  1. I am an admin for a SEA server. I could find this very easy in the logs and I would ban you without question. Zero Tolerence for hacked items.

  3. I understand the level at which Rocket is on this Mod, but that has to be one of the illogical things I have ever read on forums.. So a person can ask for stuff to be hacked for him, and not get banned. So if we are to transfer logic to the real world Why do we arrest people who buy drugs? Of course we should ban (in theory) people who knowingly pick up a hacked item/vehicle.. his chat log (once proven true) should be plenty of evidence to ban the guy asking for items. He even asks for things knowing ban was an option!!
  4. Can we get a sticky for admins in the cheat sections that explains how to clean up a server once a hacker has hacked in tents full of illegal guns items/ self healing vechiles.. etc.. I am an admin and found a large cache of the above. I have no idea how to rid the server of these items, anyone can come and pick up these items and get banned.. how can I clean the server?

    It's a learning curve. Hacking is easy. catching them is a little more work, but eventually they will be caught. I have banned ~ 7 people for hacking on my server. We are able to catch the lazy no programmer hackers. We will catch the other eventually. Doesn;t mean they won't be back.. they just have to purchase the game again.. I guess if you are rich.. you don't care.. but man that has to be boring
  7. Im an admin and I yet to find the setting for turning off water eating your items.. anyone want to point that one out to me?
  8. While this doesn't constitute a "cheater" one thing that might be in place is video quality. Players can lower there video quality to low and a lot of the foilage from tres and bushed thin out. They can see through entire tree lines this way. So, I'm not sure if you have a cheater or not, but one possibilty is he could see you and you couldn't see him. this is obviously a problem from a see not seen standpoint.

    He is logged in your server_console.log when he joins your server (veteran server has nothing to do with his logging).. His GUID is also logged.. Times are also logged.. you'll need to make sure he is hacking and ban him in your ban.txt file.

    The frist scirpt I found happens when you blow up a vehicle.. I know this for a fact. it is calling the animation for the vehicle blowing up.
  11. I was kicked yesterday for getting in and out of a self heal vehicle. #54 I think from my script.txt maybe it was another # anyway.. So I was trying to get rid of the hack and kept getting kicked for accessing it.. It is flagging this.. I am not scared of being "caught" because I have reason to get in and out of it.. so I can detroy it (and no a satchel charge doesn't work) but if someone else found this hacked vehicle they are likely to get banned..

  13. Reset doesn't do it.. I ran over the tents and they where unclickable, i then rebooted and stopped and started the server the tents came back with the items still in them. The vehicles were only able to destroy by driving them into the water.. Once such self healing vehicle I just drove off the map because I was nowhere near the water. I'd love to know exactly how to remove items from the game that are found to be hacked.. Even if it means I have to power off the server for x amount of days. I have a zero tolerence rule for hacks on my server.

  15. I do programming in powershell so programing isn't new to me.. I however do not know what the scripts are written in and am trying to learn how to catch these types of logs.   18. Pretty much this.. When you come on here and promote your server over the community you get "douchebag listed" When someone asks you about where to find or configure this stuff the answer is "google --> research" HAHAH, you're worse than a hacker.
  19. Pkers are part of this game.. if you are discrimating against pkers.. your server should be black listed.
  20. Once your server has been hacked and multiple items are on your server 14 tents 4 vehicles and an array of guns some of which are not even loot able. The vehicles are self heal. How do I get rid of all these items? I am obviously going to have to pick up items that are going to get me flagged as an admin. we are getting killed out here as admins. Very little information to go off of in order to administer the server to a level that is acceptable. We have 0 to no script.txt help and most that are caught are false positives. The game is great but spending 4 hours trying to run over tents and hope the items disapper is sad. Sad that we have no idea how to keep the server fair and fun. Any suggestions on how to clean up a server once hacked weapons/self healing vehicles/tents with multiple items in them?
  21. They dont work on self healing vehicles. I tried. It shows them blowing up but the vehicle heals.
  22. I ran into this but it only did this when I was trying to move and destroy a hacked vehicle. The vehicle would self heal if I got out. Maybe your vehicle was a hacked one?
