  1. Okay I voted for no perks or whatever without reading the thread. This was because I thought it was about adding dumb ass perk trees or whatever that I've seen people mention a few times. Adding a bullet resistant vest that reduces 9mm damage is fine, as is the damage reduction in the camo clothing. It isn't even noticeable if you're using any other type of weapon. Plus, if you're going for a PVP playstyle then the logical thing to do is cap a bandit, anyway. That or use a decent primary weapon of some kind. It's a small benefit for a large amount of effort. The problem doesn't exist for you unless you go out of your way to create it. Leave heroes alone and logically they should leave you alone too.

    Golf has everything to do with strangling someone to death. Have you ever played golf? Shit makes you want to strangle anything and everything. (Just my 2cents)

    Suicide option.

    Y'see, an "option" for suicide is already there. It is also more realistic than "a suicide button". In reality you can kill yourself through various means without a gun/knife/pills. You can jump off high things, run at zombies (like has already been pointed out), you can run through the nearest built-up area, etc. The lighthouse in Kamenka is a known hotspot to the point that I'd call it the Beachy Head or Aokigahara of Chernarus. Edit: removed some strange formatting that happened by accident.

    In order to successfully avoid snipers, one must in fact become an albatross. This means you can fly overhead and pick a server in the server-verse (the plain of existence/dimension where servers exist) where there are no snipers. Alternatively, don't run around in a known sniper hotspot.

    I am in a clan of 2 people. Only 2 because we're too elite to let other members join. With the montage maker we could expand and be the biggest clan ever and take over all the servers just like everyone else could do too if theyw ere good at the game.   15. So whilst talking to a friend, the idea of being able to move bodies came up (mainly because I was reminiscing about the opening to S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC). Hiding dead bodies is a little over-simple. Whilst I don't want that removed, I'd like to be able to drag or carry a body much like you can with a wounded soldier in regular old Arma 2. That way if you won in a gunfight with a bandit/victim you could move the body somewhere more secluded or safe to loot, or even just make it a little harder for the guy to re-gear from his own corpse. This would be especially cool if you could load up trucks, like the Ural, with dead player bodies for transport. This is the sort of thing I'd like to see in-game as I've spent a lot of time driving along the coast from the NE south and then west towards Kamenka through Elektro and Cherno. Along that route especially, there are a lot of bodies for whatever reason. I thought it would make for an entertaining scenario for someone to see a truck filled with dead players to pass by. Or better yet, if someone were to get a lucky shot and kill the driver to see what the trucks cargo was. This is pretty obviously something that I think would be a cool little additional detail for standalone once the game is more stable, it's also something that I think would be a nice addition in an aesthetic way, rather than in a functional way.

    Bronies and CareBears

    Perhaps an old house or decrepit warehouse in the middle of nowhere covered in graffiti. Among this graffiti could be a poorly drawn Rainbow Dash or something. There could be a consumable item as rare as/rarer than Mountain Dew which has an image of a carebear or pony on it. This might, if you want to be real ambitious/dickish, spawn in the inventories of people with a super-high humanity upon death or when they respawn. A certain building in a city or village could have a dirty plushie spawn in the corner of a room. There could be a small (military? hospital camp?) compound with "Care bears welcome"/"care bears only" written in Russian (translated literally so it wouldn't be completely obvious) Vehicles can spawn in different colours and patterns, right? So why not have a decal on a motorbike with a pony or carebear on it, or a small slogan from one of either group at the back end of the vehicle. Alternatively, a set of skins, one for each vehicle, each in a different non-offensive pastel colour. The chances of these vehicles spawning in these skins could be very slim to make it extra special to find one. (Plus it would be hilarious to see a UAZ bombing it down the road with a pastel yellow body and pastel pink roofing.) Continuing with the idea of decals, perhaps a super-rare spawning AS50 with "Love and tolerate" carved into the stock, or something to that effect. Whatever, these are just some ideas for the purpose of spitballing. If there were a nod, it'd have to be subtle. Seeing something big and glaring would put me right off. I'd sooner shoot someone with a custom pony skin, for example, than let them run around acting obnoxiously. (The rarity ~pun completely intended~ of the skins on the vehicles would make up for their obviousness and obnoxiousness).

    Why the radio silence?!?

    While I haven't been too riled up by the absence, I can understand why others would be. Especially how with the last two updates the mod has had some almost game-breaking problems (like the graphical glitches as well as problems with tents/vehicles). It was a good set of opportunities and a good thing that they were taken. Problem is, it seemed to a lot of people like the mod got broken then silence for no clear benefit, other than getting more players into a broken mod. Whatever. I just hope that 1.7.3 can rectify some of the issues that have popped up recently. And I really hope that it is to a satisfactory level of quality for you to release it by the 6th, as stated in the other thread. If not, oh well. We can wait.

    Cars rare ?!

    I've been playing for a good while (no idea how long) and until about a week ago I'd never found a vehicle that wasn't either exploded or being driven at me by some clan guys. I've fixed up about 4 buses in Elektro and Cherno combined, a Ural at the far NW and a tractor in the east. Problem is, the server restarts tend to either delete them or remove whatever gear is placed in them. Basically, even on low-pop, brand new servers getting a vehicle is hit-and-miss. Keeping them is just as, if not even more of a risk. Elektro on a low-pop server is usually relatively low-risk. It can actually be quite fun, purely for that risk factor, to be running to and from the industrial area for the sake of a bus. I'd have totally gone for it. Then again, I'm the sort of player who runs at these things with reckless abandon (and usually gets capped on my way).

    I think you should be able to drag and carry. When dragging the body you could move more slowly, but be able to equip your side-arm. When carrying the body, you could move more quickly (though not as fast as normal running, that'd be weird) but be unable to equip any weapon. That way, whilst recovering a body during a fire fight, you could at least return fire. And after the fighting is over, you could do the same task but a little faster, albeit a little more exposed.

    I thought it would be pretty awesome on all sides in the whole lots-of-corpses-in-a-truck scenario. I know that I, for a fact, would love the process of actually loading them up into a truck. Plus, it would be a pretty amazing sight to see, especially if you're new to the game. And it cleans up the roads! Which would mean that people wouldn't be able to tell by the sound of flies whether or not the area was dangerous or not, putting everyone on the coast in a permanent state or alert (because no bodies no longer means no gun fighting had been going on).

    Yeah, okay, all of these suggestions are really good. Love the idea of convoys, harnesses and becoming infected.
  24. These guys are basically a "trading" faction (named after the medieval group, yep) who used to get in skirmishes with communists over a couple stations around the red line. They're generally neutral if I remember correctly, but they're pretty much the closest thing to a stable society in the Metro. They got pretty rich pretty quick by basically being made up of trading posts intersecting every other major line.
