I never said I wanted it for "free", I merely wanted to know if it is officially open source and if we are allowed to mod it or not. Just because there are "others" (mods) doesn't mean it's legal, maybe just tolerated?

How do other "dayz mod" mods pop up here and there then? And what about that repo ? :o

Hey guys, after looking a while I couldn't find anything, is dayz (mod) now officially open source? License? etc.? Google didn't help finding stuff except the github repo. Thanks in advance.

It's just funny that all these die-hard-core fans (you see waht I did there), wen't full rage on skills in WarZ and people who suggested skills for DayZ. Now though everyone seems to be convinced it's a great thing.... (Someone in this forum explicitly stated something like this would happen don't know who it was though)

If people would get instabanned everyone could do it ONCE max. It would drive people away as they can't spawn truck-loads of stuff on different servers. Think about it a little.

I agree high morale horse and shit. I would keep everygun. Because you know it's alpha and stuff needs to be sorted out anyways, when retail comes and it goes live for real I'll be nice..... well maybe.

While doing that our gaming expierence is ruined and bohemia does make a quick buck because more people got banned (instead of instabanning) :)
