There are only 2 ways to make friends in DayZ 1. You meet someone who also only has a flashlight you guys team up. 2. You get a gun, hold someone at gun point, talk to them and decide for yourself if you can trust them. Obviously if you haven't shot them yet, there is a chance you might be friendly. ========= Here is what I do. I take my fully geared self up and down the coast, and talk to the fresh spawns, I can tell by someones voice if they are friendly or not and 90% of the time I'm right. Ive recruited alot of people that way and made alot of friends.

I cant figure out how people are adding YouTube video's to their post. I copy/paste a youtube video, and it just turns it into a link, how do I make it into a video?

...about DayZ. Humor me. In my dream, I saw civilian vehicles with armor plates that players put on themselves. These vehicles had interchangeable slots in the interior like switching out the bed of a truck for a medical ambulance, or a machine gun. The vehicle mechanic system was even more complex than the medical and nutrition system. There were custom built bases with sandbags, gates, barbed wire, hesco's, and guard towers. Towns were filled with Zombies, so many that veteran players banned together to help fresh spawns get out of hot zones and helped them gear up. People had to actually work together to survive. The base building system was so intricate that you could build shelves, beds, bunks, armories, cafeterias, grow your own crops inside your base. It was amazing.

I like the idea of a 30 second wait timer to log out, but what happens if you crash or Alt+f4? I say your character has to stay there, handcuffed for 60 seconds.

I dont get where everyone is getting this "everyone is KOS" from? 90% of the people I run into are friendly. and my ROE and the ROE for my entire clan is to only kill people if they are a threat. Most of the time I run into a survivor, give them food and meds, maybe a pistol if I have an extra and send them on their way. Even when I don't have a gun, and I run into some1 else with a gun they are usually friendly, I have only been shot at twice. I have yet to die from another player, the only thing that has killed me are glitches, and the server wipe. -
To be more accurate, we were at Rifty, the ship. We had 1 guard tower (it was a deer stand). And the sandbags only did enough to cover the part of the ship that was tore in half, with razor wire about 3 feet out from that. The rest of the sandbags and the other things around the base were very... whats the word... slim? Anyways some of the conversations my clannies were saying was that you had a limited amount of build-able construction parts available to use per land unit that we owned. We had a land plot in the middle of that ship, but we were only able to build like 10 units within our area. We were maxed out, and someone wanted to take down the guard tower to add another sandbag wall to the back of the ship.

Also the most common weapon in the game was an AK.. .. but there were many different versions of the AK.

No! I think Combat loggers should be forced to relog into the server that they just logged out of within a small time frame, and be handcuffed. If they do not, then there character gets deleted and they are on probation. -

Health system - How many bullets does it take

Honestly I don't think its the medical system, I think the bullets are not that accurate. Witch would make sence with a "Badly damaged" M4. When ever I'm point blank, it only takes a few shots, or a head shot to put some1 down, but at any range past 20 feet, they seem to never die. I tested this with a few buddies, we both stood 40 feet apart and took turns shooting each other 1 bullet at a time, and only 1/5 bullets connected. before you say "you guys are bad shots". I have personally qualified expert on ever weapon the U.S. Infantry posses, and I have been playing Arma and DayZ since it came out. If I miss its not due to my ability. -
I personally think Guns Should be Even more Rare or... We should have more improvised weapons

Instead of making guns harder to get, just make server hopping hard. i.e: Private Hives, or what ever rocket was talking about to stop server hoping. If you play the game legit and do not server hop, then you will be at a disadvantage and be killed. -

I know this game is still in Pre-Alpha, and I know there are a lot of small things that need to be worked out. The survival aspect of this game is brilliant, it is well thought out, and intricate. It does not take much thinking to see the vision behind the survival system, I know it has some bugs, but it will only be a matter of time until it is near perfected. The UI is brilliant, and the addition of the animations. (I know still bugs, but you can get the jist of what they are trying to accomplish and you can tell it wont be long until they have them ironed out) The point is, you guys have put so much effort into the "survival" aspect, that you have almost completely neglected the "zombie" aspect. Yes, it is in alpha, I get that. It's not so much the fact that the zombies have almost no work done to them, its that there is almost no sign that the group is trying to update them. Now, I have given you guys the benefit of the doubt, there are a lot of things to work out, and you have a small team. But at least show us that you are trying to un-fuck the zombie system. I've noticed that I've never actually seen an massively online zombie game that could get the zombies correct, is it really that hard to get zombies right in an MMO? If I could vision a perfect Zombie MMO, it would be the Medical/Survival/Nutrition system of the DayZ Standalone, the Vehicle and base building abilities from the EPOCH mod, and the zombies and zombie fighting from Left 4 Dead. Does anyone else agree with my vision, or am I alone in this?

Even this post was vauge, the only thing it confirms is that there will be more zombies, I does not state any upgrades to the zombies. Its true, that the zombies are waaay better than the mod, and even relating them to other large scale zombie games like WarZ, even then the DayZ SA zombies are better. To be honest they are probally the best zombies for any large scale game I can imagine. But still.... it does not seem like they are putting enough of a percent of their effort into making progress on the zombie's. -
1. Alternative to a tent or lock box, something new: A shelf, something you craft. When you access it, you see the different levels of the shelf in the "vicinity" tab, and items you place on a certain level will actually show up on the shelf. Adding to the realism. Q: How to you stop people from stealing? A: In Epoch you could put down a land plot, something of that same general nature. 2. Sleeping bag. It would be a tent without the ability to save items, but would help restore health. 3. Making something like the "Land Plot" system. If you do use a system similar to that, make it so if some1 server hops to that specific land plot, that they are moved out of the area. Why? in-case someone finds your base in the woods, server hops, walks inside, and hops back in. That's all I got for now.

"A few things worked out" I have read up on a lot of the development, they are always very vauge on the zombie aspect, I know they are working on them, I just would like proof of progress. -
I switched to my buddies server and everyone who switched with me ended up on the coast with no gear. Is this something to stop people from loot farming or is it a glitch?
