    So then just make it so anyone who plays their character on a PVE server can never again play on a PVP server until their character dies. You are too quick to throw out "terrible idea"... are you 13 or something?

    World of Warcraft has both PVP and PVE servers. The way they do it : Once you play on a PVE server, you can never again go back to a PVP server with that character. Problem solved.

    Oh, please. Day Z is just an open world zombie apocalypse survival game. THAT ALONE, THAT GENRE RIGHT THERE, would attract millions of players on that premise alone. Don't give Rocket credit for fans loving an ALREADY established genre that has had hundreds of movies and TV shows, with recent ones like Walking Dead and I am Legend and others.... The problem is, there are no 1st person open world MMORPG zombie survival games yet. Day Z is the first to do it, even though it's a mod based on Arma II. Give Rocket credit for doing that, but not for being a genius or creating a new genre. Let's be realistic. People are mostly here for the established zombie survival open world game, not for anything Rocket invented himself.

    Yes, I like this idea. Slow the zombies down and make headshots the only way to kill them.

    If Rocket is really this anal about changing things and creating worlds where more people can have fun, then someone else will come along and make this game the right way. It's starting to sound lke Rocket is the wrong man for the job. This is not his creation. This is basically Walking Dead the video game. Or I am Legend. This is not his. So..... someone else can just make this game with the ability to create servers that are just PvE, some that are all PvP, so people who want to play that, can. I see nothing wrong with that. Let people have their fun.

    This suggestion does not change basic PVP structure. You can still kill whoever you want. You are just mad that people won't trust you anymore if you decline friendly shout. and this mod is getting popular simply because it's a zombie post-apocalyptic open world game. "Walking Dead" video game. But it has it's flaws, and many people are not happy that we have to play KILL ON SIGHT because we simply can't trust anyone, and that sucks. Many players want to be able to work together with strangers they meet on their voyage......

    Why should I have to specify the cone/radius? It's an insignificant detail. The gun can be lowered. They can turn friendly fire off. They can make you a martian who can't kill earthlings. It doesn't matter how it works, the point is the bigger picture that you can't harm that player. Are you a troll?

    This is a screenshot of your signature, Mr. Co-Leader of the Anti-Human Terror Crew : One hour is an example. So an enemy is nearing you, and your solution is to shoot at your friend so the bullets kill him and the enemy? Instead of just moving to the side? Yes, but that would only create situations where the player will then end his friendship with you after about 45 minutes of surviving with you, and say goodbye and go off on his own path before the 1 hour is up so you can't kill him. Survivors don't have to be together forever. And yes, you COULD kill him after 1 hour of being together. No different than what you do now, killing people after 1 second or 1 hour. Anyway, another griefer spotted.

    Exactly. This feature still keeps the fear of dying to players... but adds the option of at least cooperating with other friendly strangers you may encounter.. the way the game is now, it's not feasible/palatable for mass audiences. People WANT to be able to cooperate with other survivors sometimes... and you simply can't do that with the way the game is now. Shoot on sight is the only way to play....and that needs to change.

    This thread brought all of the backstabbing griefers like flies to honey. All of them running here to say how much fun they have backstabbing unsuspecting players. This game has to refuse to cater to these types of griefers if it wants to succeed.
