyone who wants help. One thing Ive found helps is sidechat. Theres a few servers Ive been on that have sidechat enabled and it tends to build a bit more of a community in that server. The one thing I enjoy in this game atm is PvP. It keeps the adrenaline running. I could lose everything or I could gain a little. Zombies are no threat. If I can't get to someone I will go loot food/water/ammo myself and wait until I can kill someone. Id love to work together with other people but I don't see any incentive. I don't think simply "tweaking settings/difficulty" would be anywhere near enough to make it worthwhile. I think the only thing that is really needed is game features, objectives and achievement based incentives that will keep me occupied and not killing.

So dont spend all your time in Cherno and Elektro. Problem solved.

Its wierd right. I do that too. I hate the taste of pepsi but I like Coca cola. When Ive got a choice Ill drop and Pepsi I have and replace it with the coke.

Yeah they have gotten rid of some of the extreme hacks. Teleporting and ESP are still rampant. Deal with those and we have a decent game.

Theres a big learning curve in this game. I see alot of people complaining that they are frustrated about being killed as a new spawn. I used to do the same thing. Now I get frustrated that everyone is sitting on the coast playing farmville in cherno, Elektro or Calamar. So I go kill them. Hopefully they will learn to defend themselves and not spend so much time in high value areas farming because zombies are not threatening.

Wouldn't [AssHole] be a step up from a murderer? The way I see it: Hero - Will help anyone and kill only bandits. Medic - Will actively look to help players suffering from status effects. Transporter - will drive around escorting people. Survivor - Just playing to survive. Rarely kills and only in self defence or for necessity. Bandit - someone who kills for gear rather than loot it. Murderer - somone who just kills with no intent on looting you since they already have everything they want. Asshole - He'll kill you then he'll go try and find you and kill you again when you respawn. When your offline he will go around trying to destroy tents and vehicles. Will pretty much do anything he can because griefing other players is what gives him pleasure.

Personally, at this stage, I think the key is going to be with the "party" feature that Rocket has been contemplating. Really I don't see a way around it. Either your a lone wolf or your in a clan. If your in a clan your working together with your clanmates. If your a lone wolf your all alone. Ive really seen the PvP decrease in this game lately and its mostly the casuals who have stayed around playing. Its kind of getting lonely as a bandit to be completely honest. I hunt down groups of players and nobody wants to fight. They want to work together. If things keep going the way they are I may very well give up on being a bandit and go farm loot and repair vehicles and help people and do all those social things. Its just no fun getting into a firefight with people who are just trying to protect themselves and would rather be teaming up.

I love clan battles. Its hard to find clans though. I camp out the main areas (NWAF, NEAF, Prison etc), but the PvP doesn't happen enough. In some servers Im in I get a little frustrated because there doesn't appear to be anyone north at all and going by side chat everyone is running around Cherno/Elektro/Calamar looting. So I go south to ruin their farmville party.

- Rocket is unlikely to support custom maps. - Rocket is supporting customization of the Cherno map. He wants new additions and features to be added to his mod as he wants to focus on developing the standalone. - Rocket doesn't support Lingor, as its not his, but hes somewhat overlooking it as it is keeping the player base active with different/new content. - Playing Lingor was frowned upon by the DayZ team at one stage but since its so popular and because of the current situation in the game its becoming more "acceptable".

You can thank the game design. I run North and completely gear up. Kill one or two on the way to speed up the process. By time Im north I have everything I need. I get bored of sitting North by myself with little to do so I go and kill people on the coast.

Beware that cherno grass. Its genetically modified. Not only will it bug your range finders, but it will stop 7.62 rounds dead in their tracks.

Dont announce the server your playing on until after its done. Guaranteed if a hacker finds out they will be hitting that server with everything they can.

Try a different server? I only have this happen on some servers, which I don't join. INB4 but its my server.

Once you change any settings, the debug and status effects will reset no matter what your actual status is. I just keep debug on so I can see if I am losing blood. If I am, probably means I need to eat or drink, if I am not coughing.

Tell him if he finds it so important to find and ban hackers in his server he should stop being a lazy dickhead and check the logs.

Your right. Apparently there are over 300,000 firearms owned in the country (around 1 firearm per 100 people). Very shortly, once this new deal goes through with the US, there will be more US Marines in Australia than Australia has troops enlisted. Invasion would never be a major problem though because of our goegraphical position in the world and technology among other things. Yeah its really different over here. I can literally only remember one person Ive ever known in my entire life who has owned a firearm (a 303 he doesn't own it anymore, but used it to put down animals when he owned a farm in Western Australia). Ive had a fair amount of experience with weapons/firearms because I was in the Army. I believe Cadets can also fire weapons in controlled situations as early as 15 (which I also think is too young in any circumstance). You can join the army when your 17 with parents permission or 18 without. Ever since the mid 90's when Martin Bryant went on a killing spree and killed 35 people in Port Arthur we have had pretty strict gun regulation. Theres no fully automatic weapons.

Welcome to admins in private servers. Particularly the clan ones. Something about them. They don't like to get beaten in a firefight.

I figured your first thread was bait. Especially when not only did you pick Elektro, but the school which is an easy snipe. I don't go for invitational fights though. Ive gotten into this situation on a couple of occasions now and found that in each case it involved hackers who would kill you in really obvious ways. So its a rule for me now not to go into a fight when ive been invited to do so.

Ive been seeing this happen quite a bit. Ive seen admins do this. I seen Rhino Crunch do it in a video cast. Apparently admins can respawn in the exact spot they died with the same gear/kit. Is this correct? A while back I seen a player who I was about to kill get dropped by a sniper. I took my time coming forward (intending on looting his body for the sniper rifle so I could kill the sniper) and right in front of me he respawns and starts running. He runs about 20 metres and I kill him. Im seeing it quite frequently though. Its happening so much though, that I can't imagine Im running into the server admin that much. Is there a hack allowing players to respawn fully geared now right where they died? I hope not, it makes looting problematic when the guy you just killed can respawn and drop you right away.

I assumed you were making the point that just because somebody has a radio, doesn't mean they are a hacker. I was reinforcing this point by saying that they can also be legitimately picked up so there is no relation between someone who has a radio and a hacker.
