Server is now running GOTCHA Anti-Hacks

We have updated the server to DayZ Patch 1.7.3

Two Updates: #1 - Today we have implemented a new Anti-hacking system to our server. It connects to the DayZ community verified hacker banlist and imports the GUIDs into our banlist. If you see a message saying someone was banned by DayZ Anti-Hax, it doesn't necessarily mean they were hacking on our server. It means they were hacking at some point, maybe on a different server, got caught, verified and was added to the global ban list. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but it is what it is. At this time we have full confidence the system is running the way is should be. You hack, you will get caught eventually. Before anyone says, "I swear i wasn't hacking!" Yes we could unban you, but because you have been placed in the community hackers database, the system will simply ban you again. If you would like to plead your case you will need to take it up with the DayZ Community Banlist folks. https://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/ #2 - Scheduled auto-reboots have been set to every 3 hours. You do not need to disconnect during these reboots.

Today i will be updating the server to the latest ARMA patch and configuring auto reboots with 15, 5 and 1 minute warnings.

We are working hard to the server back up, just waiting on the developers to release an updated package. They are working hard, i will keep everyone updated.

***AUTOMATED DATABASE MAINTENANCE*** Another step to combat hackers/scripters, we are running automated database maintenance. Meaning every 30 minutes before a backup is performed, any survivor or vehicle/tent carrying illegal gear will be removed from the database. The survivor will have to respawn on the beach with default gear and the vehicles will respawn at their default locations. If you find gear you think may be illegal, please don't pick it up. Contact an admin for confirmation. Thanks.

Update: the new cheat system is working out pretty well. When someone tries to teleport and kill everyone, he just reappears back in the same place. FU hackers :)

Hence the new anti-cheat. We will let it do its job and lay off the weapon/ammo restrictions.

Server's back up. We implemented a new anti-cheat system. Keep your fingers crossed! PS - updated to the latest arma patch.

We now have 100 vehicles.

The cFix are not scripting or spawning in anything. They are definitely not teleporting to recover stolen vehicles either. We got the SUV stolen last night and fly around in a chopper for 20 minutes looking for it before we gave up. The sandbags were dupped to create a parking lot to store the vehicles they find to trade them to other players for medical supplies, car parts, food, etc. They offer players pickups and rides for trading items. I don't see anything wrong with that. Cash, you, along with other players were kicked for having questionable gear. All bans were lifted because we realize now that some hackers came in and spawned a bunch of stuff, then put them in the back of a few vehicles. Because of this, we cannot determine whether or not the gear people have was found or spawned in. Therefore we only ban people for either being asshats, teleporting or mass killing the server. We suggest that all players report illegal items when they are found. The top 3 are AS50 TWS, Radio and Satchel charges.
