Been playing with a friend, just the two of us, for a while now. We don't play every day, but when we do play we've often found ourselves feeling like we need some more support. We use Mumble to communicate and could use some mature, reliable buddies to group up with and roam Chernarus. You'd obviously need a mic and have Mumble installed. We're in our mid twenties, it'd be cool to have someone close in age. Anyway. Go ahead and post/PM your SteamID if you're interested. My second time playing DayZ I came across a heli crash site with my friend. It was literally in the middle of nowhere -- and the server had just rebooted. We looted it almost completely. We both had M4A1 CCO SD rifles with an MP5 or Bizon in the BP. As we were proudly strutting away we were both shot dead by a sniper who neither had the capacity to take what we had looted, nor likely the need. Yesterday, I found my first ghillie suit. My friend ran into Novy Sobor to get some food/drink and I laid down in the shade of a tree to keep something of an eye on him. I was shot in the back twice. Several days ago, my friend spawned on the beach and was picked off within 15 seconds by a sniper. If this is how the game ought to play out, then it sounds like it's an environment where anything goes. Being killed for sport is not my idea of dying honorably. So far this game has been pretty cutthroat.

I updated everything with DayZ Commander, couldn't even connect to servers. Rolled back with Six Launcher: never ending loading screen again. I was playing fine for several hours earlier. This game. >:(

This method does not work for me. Specifically for launching the game from my Steam library. I made sure "Program Files (x86)" was used since in the op the file path is wrong being Steam isn't a 64-bit application.
